A day at Hogwarts.

Chapter 595 The Black and White Paths Join Forces

Chapter 595 The Underworld and the Righteous Join Forces
“Char... Charles…”

Harry called out softly, his face pale and his hands trembling nervously, waiting for Charles to say, "She's alright."

Not only him, but also Professor McGonagall, Ron, Ginny, and others in the audience did the same.

"Zizi~"

"Crack~"

"hiss~"

Charles slowly floated up, and countless tiny electric currents appeared around him. The currents became more and more numerous and dense, forcing Harry and the others, as well as the Death Eaters, to retreat. Upon seeing this, Voldemort immediately jumped out of the cauldron and put on his pants.

The lightning danced wildly like silver snakes, growing ever more violent and intense, illuminating his figure as if a god had descended to earth.

Everyone felt an unprecedented pressure coming towards them, almost suffocating them.

Charles's aura was surging, growing wildly, and intensifying. The electric current around his body was becoming increasingly violent, giving rise to the thought, "What in the world can possibly stop him?"

Everyone present paled, feeling the ground beneath their feet tremble slightly.

The lightning bolt left Charles's body and rapidly converged in the air, producing a deafening crackling sound, like countless tiny thunderbolts tearing wildly through the clouds, instantly forming an enormous lightning jellyfish.

It is completely transparent, like the purest crystal. Each tentacle is formed by condensed blue currents, which are intricately interwoven and emit a hissing static sound.

The canopy resembled a giant blue dome, its surface shimmering with arcs of light that emitted a merciless and blinding glow, tinging the surrounding air with a deep blue hue.

The lightning jellyfish floated in the air, rising and falling slowly, emitting a low-frequency hum. The sound waves mixed with magical vibrations spread like an invisible tide, causing the doors and windows of the entire Little Hangleton house to shake violently, cracks to spread in the walls, and dust to fall in a flurry.

Driven by Charles's ruthless will, the giant jellyfish, composed of pure magical energy, surged forward, its tentacles whipping like long whips.

Wherever it passed, the air seemed to be ionized, leaving behind winding blue electric tails and emitting a burnt ozone smell. The daytime sky was made even more dazzling, and the sunlight seemed dim.

Blue lightning cascaded down the jellyfish tentacles like a waterfall, transforming into enormous electric snakes.

Before Rodolphus could react, the tentacles wrapped him up, and he was reduced to ashes by the violent electric current, without even having time to make a sound.

The Death Eaters were terrified, fearing they would be next, and they all turned and ran.

Voldemort ran so fast that he didn't even have time to put on his clothes, and ended up bumping into Dumbledore, who was running from the tavern.

"What did you do to Charles?" Dumbledore's eyes widened in anger, and the Elder Wand was pointed at Voldemort.

He thought to himself that Voldemort might have done something to Charles when he rescued him.

Voldemort pointed at Grindelwald and said, "I have no power to do anything to Charles. You can ask him if you don't believe me!"

Dumbledore sensed something amiss, but now was not the time to consider that; he needed to deal with Charles's matter first.

At this moment, Charles seemed to have lost consciousness, or perhaps his only thought was to destroy everything.

The tentacles of the lightning jellyfish smashed the chapel and yew trees, and Riddle House was reduced to dust. A deep ditch was left next to the ruins of the Gaunt family mansion. Each impact produced a deafening roar.

Jack wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Thankfully, his friend's family's ruins were saved.

He looked at Charles and sighed inwardly.

Ancient magic is closely related to personal emotions and feelings. Charles's emotional outburst, triggered by seeing Hermione struck by the Avada Kedavra curse, caused the ancient magical power within him to go berserk.

Charles and the lightning jellyfish flew toward Little Hangleton, where streets and buildings crumbled and shattered under the scorching lightning, sending debris flying and smoke billowing; thatched-roof houses were instantly reduced to charcoal, flames rising and black smoke billowing.

Such a commotion attracted the attention of the Aurors, Scrimgeour and the other Aurors, who were dumbfounded.

The lightning jellyfish floated and twisted in the air, blotting out the sun. Its enormous body almost covered the entire town, and the blue lightning illuminated the terrified faces below, reflecting their trembling figures.

Each time it extends its tentacles and releases electricity, it unleashes a devastating storm. Gale-force winds whip up rubble and uproot trees, as if trying to erase this peaceful village from the map without leaving a trace.

An Auror cast a spell at Charles, but an invisible shield seemed to be around him, and all the spells were deflected.

Ignoring Voldemort, who was only wearing trousers and no clothes, Fudge anxiously asked Dumbledore, "What do we do?" Dumbledore frowned and said, "This... is basically... very difficult!"

He realized that the magic Charles was using was very strange, probably the kind of magical energy he had obtained underground on Christmas Day.

This ability is extremely tricky, and Phineas Black should know something, but he says nothing.

Fudge said anxiously, "I'm worried that this will ruin the whole of England!"

Grindelwald said nonchalantly, "Then send him to France."

“Good idea…” Fudge immediately stopped himself. “No, we should make Charles stop.”

Grindelwald sighed, then said, "I have a way, but it requires everyone's cooperation, including you Death Eaters."

Voldemort paused for a moment, thinking that he still needed Charles to go to Gringotts underground to help him retrieve Hufflepuff's Cup, and that the person who invited him was Grindelwald. Finally, he nodded.

Fudge was preparing to resign as Minister of Magic and had just been handing over some work with Scrimgeour. He never expected to encounter this situation on his last shift.

The priority right now is to calm things down, so he nodded in agreement.

The Aurors felt that what had happened today was somewhat unreal. They were actually going to join forces with the Death Eaters to deal with Charles. Were they still half asleep?

The Death Eaters felt helpless, thinking that the blame lay entirely with Rodolphus.

He knew Charles and that girl were close when he was an undercover agent at Hogwarts last year, yet he still tried to kill them, even if it meant using the Crucifixion Curse.

Thankfully, he died without a trace, and didn't seem to be in any pain. Otherwise, I don't know how he would have been punished afterward.

Both the underworld and the legitimate world followed Grindelwald's instructions, and Harry and his friends also helped, quickly forming a circle to surround Charles and Lightning Jellyfish.

They raised their wands high, their tips gleaming with dazzling golden light, and together cast a powerful protective spell, causing their wands to disappear into the ground.

"All curses come to an end."

"All curses end!"

"All curses... come to an end..."

Harry heard the familiar voice, turned around and saw Hermione beside him chanting a spell and then disappearing into the ground with her wand, just like everyone else. His hand trembled and he almost stuck his wand into the back of his foot.

Countless golden beams of magic surged from their wands, connecting with each other to form a massive wall of golden flames.

The lightning jellyfish's tentacles slammed heavily against the golden wall, and everyone's hearts jumped into their throats.

With a loud bang, the golden wall merely shook, appearing completely undamaged.

Relieved, many people smiled.

The group raised their wands, and golden spells streaked across the sky like meteors, weaving into a massive net of light. The net was fine and resilient, attempting to stop the jellyfish's advance.

The golden and blue magical energies collided violently in the air, devouring each other and emitting a deafening roar. The energy waves spread like ripples, shaking the earth. The whole scene was magnificent and inspiring, and the confrontation between light and darkness seemed to tear the sky apart.

The light network gradually suppressed the jellyfish's offensive, the electric current weakened, the buzzing subsided, and finally disappeared.

This crisis, which nearly destroyed Little Hangleton, was eventually contained with the combined efforts of wizards from both the righteous and the evil paths.

But Charles’s almost godlike power and the terrifying aura of the blue lightning jellyfish were enough to chill all who witnessed it. Cold sweat soaked their clothes as they deeply felt his terrifying power to overturn the world, as if he could turn the world into a hell with just a wave of his hand.

When Voldemort looked at Charles, who was falling exhausted, his eyes seemed to blaze with fire. This was the power he had been craving.

Jack watched all of this from the shadows and only breathed a slight sigh of relief.

For some reason, Rodolphus's Avada Kedavra curse was authentic, but Hermione was only stunned after being hit. She was struck a few times by lightning during Charles's magical rampage, and her heartbeat and breathing returned to normal.

It was because he saw this that Jack didn't intervene; at worst, Hermione could just call out a couple of times, and Charles should recover.
