During the class meeting, the teacher briefly introduced the school's rules and regulations and the curriculum, then asked everyone to introduce themselves so they could get to know each other. When it was Zhang Beixing and Sun Tingting's turn to introduce themselves, both were a little nervous, but since they had met once before, they quickly relaxed and chatted happily. Seeing how familiar they were, other classmates also came over to greet them and chat. Soon, the afternoon passed, and everyone gradually became acquainted.

After school, Sun Tingting said to Zhang Beixing, "Thank you so much today! If it weren't for you, I probably wouldn't have been able to find the registration office or my classroom! We're classmates now, so please take care of me!"

As she spoke, she extended her hand to shake hands with Zhang Beixing. Zhang Beixing smiled and grasped her hand, saying, "No problem! From now on, we're good friends, and we should help each other out!"

The afterglow of the setting sun spilled onto the campus paths, adding a touch of warmth to this early autumn evening. Zhang Beixing and Sun Tingting walked side by side on their way back to the dormitory, their shadows stretching long along the long campus path.

"What do you think of our classmates?" Sun Tingting broke the silence and asked curiously.

Zhang Beixing pondered for a moment and said, "It's not bad, everyone is quite enthusiastic. Especially Zhang Hao, he seems very lively, he should be able to get along with everyone very quickly."

"Yes, I also think he's a really nice person. By the way, which dorm do you live in? Maybe we live very close to each other," Sun Tingting asked again.

“I live in apartment 502 of building 3. What about you?” Zhang Beixing replied.

"Wow, what a coincidence! I live in Building 3, Room 501! We're right next door!" Sun Tingting exclaimed in surprise.

Zhang Beixing was also a little surprised, not expecting that the two of them were so destined to be classmates and even live in the same dormitory building. He smiled and said, "Then it will be convenient to visit each other in the future, and I can come to see you anytime."

"Yes, yes! We can study together, eat together, and go shopping together! That's awesome!" Sun Tingting jumped up excitedly.

The two were chatting happily when a cell phone rang, interrupting their conversation. Sun Tingting took out her phone and saw that it was her mother calling.

"Hello, Mom, what's wrong?" Sun Tingting asked as she answered the phone.

"Tingting, are you adjusting well to school? Have you eaten yet?" came Sun's mother's concerned voice from the other end of the phone.

"Mom, don't worry, I'm doing fine. I just had lunch at the cafeteria with a new friend," Sun Tingting said with a smile.

"That's good, that's good. Take good care of yourself, don't worry us," Sun's mother said.

"Okay, Mom, don't worry." After hanging up the phone, Sun Tingting turned to Zhang Beixing and said, "It was my mom calling to ask how I was doing at school."

“Your mom really cares about you,” Zhang Beixing said with a smile. “Unlike my mom, she doesn’t really care about me.”

"Maybe it's because I'm an only child, so my parents spoil me a lot," Sun Tingting explained. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she said to Zhang Beixing, "By the way, are you free tonight? How about we go for a walk around campus together? I heard there's a cafe on the west campus with maid cafes."

Zhang Beixing's eyes lit up when he heard Sun Tingting's words, and he smiled and said, "Maid cafe? That sounds interesting. I've never tried it before. Okay, let's go check it out together tonight."

The two set off immediately, walking along the campus paths towards the west campus. The scenery along the way was exceptionally beautiful under the setting sun, and they stopped frequently to admire the campus views and take photos.

By the time I reached the West Campus, it was already getting dark, but the café's lights were exceptionally bright. Through the glass windows, I could see the cozy atmosphere and the waitresses dressed in maid outfits.

"Wow, it looks really good!" Sun Tingting exclaimed excitedly.

As the two entered the café, they were immediately enveloped by a rich aroma of coffee. The interior was decorated in a classic European style, with exquisite oil paintings on the walls and vintage furniture in the corners. But what was most captivating were the waitresses dressed as maids, who served customers with smiles, making them feel as if they had stepped into a dream world.

"Gentlemen, what would you like to drink?" A waitress dressed as a maid approached and asked respectfully.

"We'd like two maid coffees," Sun Tingting said impatiently.

"Okay, please wait a moment." The waiter smiled and turned to prepare the coffee.

Soon, two cups of fragrant maid coffee were placed in front of them. The aroma of the coffee was so enticing that it instantly invigorated them. They savored the delicious coffee while enjoying the ambiance and the waitresses' performance, savoring this rare moment of leisure.

"This place is so creative! We should come here often in the future," Sun Tingting said happily.

"Yeah, I didn't expect there to be such an interesting place on campus," Zhang Beixing said with a smile. "Looks like our lives won't be boring from now on."

The two sipped their coffee and chatted about the latest happenings on campus, and time flew by. When they left the coffee shop, night had already enveloped the entire campus, and the twinkling lights created a peaceful and warm atmosphere.

Back in his dormitory, Zhang Beixing was still in a very good mood. He couldn't wait to call his younger sister, Zhang Shumin, to share his experiences of the day.

"Hey, bro, what's up? Why are you calling me at this hour? Do you miss me?" Zhang Shumin's playful voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Of course, I think about you every day," Zhang Beixing said with a smile. "But I'm calling you this time to tell you some good news."

"What good news? Did you find a girlfriend?" Zhang Shumin joked.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Do you think your brother is that kind of person?" Zhang Beixing said, feigning anger.

"Alright, alright, I was just teasing you, don't be angry. Tell me quickly, what's the good news? I'm so eager to hear it!" Fang Shu urged.

Zhang Beixing then revealed a satisfied smile and said, "Today is my first day of university. I made a wonderful friend named Sun Tingting. We are not only in the same class, but also live in the same dormitory building. Our fate is just too deep."

"Wow, that's great! With friends around, you won't feel lonely at school." Fang Shu was also happy for her brother.

"Yes, and we even ate at the school cafeteria together today. Although the food wasn't as good as what we cook at home, it tasted really fresh. We also had a class meeting this afternoon and got to know the other classmates. Everyone was so friendly." Zhang Beixing enthusiastically recounted his day's experiences.

"It sounds like your class has a really great atmosphere. By the way, what does Sun Tingting look like? What's her personality like?" Fang Shu asked, gossiping like a curious child.

"Oh dear, why are you asking such a question?" Zhang Beixing was both amused and annoyed. "She's quite cute, and has a lively and cheerful personality. Anyway, I think she's a really good friend."

"Alright, alright, I won't ask anymore. But you have to study hard at school and get along well with your classmates," Fang Shu instructed. "I know, I know, you little busybody," Zhang Beixing replied with a smile, "You also have to study hard and not worry your brother."

The two chatted for a while longer before Zhang Beixing hung up the phone. Lying in bed, he reflected on the day's events, feeling a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction, and filled with anticipation for his future university life.

The alarm clock woke Zhang Beixing up early the next morning. He groggily got up, washed up, and went to the cafeteria to buy breakfast. When he got to the classroom, he found Sun Tingting already sitting there.

"Good morning!" Sun Tingting greeted Zhang Beixing warmly as he entered.

"Good morning." Zhang Bei walked to the seat next to her and sat down. "Why are you here so early today?"

"I want to get a good seat so I can see clearly during class," Sun Tingting said matter-of-factly.

Zhang Beixing smiled helplessly, thinking that this girl was really thoughtful. But he also thought it was a good thing; at least he wouldn't have to worry about not being able to see the blackboard in class.

Soon, the other students also entered the classroom one after another. They greeted each other, chatted, and waited for the bell to ring.

The first class was English, taught by a middle-aged woman who seemed quite serious. However, her teaching was exceptionally good, lively and interesting, and everyone listened attentively. Zhang Beixing also felt that this class significantly improved his English.

After class, Sun Tingting took Zhang Beixing to the library to borrow books.

The library was always so quiet and solemn; once inside, it felt like time slowed down. Zhang Beixing and Sun Tingting walked quietly among the bookshelves, afraid of breaking the tranquility.

"Hey, look over there!" Sun Tingting suddenly called out softly, pointing to a calico cat that was dozing in the corner.

Zhang Beixing looked in the direction she pointed and saw the cat curled up on a small cushion. Its markings were clear and beautiful, and it looked extremely cute.

"Wow, it's so cute!" Sun Tingting couldn't help but walk over, gently squat down, and reach out to touch it.

The calico cat seemed to sense someone approaching and slowly opened its eyes. Its eyes were amber, with a clever glint in them. It looked at Sun Tingting, then at Zhang Beixing, and then let out a soft "meow," as if greeting them.

"Hello, little kitty," Sun Tingting said gently. "Are you reading here too?"

Zhang Beixing couldn't help but laugh as he watched Sun Tingting play with the cat. He felt that this calico cat, like Sun Tingting, gave off a warm and welcoming feeling.

The calico cat seemed unafraid of strangers, gently rubbing against Sun Tingting's hand before closing its eyes and continuing to doze off.

"It seems it likes you quite a bit," Zhang Beixing said.

"Yes, I like it very much too," Sun Tingting said with a smile. "By the way, shall we give it a name?"

“Okay, what do you think we should call it?” Zhang Beixing asked.

Sun Tingting thought for a moment and said, "Its patterns are so pretty, let's call it 'Huahua'?"

“Hua Hua? That’s a good name, simple and easy to remember.” Zhang Beixing nodded in agreement.

After deciding on the names, the two continued choosing books. However, Sun Tingting would occasionally turn back to look at Huahua to make sure it was still sleeping peacefully. Huahua seemed to know that someone was watching it; every time Sun Tingting turned back, it would open its eyes, look at her, and then close them again reassuringly.

After borrowing the books, Zhang Beixing and Sun Tingting prepared to leave the library. As they reached the door, Sun Tingting suddenly stopped.

"What's wrong?" Zhang Beixing asked.

"I want to see the flowers one more time before I leave," Sun Tingting said.

The two returned to Hua Hua's side, where it was still sleeping peacefully. Sun Tingting gently stroked its head and whispered, "Hua Hua, we have to go now. You should sleep well here."

Hua Hua seemed to understand Sun Tingting's words. She opened her eyes, looked at her, and then gently meowed, as if saying goodbye.

Sun Tingting stood up with a smile and left the library with Zhang Beixing. Although it was only a brief encounter, they both felt that Huahua had added warmth and fun to their university life.

From then on, every time they went to the library to borrow books, they would make a point of visiting Huahua.

Hua Hua seemed to recognize them, and would affectionately rub against them every time it saw them. The other students in the library also knew about Hua Hua and came over to play with it. Gradually, Hua Hua became a little star in the library, bringing much joy to everyone.

As time went by, Hua Hua became increasingly popular in the library. More and more students discovered this adorable calico cat and came to feed and pet it. Hua Hua was always surrounded by a group of enthusiastic college students, making this corner of the library particularly lively.

"Huahua, are you slacking off here again?" A male classmate walked over with a bag of dried fish, teasing Huahua with a smile.

Hua Hua smelled the dried fish and immediately opened her eyes, standing up energetically. She meowed softly, as if to express her gratitude, then gracefully nuzzled the boy's hand before beginning to enjoy the delicious dried fish.

"Look how smart it is, it knows we've brought it treats," the boy said with a smile to the classmate next to him.

"Yeah, Hua Hua is getting more and more popular." A classmate next to her chimed in, "So many people come to feed it every day, it feels like it's becoming our school's mascot."

Zhang Beixing and Sun Tingting also frequently visited Huahua at the library. Whenever they saw Huahua being loved and cared for by everyone, they felt gratified.

"It seems we made the right choice in naming Huahua back then," Zhang Beixing said with a smile. "Now it's become a little celebrity in the library."

“That’s right, Huahua has brought us countless joys.” Sun Tingting also said with deep emotion, “Sometimes when the pressure of studying is too great, I come over to see Huahua and touch its little head, and my mood immediately relaxes and becomes more comfortable.”

Hua Hua seemed to particularly enjoy being the center of attention and pampered. It always obediently allowed everyone to pet and hug it, and would even rub against people, seeking their attention. Occasionally, it would mischievously jump onto the table or bookshelf, eliciting laughter and exclamations from everyone. (End of Chapter)
