Chapter 2113: "The Mountain Clearing Difficulty Continued"
Chapter 2113: "The Mountain Clearing Difficulty Continued"
Some people may argue that didn’t Liu Bang also start from scratch to conquer the world?
That's because you don't understand the novel "Chu-Han Contention" deeply enough. Liu Bang didn't really start from scratch, he actually had a certain family background. This can be seen from the fact that when he was young, he traveled thousands of miles to become a retainer of Lord Xinling. Liu Bang had a family background.
The simplest example is that Liu Bang built his own family business, but from Liu Bang's father and mother to Liu Bang's brothers and their wives, none of them starved to death. This was simply unimaginable in the late Qin Dynasty.
And what about Zhu Yuanzhang?
In the end, only a nephew and a brother-in-law were left in the Zhu family. How can this be compared!
……
In addition, there is the complexity of Zhu Yuanzhang's entire character. In the early stage, he was a grassroots hero who rose to prominence. In the middle stage, he was an emperor who reconciled the north and the south. In the later stage, he became a ruthless executioner who killed meritorious officials. This character is too complicated, and his complexity is the most complicated in all the novels of rubbish authors.
What is more complicated than Zhu Yuanzhang is the entire political situation in the early Republic of China. Were the meritorious officials slaughtered by Zhu Yuanzhang really innocent?
Did Crown Prince Zhu Biao really die of a sudden illness?
Did the emperor’s eldest grandson Zhu Xiongying really die of smallpox again?
Was the civil service group really as obedient as quails throughout the Hongwu period?
The North had been separated from the South for 500 years, 300 years longer than the 500-year period of the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Was it really so natural for the North to reunite with the South and become part of China?
Even a moron can see through the North-South List case. Are all the people involved really morons?
All these add up to the value of "The Sun and the Moon Are Bright" which ranks second. To be honest, if "The Sun and the Moon Are Bright" is just missing a character like Zhuge Liang, it would have directly surpassed the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and become the most outstanding work written by Liu Xu.
Liu Bowen does not count. Liu Bowen was a mythical figure created by the civil service group in the late Ming Dynasty to counterattack and strangle the Huaixi Group. After all, if we count Liu Bowen's contributions in history books, except for a few ideas during the Battle of Poyang Lake, Liu Bowen actually did domestic affairs at other times, which had nothing to do with military affairs. Such a person could never catch up with Zhuge Liang.
After writing the last word of "The Sun and the Moon Are Bright" and successfully completing the entire novel, Liu Xu naturally faced the next question, which was whether to continue writing.
Given the current situation, Liu Xu should never continue wasting time on novels.
Because Liu Xu's time is very tight and the threats from the technological world and Xu Xu are imminent, Liu Xu should naturally focus all his time on breakthroughs and strengthening himself, rather than continuing to scratch his head and write novels.
Secondly, the novel has only minimal impact on Liu Xu's current condition.
Before coming to Gu'an World, novels were undoubtedly the core of Liu Xu's growth, and the climax of the novels was the key to Liu Xu's repeated comebacks. But as mentioned before, novels nowadays are almost no longer a big improvement for Liu Xu. Even if he wants to rely on novels to attract new readers, he can just read Liu Xu's previous works. There is no need to continue writing new books.
Wu Cheng'en and Luo Guanzhong both died young. Will this affect their becoming the most outstanding novelists in Chinese history?
Therefore, it is enough to just keep so many classic novels to rely on. Liu Xu's real source of strength now is actually the Tongshi Group. Instead of having time to write novels, it would be more reliable to invest this time into the development and growth of the Tongshi Group.
Finally, Liu Xu himself didn't really want to write about it, because after the Ming Dynasty came the Qing Dynasty... Liu Xu really couldn't bear to write about the process of the Qing Dynasty's rule over the Central Plains, which was actually a kind of torture for Liu Xu. So it was the best choice to stop writing here, and there was no need to continue writing.
"But I may be gone soon!" Liu Xu touched his nose and said, "The feudal history of China finally ended in the Qing Dynasty. I will at least give readers a complete China!"
"I am still an author after all. As an author, isn't his basic virtue to keep updating as long as he lives?" Liu Xu rubbed his temples with a smile and tears, and finally picked up the pen to write a new title for the book: "Qingshan Nanxu"
The reason why the book has such a slightly depressing title is that Liu Xu intended to break his own convention when he wrote this novel for the last time.
After all, according to previous examples, each new book written by Liu Xu is about the founding of the dynasty, so this new book should be about Nurhaci, Huang Taiji, and Fulin.
However, those who are familiar with the history of the Qing Dynasty know that none of these three people can be considered the founding emperors of the Qing Dynasty.
Because as a founding emperor, he did not want to completely unify the world, but at least he wanted to unify part of the north and south, and then his descendants would unify the north and south. This would make sense.
But the problem is that there was no such emperor in the Qing Dynasty.
Let's not talk about Nurhaci. Although various Qing palace dramas portray Nurhaci as being very brave, Nurhaci was actually just a tribal leader. Even after rebelling to the end, he failed to unify the entire Liaodong region. At least several important cities in Liaodong were still in the hands of the Ming Dynasty.
Huang Taiji is relatively more suitable. Under his leadership, the Qing Dynasty basically unified Liaodong, reformed and established the political system of the Qing Dynasty, unified the entire southern part of the desert, and united Manchuria and Mongolia. Finally, and most importantly, the Qing Dynasty was established under his leadership. Huang Taiji was also the first Qing emperor to be crowned emperor. Therefore, it seems more suitable to regard Huang Taiji as the founding emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
But the same problem is that no matter how brave you praise Huang Taiji, he was, after all, the emperor of a local separatist regime. His regime only ruled the entire Liaodong region and never set foot in the core area of China. So it is a bit outrageous to write about such a person as the founding emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
The emperor who actually led the Qing Dynasty to break through Shanhaiguan, occupy Beijing, and then roar down and unify the world was actually Fulin.
But thanks to the Qing Dynasty palace drama, Fulin was a complete puppet emperor. He suffered all kinds of oppression and torture in the early period, otherwise he would not have become a monk in the later period. The person who really led the Eight Banners to unify the world was actually Dorgon.
Dorgon perfectly fits the script of a founding emperor. Although he was born a prince, his ex-wife was not happy with her life, and his mother was forced to be buried with Nurhaci. The two brothers grew up dependent on each other and suffered from the suspicion and suppression of Huang Taiji. His most beloved woman was still his sister-in-law.
As a result, he exploded in middle age, took control of the government after Huang Taiji's death, and led the entire Qing Dynasty to march from north to south and unify the country. If Dorgon finally kicked Fulin down and ascended the throne to become emperor himself, then Liu Xu could really consider writing this novel with Huang Taiji as the protagonist.
However, Dorgon was unable to solve the step-son problem that troubled countless men. After his death, he was kicked away by his own son. Not only was he deprived of all his honors, but his tomb was also destroyed and his body was dug up. In the end, no trace of his body was left. It was simply a horrific sight.
