Chapter 1059: Ego Star

Chapter 1059: Ego Star
This is an ocean made up of stars. Each star is like a pearl in the universe, sparkling with charming light.

And in the center of it all, there hangs a huge planet, emitting a soft and warm light, like the heart of the universe, beating to the rhythm of life.

"Welcome to my world, Yondu."

Ego's voice rang in Yondu's ears, with a hint of imperceptible pride and expectation, "Here, you will witness the birth of a new era, an era created by Star-Lord and I."

Yondu looked at the planet with mixed emotions in his heart.

He understood that he had been involved in a cosmic conflict that was far beyond his imagination. And Ego, the mysterious god, was the instigator of all this.

Ego, as a member of the Celestial race, possesses power and wisdom beyond imagination.

He longed to reproduce in order to increase the number of the Celestials and thus consolidate his position in the universe.

So he made a grand plan.

He traveled to every corner of the universe, from distant galaxies to unknown areas. Wherever he went, he left his genetic material, hoping to find life that could carry the genes of the gods in the endless universe.

These lives will become the key to his reproduction.

Star-Lord was born out of such a grand experiment. Ego found the "perfect host" in his mind on a blue planet called Earth.

The Earth, this planet full of vitality and vigor, has nurtured countless lives, and Star-Lord is a miracle among these lives.

He inherited some of Ego's power, and although it has not yet awakened, the latent energy is already stirring in his body.

However, Ego did not place all his hopes on Star-Lord alone.

The chances of success are slim, so he hires Yondu, the most famous bounty hunter in the universe, to search for other children who might have the Celestial Gene.

Yondu, with his keen intuition and extraordinary fighting skills, became an indispensable part of Ego's plan.

He traveled between various planets and brought the children chosen by Ego back to Ego's star for further testing and training.

However, as the mission progressed, Yongdu gradually discovered the cruel truth of Ego's plan.

Those children who failed to pass the screening were ruthlessly eliminated by Ego without exception. Their lives were like grass and were easily trampled upon.

Yondu's heart was deeply shaken, and he began to question his choice, whether he should continue to serve such a cold-blooded and ruthless being.

Then he met Star-Lord, and he decided to protect the child at all costs and help him escape from Ego's clutches.

The planet of Ego, which looks like a beautiful picture, actually hides unknown secrets. The surface of the planet was reshaped by Ego's powerful ability, turning it into a colorful, paradise-like scene.

There were colorful lights floating in the sky, and the ground was green and full of birdsong and flowers. It seemed like a fairy tale world far away from the hustle and bustle. However, all this was just an illusion carefully arranged by Ego to maintain his image.

The real Ego Star is actually a planet with a human face. This old face is hideous and cruel, as if it is a true reflection of Ego's inner heart.

Every detail of the planet reveals Ego's madness and paranoia. He used his abilities to transform the planet into a huge energy absorber to maintain his glamorous appearance.

In the celestial system where Ego's star is located, the original star has decayed into a supernova, and its powerful gravity and radiation pose a serious threat to the surrounding planets.

In order to avoid wasting his energy and maintain the illusion on the planet's surface, Ego began to frantically absorb other planets around him. These planets, regardless of size or distance, were all torn apart and devoured by Ego's power, and eventually became part of his body.

Occasionally, an unfortunate spaceship would mistakenly enter this area and be pulled by Ego's gravity, becoming his new prey.

The lives on these spaceships were often destroyed by Ego's power before they had a chance to react, and turned into the energy he needed to maintain the illusion.

Therefore, the area around Ego's star became extremely empty, with it alone floating in the universe, motionless, like an abandoned star.

Star-Lord was naturally rescued as well.

"Quil, my child, I am your father."

The god Ego separated Yondu and the others and let them leave on their own, then he found Star-Lord and said.

"What did you say? You are my father?"

Star-Lord's voice was full of disbelief and a hint of irony. His eyes lingered on Ego's weathered but still majestic face, trying to find a trace of familiarity, but in the end found nothing.

In this vast universe, a sudden declaration of family affection is like the most irrelevant meteor in the night sky, fleeting but hard to ignore.

Ego smiled slightly, and in that smile there was both fatherly kindness and a hint of the cunning of a space traveler.

"Yes, I know it's hard for you to believe. After all, we have never really crossed paths, at least not in your memory."

Ego has traveled the universe for many years and has seen all kinds of life. He has a perfect understanding of human hearts, especially souls like Star-Lord, who appear unruly on the outside but have a pure and confused soul on the inside.

Star-Lord's expression gradually changed from shock to confusion. He touched his chin, as if wondering whether this sudden news was worth his time to verify.

Seeing this, Igo secretly thought about how to impress this young life with the most concise and effective language.

Star-Lord frowned slightly and began to listen carefully. Although he still had many doubts in his heart, his curiosity about the unknown and a hint of possible blood connection made him unable to completely reject Ego's words.

Igo continued, "Your mother is a beautiful girl from Earth. She is different from others. She made me feel an emotion I have never felt before - love. This emotion is something I have never experienced on other planets. It is both sweet and painful, and it makes me yearn for it and feel terrified."

"Then why didn't you save her?"

Star-Lord finally couldn't help it, because he remembered when his mother was seriously ill.

But the man did not show up.

"I'm late."

Igo said.

He told a lie.

He admitted that he did fall in love with Star-Lord's mother. This love transcended race, time and space, and was the most brilliant chapter in his long life.
