Chapter 1640 Sun Wukong and Raditz have a good talk
Raditz's energy jet, though impressive, was simply a release of energy.
He couldn't even concentrate his energy properly, resulting in scattered and disordered energy waves that couldn't unleash the destructive power expected from a combat power of 1500 points.
Golden energy streams scattered and splashed in the air, like a grand fireworks display, but lacked the deadly penetrating power and cohesive force.
Faced with such an attack, Sun Wukong's spiral-charged ki blast exhibited completely different characteristics.
This energy wave spun at an astonishing speed, absorbing atmospheric energy with each rotation, while Sun Wukong continued to inject his own energy.
The pressure effect from the rotation made the energy beam extremely solid, with blue electric arcs flashing on the outside, while the core exhibited a high-density energy state that was almost white.
The outcome was a foregone conclusion the moment the two energies collided.
Raditz's scattered energy waves crashed into a rotating steel wall, unable to break through, but instead were drawn in, torn apart, and then swallowed by the high-speed rotating energy flow.
The spiraling, supercharged air blast completely shattered Raditz's attack with overwhelming force, and continued its advance with undiminished power, eventually engulfing Raditz himself.
"what!!!"
The shrill screams pierced the sky.
Upon hearing the scream, Sun Wukong's heart softened, and he stopped channeling his energy.
The spiral-charged qi wave was not a desperate, all-or-nothing attack, so he still retained a considerable amount of qi within his body.
If he continues to inject energy to boost the spiral pressure, the power of this attack can be further enhanced.
As the smoke and dust from the explosion gradually dissipated, Raditz's figure reappeared.
He lay covered in blood in the center of the impact crater. His combat suit, which could withstand attacks of hundreds of points of combat power, was tattered, with only a few fragments barely clinging to his body.
Raditz's eyes were closed, his face contorted in pain, and he had completely lost consciousness.
It's fair to say that if it weren't for the combat suit providing some protection at the last moment, he would have been completely obliterated by that attack.
Even so, his condition was not much better—the unique rotating and penetrating effect of the spiral-charged qigong wave and the progressive energy impact caused him to suffer extremely serious internal and external injuries.
"Father!"
Son Gohan flew over from a distance and carefully landed on the edge of the impact crater.
He frowned when he saw Raditz lying unconscious on the ground.
This Saiyan who claimed to be his uncle gave him a very contradictory feeling—both a sense of closeness based on blood ties and a dangerous aura unique to invaders.
"What should we do with him, Father?"
Son Gohan asked, his tone clearly wary.
Although Mr. Luther had told them about the Saiyans and knew that Raditz was indeed his uncle, Gohan simply couldn't feel any affection for this race that lived by invasion and destruction.
Sun Wukong stared at the unconscious Raditz, a look of hesitation on his face.
Although his brother had just tried to kill him, he was, after all, one of his only remaining blood relatives in the world.
After a long silence, he finally sighed: "Let's take him back first, and we can have a proper talk when he wakes up."
When Raditz regained consciousness, the first thing he felt was excruciating, tearing pain all over his body.
He struggled to open his eyes and found himself lying on a comfortable bed in a simple yet tidy room.
Sun Wukong sat on a chair by the bed, calmly watching him.
"Awake? How are you feeling?" Sun Wukong asked, his tone devoid of any hostility, but rather carrying a hint of concern.
Raditz struggled to sit up, but had to give up due to the excruciating pain.
He gritted his teeth and glared fiercely at Goku: "Kakarot, I didn't expect you to have mastered such a powerful technique. But don't be too happy yet, we Saiyans have even stronger comrades. They will definitely come to Earth to find me, and then you'll all be dead!"
To his surprise, Goku didn't show any surprise or fear, but simply nodded calmly: "I know, they're called Vegeta and Nappa, right?"
"What? How do you know their names?"
Raditz opened his eyes wide in shock; the question even temporarily overshadowed the pain in his body.
He was certain that he had never mentioned those two names in front of any Earthling.
Sun Wukong did not answer directly, but stood up and went to the window to look at the peaceful scenery outside.
"Raditz, you know too little about Earth. Although we are not born as strong as the Saiyans, we have our own ways and wisdom to acquire information."
Raditz struggled to breathe, his mind racing through all the possibilities.
Does Earth possess the ability to predict the future?
Or did they capture other Saiyans before?
No, this is not possible.
After Planet Vegeta was destroyed, only a handful of Saiyans survived. Apart from the trio, there were only a few scattered warriors on missions abroad.
"Don't waste your time guessing,"
Sun Wukong turned around, a hint of sympathy in his eyes.
“You have a deep misunderstanding about our race. Not all races are like the Saiyans, who take pride in destruction and conquest.”
Raditz sneered, but winced in pain as the movement aggravated his wound: "The law of the jungle prevails. Saiyans are a warrior race, born to conquer the weak."
"Then how do you explain being defeated by someone you consider weak?"
Sun Wukong calmly countered with a question that directly struck Raditz's pride.
Raditz was silent for a moment, then said through gritted teeth, "That was just an accident, Kakarot. You must have used some trick, or that strange spinning energy wave."
"That's not a trick, but the result of cultivation."
Sun Wukong interrupted him.
“You rely too much on combat power stats, Raditz. Real combat is not just about comparing numbers, but also about skill, strategy, and energy control. While your energy jets are powerful, they lack focus and control, resulting in most of the energy being wasted.”
These words made Raditz fall into deep thought.
He had never thought about these questions. In the Saiyan's fighting philosophy, higher fighting power meant absolute victory.
Skill and control?
That's just an excuse the weak come up with to compensate for their lack of strength.
But reality is what it is – Kakarot, whose fighting power is far inferior to his, did indeed defeat him with a carefully controlled energy blast.
This made him begin to doubt his long-held beliefs.
"Prince Vegeta wouldn't make that kind of mistake,"
Raditz muttered to himself, seemingly trying to convince Sun Wukong or himself.
