Chapter 3 The Andrew Family

Green Leaf Road is the aristocratic gathering area in Finlay City, and many noble family residences in the Kingdom of Finlay are located on this Green Leaf Road.

The Andrew family mansion is also here.

"Master Lie Wen." The guard at the gate of the mansion recognized Lie Wen and bowed his head in salute.

Lie Wen nodded to the guard and walked into the mansion.

Although he is an illegitimate child and is not welcome in the Andrew family, on the surface, the servants of the family still dare not be too presumptuous towards him.

Lie Wen came to Viscount Andrew's bedroom door, Viscount Andrew's first wife Helen happened to come out of the door.

When Helen saw Lie Wen, her face immediately sank.

"Bitch, I warn you, don't try to get the wealth of the Andrew family, not a single gold coin here belongs to you!"

Helen obviously knew that Viscount Andrew had written to Lie Wen, asking Lie Wen to come back.

But she didn't know what Viscount Andrew asked Liewen to do.

Because of this, she thought a lot, and what she was most worried about was that Viscount Andrew would distribute the wealth of the Andrew family to Liewen.

Lie Wen had heard countless bad words from Helen since he was a child. He cast a cold glance at the other party, ignored the other party's malice, and walked into Viscount Andrew's bedroom.

Joseph Andrew, the current patriarch of the Andrew family, owner of the title of Viscount Andrew.

In Liewen's memory, Joseph's figure was still tall, but now lying on the bed, the old man covered with a precious gold quilt looked very thin and fragile.

Joseph opened his eyes, turned his head slightly, and looked at Lie Wen.

"You're here." Joseph said, his voice was weak, and he looked weak.

"Yes, father." Lie Wen said in a calm tone.

Joseph took out a written letter from the bedside and handed it to Lie Wen tremblingly.

Lie Wen walked over and took the letter.

"This is a letter of recommendation that I wrote. After you graduate from Willing Warrior Academy, you can take the letter to the military headquarters of the Kingdom of Finlay and find you a position as an officer. As for how far you can go in the future, it is up to you, and it has nothing to do with the Andrew family." Joseph said.

Lie Wen understood the meaning of Joseph's words. Joseph wanted to use this letter of recommendation to sever the relationship between Lie Wen and the Andrew family.

Joseph has two sons, one is born with his wife Helen, and the other is Lie Wen.

Perhaps Joseph had a premonition that he would die soon, and Helen couldn't tolerate Lie Wen, so in order to avoid property disputes after death, he made this arrangement.

The first wife inherited the title of viscount and the property of the Andrew family, while Liewen took this letter of recommendation to make a living by himself.

Lie Wen has no objection to this, he has no sense of belonging to the Andrew family.

"However, for my father to choose this way, it seems that he is still not very optimistic about my future." Lie Wen thought in his heart.

If Joseph knew that Lie Wen could become a strong man in the sanctuary, he might not say anything to make Lie Wen leave the Andrew family.

If a family has a strong man in the sanctuary, as long as the strong man in the sanctuary does not fall, the family will never decline.

In Joseph's eyes, Lie Wen was just a man with good fighter talent.

Back then, when testing magic talent, Lie Wen's affinity for the light element was top-notch, and his mental strength was twice that of his peers.

The elemental affinity is good, but the spiritual power is too low to meet the standard of becoming a magician.

To become a magician, the mental power must be at least five times that of people of the same age.

Joseph asked a friend who was an eighth-level fighter to test Liewen's fighter talent.

Lie Wen's physical talent is good, he can become a fighter, and he has a high-level affinity for the light element, which is suitable for cultivating the fighting spirit of the light attribute.

Back then, the eighth-level fighter judged that if Lie Wen practiced normally, he would definitely be able to become a sixth-level fighter, and the possibility of becoming a seventh-level fighter was not small.

This judgment is relatively accurate, and it is similar to the result given by the system.

The judgment given by the eighth-level fighter was Lie Wen's position in Joseph's eyes.

The status of a seventh-level fighter in the Kingdom of Finlay is not low, but compared with the stability of the family, Joseph prefers the latter.

So Joseph decided to give up Liewen.

Lie Wen put away the recommendation letter and said calmly: "I understand, father, if there is nothing else, I will leave first."

Joseph looked at his illegitimate son and was a little surprised. He thought that Lie Wen would resist this arrangement, but he didn't expect Lie Wen to accept it calmly.

"That's good, it saves a lot of trouble." Joseph thought to himself, and said to Lie Wen, "You go."

Lie Wen nodded. He had no special feelings for his biological father in his heart, but the other party had fulfilled the basic obligations of being a father. Before parting, Lie Wen felt that he should also give him a blessing.

"Father, take care of yourself."

After finishing speaking, Lie Wen turned and walked out the door.

Helen was standing outside the door, and beside her was a young man in his early twenties.

The young man is about 1.7 meters five, with the same black hair as Lie Wen, and he looks handsome, but his eyes are sunken, with heavy dark circles, his eyes are dull, and he looks overly drunk.

The young man's name is Denton, Liewen's half-brother, and the first heir of the Andrew family.

Helen and Denton stood outside the door and heard the conversation between Lie Wen and Joseph just now. At this moment, both of them showed complacent expressions on their faces.

"Go away, you bastard, the Andrew family has no place for you!" Helen sneered.

"You don't want to get tuition and living expenses in the future, the Andrew family won't raise moths like you!" Denton also said in a bad tone.

Lie Wen laughed angrily. He didn't want to be on the same level as them, but his generosity seemed to be a bully in the eyes of others.

He raised his hand and slapped Helen and Denton to the ground.

Helen is an ordinary person, and Denton is a third-level magician. In front of Liewen, a sixth-level fighter, he has no power to fight back.

"You, you dare to hit me!" Helen covered her red and swollen left face, staring at Lie Wen closely, her eyes were about to burst into flames, and her voice was trembling with anger.

"Guards, guards!" Denton yelled, trying to call the guards over.

Lie Wen stepped on his mouth. Although he withdrew his strength, he still crushed some of Denton's teeth.

"If your mouth can't speak, I can help you destroy it!" Lie Wen said coldly.

Denton's mouth was slammed, and his eyes were full of horror. It was only now that he realized how stupid it was for a third-level magician to provoke a sixth-level fighter in close quarters.

Denton also thought that his father was running out of time, and that he would soon become the new Viscount Andrew and inherit a huge family business. At this time, Lie Wen was annoyed, and the other party killed him. Wouldn't he be at a loss?

"No... dare... let... let... I..."

Denton kept begging for mercy, but his voice was muffled because his mouth was slammed.

Lie Wen snorted coldly and moved his foot away.

He didn't want to kill Denton either. Lie Wen couldn't escape the crime if he blatantly killed someone here. With his current strength, he still couldn't ignore the secular power.

Liewen ignored the frightened Helen and Denton, turned and left the Andrew family mansion.
