Chapter 255 Kyle is Behind
Chapter 255 Kyle is Behind
After leaving the literati's residence, an hour passed, and the few people started to walk towards Lihen Bookstore.
But today was a special day. They were far more than the few people who went to the bookstore. A large group of people crowded outside the not-so-spacious store. Everyone was trying their best to get into the store.
"Why are there so many people today!" Harry opened his mouth in surprise. He tried several times just now but couldn't squeeze in.
"Maybe Lihen Bookstore is delivering eggs." Kyle said casually.
"Really?" Ron's eyes lit up.
"Of course it's fake!"
Hermione patted his arm a little excitedly, and pointed to the upstairs window, "Look at that..."
A large banner was pulled in front of the window:
" Gilderoy Lockhart
autobiography for sale
"I Can Magic""
……
"We can see him face to face!" Hermione exclaimed excitedly, "I mean, almost all the books on the list are written by him!"
"But how do we get in." Harry rubbed his sore arms, "Those people are too strong."
"It's simple..."
Kyle cleared his throat and shouted, "Mr. Lockhart, why are you here!"
For a moment, the crowded crowd immediately stopped moving, and people turned their heads to look for something.
Kyle and the others took the opportunity to come to the door and slipped in through the crowd.
"It's really you, Kyle." Harry said with a smile.
"It's nothing." I wanted to call out to Voldemort just now, it would have worked better that way.
"Please, don't say that name." Ron shuddered suddenly. "That's bound to cause confusion."
"I know, so I didn't shout." Kyle smiled, "But Ron, you have to try to accept this name."
"Many adult wizards can't do it..." Ron muttered softly, "Except for you and Harry."
The crooked line stretched from the door to the back of the bookstore, where Gilderoy Lockhart was signing books.
They each grabbed a copy of Breaking with the Ghost, and sneaked to where the Weasleys and the Grangers were queuing.
"Oh, you're here, great!" Mrs. Weasley breathed heavily and kept patting her hair, "We'll see him in a while..."
Gradually, they met Gilderoy Lockhart. He sits behind a desk, surrounded by large photographs of himself, all "Lockharts" winking at the crowd, their dazzlingly white teeth gleaming.
Lockhart himself was dressed in pale blue robes, with a pointed wizard's hat playfully tilted on one side of his wavy blond hair.
"He's so charming..." Mrs. Weasley stood on tiptoe, looking like a fan about to meet her idol.
"Yeah..." Mr. Granger next to him echoed: "His teeth are really attractive, oh, and his hair is not bad... What brand of toiletries does he use, can I buy them here?"
"You can go to a magic supply store opposite Ollivander, there should be what you need."
Kyle on the side said: "I recommend you to try Potter's Sushun Shampoo. One of our professors has several boxes at home, and he is usually reluctant to use it."
"Even the professor is reluctant to use it, it must be very expensive..." Mr. Granger frowned.
The gold coins they exchanged were not many, and most of them had to be left for Hermione to go to school.
"It's not expensive. You can get a big bottle for a few Sickles."
Mr. Granger stroked his thinning hair, feeling a little moved.
"Thank you, boy."
He said, "I think you must be the Kyle that Arthur and Molly mentioned. Hermione often mentions you, saying that you are the smartest little wizard in Hogwarts."
"This evaluation is too high." Kyle shook his head, "I just used other people's playful time to read books."
Harry and Ron turned their heads subconsciously after listening to Kyle's words.
They feel that they are the "others" in Kyle's mouth.
However, Harry was more concerned about another matter. He walked up to Kyle and asked hesitantly, "Is the shampoo you mentioned just now..."
"That's right, it's your Potter..." Kyle said, "But this brand was sold to someone else a long time ago, and it has nothing to do with your family."
The excitement on Harry's face quickly disappeared, and he returned to Ron disappointed.
"What's wrong with you?" Ron asked.
"Nothing." Harry shook his head.
For a moment just now, he thought he had an uncle...or actually a relative, but it turned out to be nothing but joy.
"Get out of the way!"
At this time, a grumpy short man held a big black camera and squeezed past Ron, "Get out of the way, this is for the Daily Prophet."
"Oh, that's amazing!" Ron said, rubbing the sore instep of the man's foot.
Gilderoy Lockhart heard it, looked up, saw Ron, then Harry.
He stared at Harry for a while, then jumped up from his seat and called, "Merlin, isn't this Harry Potter?"
The crowd stepped aside, murmuring excitedly.
Harry watched Lockhart rushing forward, watching his movements, as if he wanted to drag himself to the front to take a photo.
Between lightning and flint...
Under the threat of social death, Harry's brain suddenly awakened far beyond the usual wisdom.
"Kyle's behind!" he yelled.
"Could it be that Kyle who won the Order of Merlin, Second Class?" Lockhart became even more excited, and immediately looked in the direction of Harry's finger.
But there were only two middle-aged men, and an excited witch...
Harry froze.
What about Kyle... He was clearly still there just now, but why did he disappear in the blink of an eye!
"I think the child probably hid because he saw that I was too nervous."
Lockhart showed his bright teeth, "You must know that I have won the "Wizard Weekly" award for the most charming smile five times."
This reason was obviously not enough to convince Harry that although he didn't know what the "Wizard Weekly" Smile Award was, it was definitely not as good as the Order of Merlin.
And Kyle has seen a legendary wizard like Nicole May, so how could he be nervous.
"Kyle must have run away because he didn't want to be photographed!" Harry thought to himself.
He wanted to do the same, but Lockhart didn't give him the chance.
Although they didn't see Kyle, one Harry Potter was enough for them to be on the front page.
Harry was dragged forward like a puppet, and Lockhart graciously shook his hand as the photographer took his picture.
The short man frantically pressed the shutter repeatedly, and bursts of purple smoke drifted over the Weasleys.
The applause of the people around him and the sound of the camera shutter made Harry feel a little at a loss, and his face became even redder than Ron's hair.
He still can't figure out why Kyle suddenly disappeared.
