Chapter 26 Exclusive Ability: Hide and Seek

A suppressed madness, a vaguely revealed morbidity, and those scarlet eyes seemed to radiate malice at every moment.

The small, thin body swayed gently. Having lost both arms and its companion, the already weak Cry distanced itself from Han Fei.

"You? Why are you so far away from me?" Han Fei half-squatted on the ground, looking at the girl standing in the corner, a trace of sadness appearing in his eyes: "Don't you want to be friends with me? We can play all sorts of games every day, we..."

He closed the door to room 1034. The cold wind in the hallway blew on his face. Only then did Han Fei realize that he was almost unable to move. His mind and body had reached their limits.

Despite the pain, Han Fei found the key on Meng Shi and then escorted the grandmother and granddaughter back to their room.

Staring at the mission panel, Han Fei finally relaxed. Although this mission was dangerous, the rewards were quite generous.

Han Fei allocated his free skill points to acting, and his acting level is now at intermediate level three. He then allocated the attribute points he gained from leveling up to stamina.

He always felt that his physical strength was too poor and he had no sense of security at all.

"I just heard a system notification saying that the chat room function is now open. Are there other players in this underworld game?"

Opening the properties panel, Han Fei found the chat room option at the bottom of the panel. After clicking to enter, he was shocked.

This infernal game has 999 chat rooms, each with its own number, but strangely, all the chat rooms are grayed out and cannot be entered.

"I'm already level three, but why can't I enter these chat rooms? Aren't these chat rooms meant for me? Are there really other players in this game?" Han Fei looked at his ID—0000—feeling as if he were the only player in the game.

Han Fei, who knew everything, showed no emotion on his face.

He acted as if he knew nothing, silently helping the old man and Chenchen to their feet, then went to the bathroom to find a towel and gently wiped away the dirt from Chenchen's face and arms.

About half an hour later, the old woman finally regained consciousness. She slowly woke up and was extremely excited and grateful to Han Fei when she saw Chenchen beside her.

That gratitude was definitely not feigned, as evidenced by the fact that the friendliness rating increased by a full thirty points upon completion of the task.

Han Fei's gaze seemed to be reminiscing about the feeling from the past. He helped the old woman to a chair and said, "Grandma, please rest well. I'll go back now. If you need anything in the future, just come upstairs to find me. If possible, I'd like to treat you as my family."

Perhaps it was Han Fei's last words that touched the softest spot in the old man's heart, for as Han Fei prepared to leave, the old man slowly stood up.

"Han Fei, I'm not as kind as you think. I have a secret that's been tormenting me." The old woman seemed to have aged even more. She took out her key and walked towards the locked bedroom. "I know you're curious about this house. Come with me."
