My Healing Games

Chapter 630 Is it you?

Chapter 630 Is it you?
A broken clock hung on the living room wall, the time frozen at 12:01. The hands were not moving, but a ticking sound came from somewhere in the room.

Han Fei leaned against the wall. He didn't know who had turned off the bathroom light. Right now, he didn't want to figure out what was hidden inside; he just wanted to leave this unfamiliar "home" as soon as possible.

Han Fei strode to the security door in the living room, grabbed the doorknob, and before he could open the door, a very soft knock suddenly sounded!
Han Fei's brain seemed to be stimulated by something, and he withdrew his hand as if he had been electrocuted.

The knocking grew clearer, and Han Fei's heart began to race. He leaned forward slowly, and just as his face was about to touch the peephole, he suddenly realized something.

"That knocking didn't seem to be coming from outside the door?"

With his face completely pale, Han Fei turned his head and looked towards his bedroom.

As the knocking grew louder, he became certain that it was coming from the bedroom.

Han Fei's pupils twitched, and he noticed the lock on the bedroom door tremble slightly.

"The guest who knocked at 12:01 AM first knocked outside the house, the second knocked in the living room, and the third knocked in my bedroom..."

With his mind completely blank, Han Fei had no idea when the other person had entered his room; it felt as if someone had deliberately put them there.

Not daring to linger, Han Fei wanted to escape, but he also knew that there were more dangers outside, and he would face all sorts of unknown harms.

Breathing became increasingly difficult, and Han Fei finally made up his mind. He slowly turned the doorknob.

As the spring snapped, he vaguely heard a low, panting sound, the sound of which was like that of a wild beast.

His five fingers gripping the doorknob were soaked with cold sweat. Han Fei lifted the cover on the peephole and looked outside. The fat security guard he had seen that morning was standing at his door.

The security guard, who was always very enthusiastic and smiling during the day, now seemed to have changed his face. Thick veins bulged on his face, and he seemed to be holding something in his hand, waiting for Han Fei to open the door.

The chubby security guard heard the door lock rattle, but after waiting a while, the door still hadn't opened. Feeling a bit puzzled, he pressed his face against the peephole, wanting to see what was inside.

The face, covered in bulging veins, loomed large in Han Fei's view. He immediately stepped back and covered the peephole with the lid again.

"We can't go out, at least not now."

Han Fei stepped back, and the different voices entered his ears, affecting his judgment and making him even more impatient.

"He's standing at my door? Why is he waiting for me to open it without saying a word?"

The clock was broken, but the ticking sound grew clearer and clearer. Han Fei covered his blank mind, feeling unwell as waves of dizziness washed over him.

"There was a security guard standing outside the security door, and the person in the bedroom seemed about to come out. I had to find a place to hide as soon as possible."

The wardrobe and refrigerator were crammed full of things, the parents' bedroom door was locked, the kitchen was unobstructed, and the bathroom light was off, suggesting there might be something inside as well.

In less than a second, his brain processed all the known information, and Han Fei bumped into the tattered doll clothes by the door as he moved.

Two sets of amusement park mascot costumes and some dirty clothes that hadn't been washed yet were piled together. One set was torn and looked very worn; the other set, although stained, at least looked relatively intact.

"Hide inside a doll?"

Han Fei touched the doll's clothes with his fingers, but he was unsure which one to choose. Although the complete doll's clothes could cover his whole body, the stains left on them made Han Fei very uncomfortable.

This wasn't obsessive-compulsive disorder; he just felt that the stains looked like blood seeping from the inside out. Since the stains could penetrate the surface of the doll's clothes, it meant that the inside of the clothes must be very dirty.

Han Fei grabbed the ripped doll costume and quickly put it on.

A normal person would be slow to put on a mascot costume the first time, needing to figure out each part, but Han Fei was very skilled, as if he had worn it many times and his muscles had memorized the whole order.

After putting on the somewhat heavy hood, Han Fei completely concealed himself within the bulky mascot costume and lay back down in his original position.

Completely enveloped in darkness, it seemed that the sounds outside were barely audible.

In this small darkness, Han Fei could only hear his own heartbeat and breathing. He forced himself not to make any sound and tried his best to act like a corpse.

Looking out through the gap in the doll's head, everything inside seemed to have returned to normal. Everything that had just happened seemed to be just Han Fei's own hallucinations and auditory hallucinations.

Holding his breath, Han Fei remained motionless.

About half a minute later, the other mascot costume that he hadn't chosen suddenly moved!
It seems that because Han Fei hadn't put it away properly, the cartoon head that came with the doll costume rolled off the dirty clothes and hit the bathroom door frame.

The head, which should have stopped when it hit something, seemed to be grabbed by something and rolled directly into the darkness of the bathroom.

A crisp sound rang out. It was definitely not the sound of the doll's head colliding with something; it sounded more like someone had poked the doll's transparent eyeballs with their hand.

"A deathly pale hand gripped my eyeballs..."

Han Fei felt a tightness in his chest. He adjusted his gaze and looked at the headless doll costume.

The clothes appeared relatively intact on the surface, but inside there were congealed blood clots, and it seemed that some unknown poisonous insects were crawling around.

crunch...

The sound of the door being opened reached his ears. From Han Fei's angle, he couldn't see what was happening in his bedroom, so he could only rely on his hearing.

After the bedroom door was opened, it sounded like someone was moving around inside, followed by the sound of things being rummaged through. Someone was looking for him!
He walked out of his bedroom, into the kitchen, paused at the bathroom door, and finally came to the living room.

Han Fei didn't see anyone in the living room, but when the light shone on the coffee table, a figure of a Taoist appeared vaguely on the glass table.

It lingered in the center of the living room for a long time, then seemed to have noticed the doll coats piled up by the door.

Han Fei didn't see anything approaching, but the dirty clothes he was wearing slipped to the ground.

He dared not breathe, but the more nervous he became, the faster his heart beat.

The heavy doll head seemed to be grabbed, and just as that force was trying to remove the head, a strange man's voice suddenly came from outside the security door.

"Fatty Liu, what are you doing at our house in the middle of the night?"

"My sister-in-law said she was worried about Han Fei being home alone, so she asked me to stay nearby."

"Then you might as well just come inside and sit down." The stranger's voice sounded mature and steady, but it also carried a deep sense of weariness.

"Let's forget about it. Han Fei almost beat me up last time he got agitated. He doesn't trust anyone but the two of you." The fat security guard said with a wry smile, "Since you're off work, I don't need to stay here any longer. See you later."

The fat security guard's footsteps echoed as he left, and at the same time, the key was inserted into the lock. As the security door was pushed open, Han Fei also heard the sound of his bedroom door closing.

The four sounds entered his ears almost simultaneously, and Han Fei was extremely perceptive in distinguishing them. He didn't know how he had managed to do so.

"Han Fei?"

The security door was pushed open, and a somewhat old man entered the house. He seemed to be a forensic doctor from the police station, who had just come out of the autopsy room, so he carried a stench that was difficult to wash off even in a shower.

The man's hair was half-gray. After entering the house, he placed his briefcase on the wardrobe and then walked directly towards Han Fei's bedroom. It was clear that he was very worried about Han Fei.

The man walked briskly forward, pausing slightly as he passed the restroom. He casually turned on the restroom light and reached into the restroom to pull out a large doll head.

Two holes were poked into the eye sockets of the doll's large head, and the smile on the doll's face became even happier.

"Is he still awake?"

The man, carrying the doll's large head, walked towards Han Fei's bedroom. As the man went deeper into the room, Han Fei, who had been lying motionless on the ground, immediately got up. He decisively opened the security door and ran towards the stairwell wearing the tattered doll coat.

"I can't stay in the room tonight, I have to leave, or I might die in there! There's something hiding in the closet in my bedroom!"

Han Fei ran into the emergency exit. The man inside the house also heard the sound of the security door being opened, and he quickly came out to check.

"Han Fei? Han Fei!"

A man with half-gray hair chased after him. Han Fei, wearing a mascot costume, had some difficulty moving around, and the distance between them was slowly closing.

Han Fei, who had always refused to take the elevator, ran up to the sixth floor and frantically pounded on the elevator buttons.

The silver-gray elevator doors slowly opened, and Han Fei entered, immediately pressing the button for the first floor.

The stranger called out Han Fei's name and chased after him, his face full of anxiety, but he was still a step too late.

The elevator doors closed and it began to descend.

After shouting a few times in the elevator lobby, the man dragged his tired body into the stairwell and started running downstairs.

The elevator arrived at the first floor first, and Han Fei ran out before the elevator doors were fully open.

He dared not stay in the building any longer, and before the man could catch up, he left Building 4.

The buildings in the community looked like coffins standing in the darkness, and just looking at them made Han Fei feel extremely depressed.

He jumped into the green belt, dressed in a mascot costume, and lay down on the ground, letting the bushes hide him.

"I absolutely cannot go back to that house. I have to get through this night no matter what, and then get to that amusement park before eight o'clock!"

He had no related memories, but he felt it was the most important thing.

He carried his employment certificate with him at all times, as long as he could stay awake until dawn.

Han Fei tried his best to make his body fit into the soil, and he moved little by little.

"Han Fei!"

A strange man's voice rang out nearby. He seemed worried that Han Fei had left the community and immediately ran to find the security guard.

After the man left, Han Fei took off the doll's headgear and subconsciously looked around to confirm the location of the surveillance camera.

After realizing he was being filmed by surveillance cameras, he immediately moved and hid in another location.

The security guard on duty was alerted and began to help the man search, but Han Fei seemed to have a special talent for hide-and-seek, and was almost discovered several times.

The two sides were actually very close; Han Fei could even hear the security guards talking.

"That lunatic from Building 4 has come out again, watch out!"

"Isn't this just causing us trouble? Can't we just send him to a mental hospital?"

"I heard he has paranoia, thinking that everyone in the world wants to harm him, and he often does bizarre things. It is said that he has been blacklisted by the police because he keeps making false police reports."

"real or fake?"

"Of course! He doesn't even trust his own parents. He's afraid to eat anything, always thinking it's poisoned. Isn't that ridiculous?"

"Stop talking nonsense! Everyone, pay attention! Recently, some people have gone missing in the old neighborhoods near the amusement park. Let's treat this as a live-fire exercise!"

Several security guards and a middle-aged man with half-gray hair searched together, but Han Fei was better than anyone at using the darkness.

As dawn broke, Han Fei knew he could no longer hide. He climbed over the community wall, located the amusement park, and then ran there wearing his tattered mascot costume.

He had no memory of anything and knew nothing; the only clue was the employment certificate.

"You can't trust the memories others tell you; only the memories you find yourself are truly your own."

Although he had forgotten everything, Han Fei still held onto this conviction. Wearing a bulky mascot costume, he ran through the streets, hiding and dodging, and finally arrived at the amusement park around 7:00 PM.

Looking at the amusement park that hadn't officially opened yet, Han Fei clutched his pockets, unsure of what to do next.

After waiting for a long time, the park gates remained closed, but there were already people queuing at the entrance. Han Fei, dressed in a dirty and tattered mascot costume, walked forward, and all the people in line were watching him.

The stares of the crowd made Han Fei uneasy. He quickened his pace, rushed to the front of the line, leaned over the ticket window, and called out to the only two staff members.

Han Fei, who couldn't remember anything, tried hard to explain himself by taking out his employment certificate.

The staff checked the employment certificate, which was indeed in order, but Han Fei's performance was highly problematic.

Who would wear such a shabby mascot costume to work at the amusement park early in the morning?

The two staff members exchanged glances and then made a phone call to their supervisor.

Five minutes later, a man with a small mustache brought Han Fei into the amusement park. He was very enthusiastic at first, but when he asked Han Fei some questions and found that Han Fei was behaving very strangely, his expression changed.

The amusement park was about to officially open for business, and the man with the mustache didn't dare to let Han Fei start work right away. He subtly kicked Han Fei out of the amusement park and instructed the security guards to keep a close eye on Han Fei and not let him come in casually.

Holding the employment certificate that required him to be at the amusement park at eight o'clock, Han Fei sat on the steps dressed in a bulky and tattered mascot costume.

As the sun rose, more and more tourists arrived. Han Fei seemed to be afraid of such occasions. He hid himself inside the mascot costume, as if only by staying in this tattered costume could he find peace of mind.

Separated by a high fence, the other mascots were dressed in beautiful cartoon costumes, surrounded by happy children and adults who were handing out candy and small gifts; Han Fei stood alone outside the fence, afraid of the crowd, and huddled under the mascot costume.

"There's a lone doll here, and he's so ugly!"

A child's voice sounded behind him. Han Fei felt someone pat his heavy hood. Already terrified of everything, he immediately dodged to the side.

During the movement, it seemed like I bumped into the child who had said he was ugly earlier.

The child fell to the ground, and the next moment Han Fei felt himself being pushed and fell directly to the ground as well.

"Why are these amusement park mascots hitting people?!"

"Call your manager over here!"

The child's cries rang out, and his parents loudly scolded Han Fei. The doll's head was also wet, as if someone had spilled a drink on it.

Han Fei, dressed in a bulky mascot costume, backed away as the scolding grew louder. He wanted to run away, but everything around him made him feel extremely unsafe.

The heavy hood was slapped again, and Han Fei's eye was touched, causing a sharp pain.

"It was clearly your child who bumped into it, and you're trying to frame someone else?" A somewhat familiar voice rang out, "I filmed everything on my phone, don't go too far!"

Passersby also came over to persuade them, and the family finally left, still cursing.

Having grown accustomed to the pain, Han Fei opened his eyes and peered out through the gap in his hood.

A mother and a boy walked towards Han Fei from a distance. The mother gave off a very gentle feeling, but there seemed to be some sadness hidden in the depths of her eyes. The child next to her was much more mature than his peers, always acting like a little adult.

"This doll is so pitiful. It's being bullied like this and it doesn't even dare to fight back. I must work hard in the future and never become like it." The boy muttered to himself, reluctant to approach the dirty, tattered doll.

Hearing her child's words, the woman stopped and looked at her child.

"What's wrong? Did I say something wrong?" The boy looked at his mother in confusion: "Wearing tattered, weird mascot costumes, being bullied by children on the street, having drinks thrown at me, I feel so ashamed."

"Life is something that looks different as you grow up." The woman didn't directly refute her child. She squatted down in front of the child and said softly, "When I was your age, I probably also felt that this job was not respectable and that it would make you feel ashamed."

"But later, when Mom and your brother were the same age, I no longer felt ashamed of them, but only pitied them, and I helped them as much as I could."

"Later, when Mom and Dad were the same age, I felt that they were very respectable. They worked hard to earn money and make a living with their own hands. No one has the right to laugh at such people."

After the woman finished speaking very seriously, she patted the boy's head: "Do you understand, Fu Tian?"
