Chapter 486 Beautiful Trip to Turpan (Part )

"Good morning, everyone. It is 7: in the morning. I have already had breakfast and am now going to visit some scenic spots near Turpan.

As we all know, the grapes in Turpan are world-famous, and Grape Valley is the most famous.

So the first attraction I am going to visit now is Turpan’s 5A-level scenic spot - Grape Valley.

Grape Valley is a valley in Turpan, named after its abundant grapes.

The local Uyghurs call it "Buyiruk", which means "a place where there are many good grapes."

In fact, during the Southern and Northern Dynasties in my country, Turpan had already become an important grape-growing area.

According to a grape vine unearthed from the Yanghai ancient tomb, the history of grape cultivation in the area is more than 3000 years.

This shows how long the history of grape cultivation here is. Now follow my camera to take a good look at the Grape Valley. "

Because they were only staying for one day, in order to save time, Qin Yuan did not bring Erha and Bomber out this time, but left them in the hotel room. He was still very confident about the two of them.

He hailed a taxi at the entrance of the hotel and it took him dozens of minutes to successfully arrive at the Grape Valley Scenic Area, where he bought a ticket.

"Okay, the tickets have been bought. The adult ticket is 60 yuan per person, plus the round-trip sightseeing bus is 23 yuan, so it's still a good deal.

In fact, as the name Grape Valley suggests, this is a valley. Grape Valley is 7 kilometers long and about 2 kilometers wide at its widest point.

Because of its special terrain, this place is an excellent place for growing grapes.

There are a large number of vineyards in the Grape Valley, and more than 9000 Uyghur, Hui, Han and other farmers live there.

The water of the Buyiluke River (People's Canal) flows through the valley, which is lush with trees, has moist air and a cool and pleasant climate.

This is in stark contrast to the Huoyan Mountain, which is 30 kilometers away.

There are five tourist areas in Grape Valley: Grape Valley Amusement Park, Wang Luobin Music and Art Museum, Dawaizi Folk Customs Park, Awati Amusement Park, and Grape Vineyard.

At the same time, there are homestays, farmhouses and restaurants in the scenic area, so friends can also stay in the scenic area if necessary.

In my personal opinion, there are three highlights in the Grape Valley scenic area. The first one is naturally the grapes here. It is June now and the grapes are not yet ripe.

However, it is precisely because they are not ripe that we can see green grapes, which are more ornamental than ripe grapes.

The second highlight is to experience the ethnic customs and food here, and the last one is to visit the Wang Luobin Music and Art Museum.

I believe everyone has heard of Wang Luobin, the King of Western Songs. Many of our familiar songs were written by him.

Songs like "In That Faraway Place", "Half Moon Rising", "Lift Up Your Veil" and so on were all created by him.

He is a leader in our industry as a musician and a senior whom I have great respect for, so I certainly cannot miss a visit to an art museum commemorating him.

The main reason why an art memorial hall was built for him in Turpan is because he composed a song related to Turpan.

The name of this song is "The Girl from Tashkurgan", and I believe our older generation has heard it.

This is the first Uyghur folk song written in Chinese in the history of Chinese music, so it has a profound significance.”

Qin Yuan was strolling in the Grape Valley Scenic Area, taking pictures seriously with his sports camera, and then shared some information he knew.

Walking and taking photos along the way, it was noon before he knew it. In just one morning, Qin Yuan successfully completed his tour of the Grape Valley scenic area.

During this period, he used his camera to take many very beautiful photos, including photos of passers-by, photos of scenery, but more were photos of grapes.

After visiting Grape Valley, Qin Yuan had a bowl of local specialty ramen in the scenic area, and then left Grape Valley and went to another scenic area.

This scenic spot is the Flaming Mountain, which is 4 kilometers away from Grape Valley. Although the Flaming Mountain is a A-level scenic spot, it is also a famous attraction in Turpan.

The reason why this attraction is famous is naturally because of Journey to the West.

This is similar to the Flower-Fruit Mountain he visited in Haizhou, and both became popular because of the famous novel "Journey to the West".

"It is now 1: in the afternoon. I have arrived at the second stop of the day - Flame Mountain. You heard it right, it is the Flame Mountain in Journey to the West.

This place is about 30 kilometers away from the Grape Valley Scenic Area where I just visited. Although the distance is not far, the temperature difference is very huge.

Because Grape Valley is in a valley with a river flowing through it, it is quite cool and very comfortable.

But the situation here at Flaming Mountain is completely the opposite. Plus, it is exactly noon now and the temperature is already very high. The Flaming Mountain is even hotter.

The highest temperature ever recorded in Huoyan Mountain is a terrifying 47.8 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of the mountain has even reached over 80 degrees.

From this we can see that the name Flaming Mountain is well-deserved.

Huoyan Mountain, called "Kiziltag" in Uyghur, means "Red Mountain". The Tang people named it "Volcano" because of its heat.

The mountain is more than 100 kilometers long, 10 kilometers at its widest point, and about 500 meters above sea level. The main peak is 831.7 meters above sea level. The Huoyan Mountain is barren and has no grass or birds.

In midsummer, when the sun is high in the sky, the reddish-brown mountains shine brightly under the scorching sun, and the hot air flows upward.

It looks like a blazing flame with tongues of fire reaching the sky, so it is also called the Flaming Mountain.

Wu Cheng'en wrote the story of Tang Sanzang's journey to the West being blocked at the Flaming Mountain and Sun Wukong borrowing the palm-leaf fan three times into Journey to the West.

He linked the Flaming Mountain with Tang Monk, Sun Wukong, Princess Iron Fan and the Bull Demon King, making the Flaming Mountain full of magical color and becoming a unique mountain in the world.

As a result, this place has become a famous local tourist attraction. But to be honest, it is extremely dry and water-scarce, and the temperature is very high, so it is really not a good tourist destination. You can just come here to experience it.

Do you see the golden hoop in front? It is actually a thermometer. The surface temperature has reached 80 degrees.

In this temperature, I dare not fall to the ground even if I get heat stroke, because I will get burned. Okay, okay, I will probably walk around for a while. I have to leave here quickly and go to the next attraction - Thousand Buddha Caves. Thousand Buddha Caves is only 1.5 kilometers away from Huoyan Mountain, and it can be reached in ten minutes on foot. ”

Qin Yuan spent about an hour wandering around the Huoyan Mountain and had seen most of the attractions. Then he went directly to the Thousand Buddha Caves not far away.

"The full name of the Thousand Buddha Caves should be Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves. This scenic spot is located on the cliff on the west bank of the Mutougou River Valley in the middle section of Huoyan Mountain.

There are 83 caves carved in the scenic area, 57 of which are still in existence, including more than 40 with murals, with a total area of 1200 square meters.

It is the group of caves with the most caves and the richest murals among the existing caves in Turpan, and is one of the larger Buddhist cave temple sites in the Western Regions.

The Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves were first excavated in the late Northern and Southern Dynasties. They have gone through a long period of seven centuries, including the Tang, Five Dynasties, Song and Yuan dynasties, and have always been the Buddhist center of the Gaochang area.

The Gaochang Uighur (gu) period was the most prosperous period for the grottoes, and this place was once the royal temple of the Gaochang King.

The Gaochang Uighurs were a local regime in the Western Regions that existed from 866 AD to the early 13th century. They were also known as the Xizhou Uighurs and the Hezhou Uighurs.

At the end of the 13th century AD, the royal family of Gaochang moved east to Yongchang, Gansu. In addition, after Islam was introduced to Turpan, Buddhism gradually declined, and the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves declined accordingly. Later, the caves were destroyed in conflicts between pagans.

By the beginning of the 20th century, the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves were looted and destroyed by powers such as Russia, Germany, Britain and Japan, making the situation even worse and leaving it unrecognizable.

Between the 1904th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu (1913) and the 90nd year of the Republic of China (), % of the murals in Bezeklik were cut and then secretly transported out of the country.

Most of the murals are now collected in museums in other countries, such as the Museum of Indian Art in Berlin, Germany and the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia.

There are also the Tokyo National Museum in Japan, the British Museum in the UK, the National Museum in India, and even the National Museum in South Korea.

It must be said that for our Dragon Country, the tragic experience of that year was undoubtedly an extremely painful history. "

Standing in the scenic area of Thousand Buddha Caves, Qin Yuan said with a heavy heart while taking pictures that during that difficult period, countless national treasures were ruthlessly snatched away and eventually sent out of the country. This humiliation was heartbreaking.

"The Gaochang Grottoes among the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves are not as famous as the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang or the Yungang Longmen Grottoes.

But in fact, it is as famous as the Qiuci Grottoes in the Western Regions, the Central Plains Grottoes represented by the Dunhuang Grottoes, and the Ajanta Caves in India. It is one of the four representatives of Buddhist cave art in the world.

The Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves are a precious cultural heritage left over from the ancient Silk Road and a center for cultural exchanges between China and the West in ancient times.

Because of its unique regional, ethnic and diverse characteristics, it occupies an important position in the treasure house of Longguo Grottoes art.

For friends who are interested in grotto culture, I suggest you come here to take a look and then visit the Flaming Mountain.

But as I said before, Huoyan Mountain is too hot. People who can't stand the heat should not go there, or they should not come in summer, and go to another season!"

After visiting the Thousand Buddha Caves until about 5 o'clock in the afternoon, Qin Yuan took a taxi directly back to the city, intending to have a meal in the city before continuing to his last destination of the day - Jiaohe Ancient City.

Because it doesn't get dark until after 9 o'clock in the evening in the Western Region, he still has more than 4 hours of activities. Since he has come to Turpan, he might as well visit the famous scenic spots here!
Although this kind of special forces-style travel is quite tiring, as the saying goes, since you are here, it would be a pity if you don’t go and take a look.

With this thought in mind, Qin Yuan first returned to the hotel, took a shower, and then went to a nearby restaurant for dinner.

After eating, he took a taxi to Jiaohe Ancient City. Then he walked into Jiaohe Ancient City while taking pictures with his sports camera.

"Good evening, everyone. Although it is still bright outside, it is actually already 7pm. I just had dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Now we have arrived at the last attraction we are going to visit today, which is the Jiaohe Ancient City, 10 kilometers away from the city.

Jiaohe Ancient City is the largest, oldest and best-preserved earthen city in the world. It is also the most complete urban relic in my country that has been preserved for more than 2,000 years. The Anxi Protectorate, the highest military and political institution in the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty, was first located in Jiaohe Ancient City.

The ancient city was called Jiaohe because it was located on an island-shaped platform and the river water branched around the city. It was originally the capital of the "Cheshi Former Kingdom", one of the 36 countries in the Western Regions.

The Jiaohe site is about 1650 meters long, narrow at both ends and about 300 meters wide at the widest point in the middle, forming a willow-leaf-shaped peninsula.

This is the capital of the Cheshi Kingdom, one of the thirty-six city-states in the ancient Western Regions, and the country's political, economic, military and cultural center.

After thousands of years of vicissitudes, the main structure of the architectural layout of Jiaohe Ancient City has been miraculously preserved.

All of this is due to Turpan's unique dry and rainy climate.

The scale of Jiaohe Ancient City is roughly that of Tang Dynasty buildings, and the buildings are mainly concentrated within a range of about 1000 meters in the southeast.

The ancient city is surrounded by cliffs on all sides, and three city gates were built on the steep cliffs on the east, west and south sides. It can be said that it is easy to defend but difficult to attack.

Clay Buddhas can still be found in the city’s markets, government offices, Buddhist temples, pagodas, streets and alleys, as well as in workshops, houses, parade grounds, military trenches, and in temple niches.”

Qin Yuan strolled in the ancient city of Jiaohe. The scenic area was very large and there were not many tourists at this time, so he was quite leisurely.

He looked at the ruins of the ancient city that had gone through thousands of years of baptism, and his heart was filled with emotion. He had seen many ancient cities along the way, but the best preserved one was undoubtedly the Jiaohe ancient city in front of him.

"It is said on the Internet that Jiaohe Ancient City is the most well-preserved adobe city in my country, and I was skeptical at first.

But now that I have come here, I feel that there is nothing wrong with saying this, the ruins here are indeed very complete.”

Walking and taking pictures, Qin Yuan finally finished touring the entire ancient city after spending nearly two hours. The scenic area is very large, and it is obviously impossible to take pictures of everything, so he just took some general pictures of the key points.

After the shooting was completed, it was already 9: in the evening and it was starting to get dark.

So, Qin Yuan did not stay outside for long, but went straight back to the hotel room. After wandering around outside all day, even he felt a little tired.

So after returning to the room, he was too lazy to edit the video. Anyway, he had already updated it yesterday, so it didn’t matter if he didn’t update it today.

So he just took a bath in the bathtub to relax himself.

At this moment, Li Wanru suddenly called.
