Chapter 216 Pain
Song Yu knew something in his mind: "Where did you eat this cold meal?"

The child pointed into the darkness: "There, I ran out secretly today, and I saw a little doll here. Can I have a look?"

There were no lights on where he pointed, it was all pitch black, and the shadows of the trees could be vaguely seen. I wonder if there was a terrifying palace hidden inside.

And the little doll he was talking about was a useless puppet hanging under the eaves.

Song Yu wanted to ask a few more questions, but the child suddenly covered his stomach, his facial features were entangled in pain, and he vomited.

"You ate too fast. Wait, I'll give it to you..." Su Mian was about to pour him a glass of water, but suddenly stopped.

A stream of dark red blood gushed out of the child's mouth, and there was even some minced meat in it.

Cold sweat broke out on his painful forehead, and he began to vomit nonstop. Every mouthful he vomited was filled with blood and some pieces of meat.

It's like vomiting out all the internal organs.

Taoist Zihua looked at Song Yu fiercely: "What... what's wrong with this? What the hell?"

Song Yu took out the talisman and used it, but the child was a living person and the talisman was of no use to him.

The child was still vomiting, and his face turned from pale to a dead white color with gray. Blood and flesh gushed out of his mouth, and flowed all over the ground.

The spit out meat was bright red, but also cold, and it was impossible to tell whether it was a living person or a dead person.

As Song Yu and the other three watched helplessly, they all felt a rush of cold air, their scalps were numb, and because they were helpless, their hearts felt cold.

This is just a child of five or six years old.

It's a disease, but it doesn't look like a disease. There's an evil atmosphere inside and out. It's like a spiritual thing, but it doesn't look like it.

The ground was covered with scarlet blood and bright red flesh.

The child lay on the ground, raised his head with difficulty, and stretched out his hand, hoping that someone could pull him and save him.

However, before Song Yu could devour him, he died.

Under the dim light, the light in his eyes dissipated, and he went out one breath after another, only going out, not in.

His face turned blue-white, and his body only had the last bit of reaction left.

Shaking like a convulsion.

His hands and feet kept trembling, his eyelids rolled up, and finally there was no movement at all.

A child who was alive and kicking just a moment ago was gone in the blink of an eye, just like the light of fire falling into the water.

Su Mian turned his head and opened his mouth half-open, not knowing what to say or even where to look.

He had never seen such a painful death, not even for a child.

Taoist Master Zihua was stunned.

The first one to come to his senses was Song Yu.

Song Yu untied the rope from Taoist Zihua: "You two buried the person here. I'll go over there and take a look."

The side she was talking about was where the child had pointed before.

Su Mian was a little worried, feeling that every place in the palace revealed an evil atmosphere: "Are you alone?"

Song Yu patted his chest: "Now I'm the only one who can eat people. Let's go."

After she finished speaking, she opened the door and went out, took off a lantern on a stool, and carried it danglingly into the darkness.

That place wasn't on the drawings either. Maybe even Zhong Liqing didn't know there was such a secret place in the palace.

But the further you go, the more unusual you feel.

It was as if a rift had opened again between Yin and Yang.

It's just that this crack is so small that it only infects the place where the Taoist Master is and does not expose it to other places.

The night was a bit too dull and dark, and Song Yu's lamp continued to shrink in the darkness.

"bamboo forest?"

She picked off a bamboo leaf and didn't pay much attention to it. She even put it in her mouth, but she stopped again before taking two steps.

This bamboo is not a serious bamboo either.

The yin energy is very heavy.

The night was too dark, and Song Yu couldn't see clearly, so he simply lay down on the ground and used his hands to peel away part of the mud, revealing some bamboo roots.

The root is gray-black, and when you dig in, a small piece of bone comes out.

It was a human finger, with only white bones left.

Song Yu once heard that bamboo is yin in nature and can easily attract ghosts. People who pass under the bamboo forest will feel a sense of coldness, so some people use bamboo to raise ghosts.

The method is also very simple. First plant a bamboo on the corpse, and the bamboo will use the corpse as nutrients to become a ghost bamboo.

The roots of the ghost bamboo will carry the torn bones to sprout in the next spring, and then plant the bones under the new bamboo.

Repeat this again and again, until the entire bamboo forest is formed, it will become an excellent place for gathering yin, which can be used to raise ghosts.

Some people call this practice "planting Yin bamboo", while others directly call it "planting corpse".

Song Yu left the bone and stood up holding the lantern. He thought to himself that in this palace, yin flourishes and yang declines. Except for women and eunuchs, why are you still planting yin bamboos here?

She did not go further inside, but followed the path divided by the bamboo and looked to the left.

After taking only two steps, she tripped on something hard and fell to the ground on her face.

She grimaced as she fell, but did not dare to make a sound. She cried silently on the ground for a while before looking at the thing that tripped her.

It is a small collapsed stone statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Looking around, there were more than just this one. Just because this place was overgrown with weeds, and most of the Maitreya Buddha stone statues collapsed in the withered grass, Song Yu didn't pay attention.

All the stone statues were counted, and there were nine in total.

There are also rotten flowers and fruits on the ground. It seems that someone has made offerings here.

This Maitreya Buddha is no different from the one carved in the temple. Small Maitreya Buddhas like this are often placed in the grass of Daxiangguo Temple.

They are all clay statues, but the atmosphere of fireworks in the temple is strong, people come and go, and there are often monks cleaning and reciting Buddha. Withstanding the sun, it can be said to be bright and aboveboard.

But the Buddha statue in the dark place is where the ghosts of injustice and resentment reside.

Even the huge Buddha statue in the Suzhou Grottoes looks like a ghost from the maze.

Enshrining the wild ghosts in the spirit world, it is difficult for one house to be peaceful, let alone nine.

If Dao Zang is here, he may not agree with Song Yu's view.

As long as you meditate sincerely, no matter where the Buddha statue is, it can carry all good thoughts.

In the past, there was an Arhat who deceived the demon king Bo Xun into taking the form of a Buddha, and then bowed to him and recited the words to take refuge in the Buddha. As a result, the demon king was defeated.

Even if other evil spirits possess the eyes of unconsecrated Buddha statues, if you sincerely worship the Buddha, can they be more powerful than the devil Bo Xun?
There is a saying in the Buddhist scriptures: "I hope that all sentient beings will rely on your father to destroy the demon army and its dependents, and know that everything is perfect. The World Honored One will come here with his family."

Whether the person in the Buddha statue is a Buddha or a demon does not matter the spiritual being, it actually depends on the human heart.

Song Yu didn't understand scriptures and had no interest in Buddhist scriptures. She had a little light in her heart and pointed to the right place.

After swallowing up the spiritual objects in the stone statue, the Yin Qi here instantly dissipated a lot, and even the darkness seemed to fade away.

Song Yu walked around the stone statue and continued to the left.
