Chapter 111 The Ordinary Family

Charlie stopped, and the first thing that came to his mind was safety.

"It's one of our own, and there's a rabbit head logo on the car." Taylor suddenly said.

Only then did Charlie notice that in the vast darkness, there was a rabbit head logo printed on the car door.

This is basically a vehicle under the PB company.

At this time, the other party was also sure that it was Charlie Rossi and quickly got out of the car.

"Sir, I didn't expect to meet you here..." He stepped forward and held Charlie's hand with both hands.

"I am an external relations staff member of the shooting department. I have been working in PB for five years. My name is Mycroft, and my home is right in front." He was wearing a cap and a casual t-shirt with the Chicago Bulls logo on it. shirt, with a beard on his face, and he looks much older than Charlie Rossi.

"You look like you need help." He looked at the Ducati motorcycle behind Charlie.

"Yes, can you drive us to the gas station ahead?" Charlie Rossi said.

"Of course, sir. It's my honor." Mycroft said immediately.

Then he and Charlie lifted the motorcycle onto the rear trailer.

Charlie originally wanted to sit in the front row, but Taylor insisted on pulling him to sit in the back row, so he had no choice but to do so.

"This car is a company car. My car just broke down, so I drove the company car back today," Mycroft explained.

"Are you here to find someone?" he then asked.

"Actually, I just came out and walked around casually." Charlie explained.

"Then you have come to the right place. There is a barbecue festival here tomorrow."

"Oh, that sounds good," Taylor immediately cheered. She loves barbecue.

“It’s an annual tradition in the Grange community.”

"Okay, then go to the gas station to refuel the car, and then take us to the hotel."

"This may not be a good idea. There are a lot of cockroaches in the hotel!" Mycroft responded.

"Cockroach? No." Taylor's face turned pale, as if it brought back some bad memories.

"Otherwise, why don't you two stay at my house tonight? My wife also wants to see you. She will be crazy about it," Mycroft said.

"Who is your boss?"

"Bob, Bob weighs nearly three hundred pounds."

"What about the monthly salary?"

"Excluding the year-end bonus, it's about $4600 per month."

"OK, let's go." Charlie adjusted his sitting posture to make himself more comfortable.

While refueling, Charlie asked Taylor to go to the convenience store to buy red wine and drinks. The red wine he bought was the most expensive in the store. If you take the liberty of visiting, you must bring something with you.

It is a customary etiquette for Westerners to bring their own wine when visiting a friend's house.

Mycroft's home is just on the roadside. It is a two-story building with an independent garage and a small yard. The lawn in the yard is neatly trimmed and clean.

Mycroft opened the door and shouted inside: "Mary, take the children out quickly and see who is here!"

Then I saw a middle-aged woman walking out holding a little girl and holding a baby in her arms.

When he saw Charlie, he quickly approached with a surprised expression on his face.

Only then did Charlie notice that there was something wrong with Mycroft's wife's left leg when she walked, and she was wearing a metal brace on her knee.

"Charlie Rossi, I can't believe you are actually here!" She looked in disbelief, covered her mouth with her hands, and was about to cry.

"It's true, ma'am." Charlie took the initiative to hug her.

Then the two of them were invited into the house by the couple. Mycroft briefly explained his purpose. His wife immediately went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Not long after, Mycroft also entered the kitchen to help. Charlie looked at Taylor who was sitting on the sofa next to him. He was squeezing the little girl's face, and after thinking about it, he decided to forget it.

About half an hour later, a sumptuous dinner with simple and cheap ingredients was put on the table.

"Thank you. If you hadn't come here, Mycroft might have been unemployed." The middle-aged woman said while raising her glass.

"The efficiency of the department was not good last year. I heard that Mr. Ossenzweig was going to abolish the entire department. After you arrived, this matter came to an end. My wife has some health problems and cannot do many jobs. Now there are still With two children, I really don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have this job. The bank would repossess our house and the children would have to move to a worse kindergarten... Anyway, thank you, Mr. Rossi." Mycroft explained at this time stand up.

"This is what I should do." Charlie nodded.

In the past, Charlie only had a general concept in his mind about the employees' family livelihood.Only now do I realize that Mycroft's job is not a high-level position, the salary is mid-to-lower, and it is not convenient for his wife to move around.I think it will be quite stressful.

After returning, Charlie planned to ask Artis to arrange a customer service job for Mycroft's wife that did not require much activity, provided that she did not have to take care of the children.

As for Taylor, she obviously didn't have such deep feelings. After all, she had lived a similar life before. After finishing the meal, he felt his full belly and chatted with Mycroft's wife.

"You came out to play with Charlie?" the middle-aged woman asked insinuatingly.

Taylor didn't realize the reason why the other party asked, so he said logically: "That's right."

I'm still wondering in my heart, why are I here if we didn't go out to play together?baffling.

Mycroft and Charlie were sitting in the corridor outside the house, watching the quiet neighborhood and chatting.

"There were continuous car robberies here some time ago, and the Chicago police sent many people over." Mycroft explained, which was also the reason why Charlie couldn't stop the car.

In a blink of an eye, it was time to go to bed. After Charlie's repeated refusal, the couple vacated the master bedroom and moved into their daughter's room.

In the room, Taylor sat there with one leg bent on the bed, listening to the sound of water running from the bathroom in the house.

"Remember to turn off the lights when you go out and close the door. Thank you." Taylor shouted.

She originally decided to wait for Charlie to come out and go in to take a shower, but she was so tired today that she fell asleep within a few minutes.

Charlie walked out of the room and sighed helplessly when he saw Taylor lying on his side sleeping on the bed with his clothes still on.

At dawn the next day, Taylor opened his eyes in a daze, feeling sore all over his body. He looked around and found himself lying on the sofa in the bedroom downstairs.

"He's so ungentlemanly." Taylor turned over angrily and buried his face.

After a while, she heard the sound of Charlie coming downstairs. His pace was very fast, which was nothing like Mycroft.

I could only hear him rustlingly eating breakfast, making phone calls, and asking about the situation of a company.

Then I only heard Charlie asking: "If you don't get up, you won't be able to catch the barbecue festival!"

So Taylor could only get up, scratch his head, making his already messy hair even messier, and then hit him with a stinking hat.

"Besides, we have to get to Orhei Airport before seven o'clock in the evening."

"Who's coming?" Taylor turned around and asked.

"Faith Hill."
