Let me explain the origins of this book.

After the Chinese New Year holiday, work was relatively relaxed. One night, I used my old computer to revise a report, and afterwards, I inexplicably opened a folder called "Starting Point".

In a folder categorized as "New Book Starts," I flipped through three book starts I'd kept from almost ten years ago, and suddenly an idea popped into my head: maybe I could find the time to finish writing them.

About a month later, I still couldn't shake the thought.

Okay, I opened the long-lost author section, and since I hate changing the beginning, I left it as is, word for word.

So it's an extremely clichéd opening, and it didn't even get to ride the wave of the recent popular themes like "the way of survival" and "marrying a wife." The first few chapters are also long and have a lot of typos. It's all the fault of time.

From the very beginning, I was determined to finish writing the novel I wanted to write, regardless of the results, in order to make up for any shortcomings in my character.

Because I always felt guilty and wanted to avoid contacting my old readers, I didn't post any notices in my old books. Qingcheng, which was completed more than ten years ago, still has several times more collections than my new books.

Thanks to all my new and old readers, the book has finally made it to the bookstore after many ups and downs.

So far I only have a little over 10,000 items in my collection. I've been away for too long and my skills have gotten a bit rusty.

However, including the pseudonyms, the subscription-to-order ratio of all five books we released was less than 10 to 1, and some were even 5 to 1.

Hopefully, this book won't be an exception, and I'll try my best to make the subscription numbers look better.

As I write this, I'm actually a little nervous, a feeling somewhat similar to when my first book was published more than a decade ago.

Back to updates, after it's published, I guarantee at least two updates of 6,000 words per day.

I need at least 10,000 words tomorrow. I'm the kind of person who slacks off when I have a draft, so I'll have to write from scratch tomorrow.
