The Pacifist Necromancer of Hogwarts
Chapter 330 Preparation before bed
Chapter 330 Preparation before bed
"Here, it should give you a good night's sleep tonight." Madam Pomfrey handed Tracy a large cup of potion. "Luckily I have a lot of potions for fifth years who are taking OWLs. To prevent you from falling asleep on the way, I suggest you just find a bed here - your pajamas are over there."
Tracy took the cup and stared at the liquid inside. "How long will it keep me asleep?"
"Depends on how much sleep you need." Madam Pomfrey glanced at Tracy as she directed the curtains to fall. "I'd say eleven to fifteen hours."
Tracy hesitated for a moment and gently placed the cup on the cabinet next to her.
"I have classes tomorrow morning." She gave Madam Pomfrey a sheepish smile. "Do you have a less potent potion, Madam Pomfrey?"
"No." Madam Pomfrey said sternly, "You, Miss Davis, need plenty of sleep."
Anthony interrupted and asked, "What class is tomorrow morning?"
"Defense Against the Dark Arts and Transfiguration."
"I'm sure Professor Lockhart and Professor McGonagall will understand."
"No," Tracy said stubbornly, "I have to go to class."
Madam Pomfrey said sternly, "If you had come to me at the beginning, you might not have missed them."
Tracy wanted to say more, but was interrupted by Madam Pomfrey: "I have never heard of a class in the third year that is important enough to attend. Go change your clothes, Miss Davis, and take your medicine."
"But I'm fine!" Tracy said. "I don't need to dream for fifteen hours - two or three hours is enough for me! I don't need a potion like this! I've been like this for a long time -" Her voice suddenly trembled violently, and she seemed to be about to collapse, but she took a deep breath and regained her tone. "I've been like this for a long time, and I know I'm fine."
"And that's why you're a patient," Madam Pomfrey said firmly. "Don't yell at me."
Tracy bowed her head.
"Impressive, but no," Anthony said, too. "Don't worry about your classes, Miss Davis. Missing a class or two is no big deal - I'd say the same if you had Muggle Studies tomorrow. Or do you have any other concerns?"
Tracy looked at Madam Pomfrey, then at Anthony, and finally at Madam Pomfrey again, and finally gave up with a slightly impatient sigh.
"All right, all right," she said a little wearily. "I'm so sorry to trouble you, Madam Pomfrey."
Madam Pomfrey said sternly and impatiently, "Don't say stupid things. You are causing trouble for yourself." With the movement of her wand, a bowl of oatmeal porridge floated out of the compartment and landed next to the potion with a click. Her tone softened, "If you are hungry, you can eat something before drinking the potion, and then go to rest quickly. Thank you for sending her here, Professor Anthony."
Anthony smiled and said, "Why do I seem to often encounter students who need to be sent to the school hospital? Thank you for taking care of them, too."
Madam Pomfrey also smiled: "This is my job. By the way, I think you need to go back and rest, Professor Anthony."
"Yes, Madam Pomfrey," Anthony said obediently. "Goodbye."
"Goodbye."
Anthony looked down at Tracy, who was still sitting in her chair with her oatmeal, unwilling to change into her pajamas and take her medicine, and squatted down. "I will tell Professor Lockhart and Professor McGonagall that you are not feeling well and will miss the morning class. I am sure they will have no objection to it, and will be happy to give you a copy of the class notes to help you catch up on the class you missed." Although Lockhart's class notes might be his book.
Tracy nodded. "Thank you, Professor Anthony." She still looked a little frustrated and irritated.
"I know it's frustrating to have your schedule disrupted, Ms. Davis. I'm sorry."
Tracy finally smiled a little and shook her head.
"Okay, I won't bother you anymore." Anthony stood up, "Try to get some sleep."
……
The corridor outside the school hospital was extremely quiet. Light shone through the window behind him, vaguely outlining the uneven edges of the floor tiles. Anthony hesitated at the door, but decided to wander around the castle for a while. Maybe he could run into other students who were out at night.
He passed his own door and Lockhart's, and went upstairs, pausing for a moment before a cluster of clattering suits of armor on the third floor, wondering if any students might duck in when trying to avoid the professors on watch. He passed quickly by Umbridge's office—the light was still on in it, for some reason—and spent some time in a room filled with medals, trophies, statues, and the like.
He found many familiar names there: Filius Flitwick, champion of the 33rd British Wizard Duel Tournament, champion of the 34th British Wizard Duel Tournament, champion of the 35th British Wizard Duel Tournament, and lifetime honor award of the 36th Duel Tournament; Minerva McGonagall, winner of the "Today's Transfiguration" Most Promising Newcomer Award; Pomona Sprout, first prize in the "Grass Identification Master" competition... Judging from the long row of medals with tangled herbs engraved on the edges in the crystal cabinet, this was probably a formal competition with a long history.
As he passed the hunchbacked one-eyed witch statue, Anthony considered whether he should just go to Honeydukes' cellar - not only to kill time, but also to see if they had any new products - but he finally gave up the idea and walked downstairs to the kitchen instead.
…Even late at night, the kitchen at Hogwarts was still brightly lit.
Several house elves were gathered together, supervising the kneading of their own dough in the basin, while directing a team of carrots to jump into the sink in a circle to wash off the dirt and dust on them. Further away, several elves were checking eggs. The oven was whirring, and the whole kitchen was filled with the warm smell of butter. Anthony saw Coco pouring orange pumpkin juice into a row of crystal clear pots.
"Professor Anthony!" said a little elf he didn't know happily. "Does Professor Anthony want anything?"
Anthony smiled at him. "Well, maybe I can find some snacks here..."
"Of course you can!" the elf said enthusiastically. "What would you like to eat?"
Anthony thought for a moment and said, "Are there any desserts?"
"Of course, of course! Chocolate? Cake? Cookies? Donuts? Ice cream? Creme brulee? Apple pie? Would you like some more tea?"
Another elf held up a large box of bulging bread and asked, "Do you want some bread, Professor Anthony? It's just been baked!"
"Pumpkin pie?" the elf with several plates of golden and tempting pumpkin pies floating on the ground also asked eagerly.
"Grilled sausages?" Puffy sausages with crispy skin.
"French fries?" The fries were steaming with a slightly burnt end and sprinkled with crystal salt.
Anthony said, "Uh..."
"Almond cake, Professor Anthony!" Coco cried. "We have great almond cake today!"
"Great, almond cake then," Anthony said, "I'll eat it in my office." He was still not used to eating under the gaze of a group of elves.
Coco said, "Coco will deliver it to Professor Anthony's office. Professor Anthony won't have to carry it all the way back."
As soon as he finished speaking, he disappeared with a snap, leaving Anthony no time to refuse.
Anthony paused and said to the elves who were staring at him, "Thank you." The elves immediately became happy and bowed reluctantly as they sent him out of the kitchen.
……
The chicken was staring at the creature in front of him. He snapped his fingers, and the lights in the room came on, illuminating the object in his hand. The object smelled good, especially the white flakes sprinkled on it - the chicken felt very curious and wanted to take a bite.
So it flew to the table, tilted its head and looked at the things in front of it. Then the plate was taken away. The chicken looked at the plate placed on the pile of books and flew over again. The next moment, it found that the plate disappeared in front of it and returned to the middle of the table.
The chicken flew down, irritated and stubborn, slammed its claws down on the plate, and lowered its head - then a thin hand grasped its legs and expertly lifted it upside down.
"No," said the creature.
The chicken flapped its wings angrily and stretched its neck to peck at the other hand, but the other hand held it firmly and firmly, not letting go. The other hand carried the chicken and walked around the room, but in the end, it seemed that he still hadn't decided where to put it.
"If Coco puts you down, will you stop being angry?" the creature asked in a shrill, thin voice. "Coco shouldn't make pets unhappy. But you're a chicken - bad Coco, Coco shouldn't try to make excuses!"
With the chicken still in his hand, he noticed that the other party began to pull his ears in distress, not caring at all that the evil chicken was being shaken even more violently.
The cat came out of the bedroom and stared at the scene in front of him.
The chicken tried to disappear, but found that he couldn't. The cat swung its tail, stretched, and pounced, waking the other from his chagrined self-reproach. The creature stumbled back, bumping into the cat climbing frame and nearly sitting on the lowest platform. As its grip relaxed, the chicken let itself dissolve into the air, then reappeared above the other's head, flapping its wings and attacking bravely. The cat also enthusiastically joined the melee, knocking over chairs and knocking down shelves along the way, trying to drive the two guys away from their cat climbing frame.
The mouse was awakened by them and crawled out of the bedroom to see what was going on.
"Oh, please don't be angry!" the creature screamed, and magically straightened all the furniture. "Don't be angry! Coco will give you wheat and rice! Coco can comb your hair!"
Just then, the door opened.
“Wow,” Anthony said.
