Mecha: Return of the Pioneers

Chapter 824: Cruze Returns!

Chapter 824: Cruze Returns! (1/3)

The moment he stepped into the house, Dilanda immediately felt the passage of time.

It seems as if what happened not long ago happened in the distant past.

But Durandal knew that this was just his illusion.

Because it was something that had just happened, and I remembered it and deeply realized it, and it was something that had to be dealt with as soon as possible.

"Click!"

Just then, the sound of the door opening was heard, and a thin, handsome figure cautiously poked his head out from the stairwell.

As soon as he saw Durandal standing at the door, he shouted with surprise.

"Jill! You're back! Where have you been? I didn't see you when I came back with Lao a week ago!"

The cheerful expression made Durandal feel relieved. He raised his head habitually and touched the other person's little head.

"Lei. Sorry! I'm on a business trip. There's a research meeting that I have to attend!"

When facing Lei Za Barel, the man he raised, Durandal did not tell the truth, but made up an excuse he had used during previous business trips.

The simple-minded Lei did not doubt it, but nodded seriously.

"Thank you for your hard work, Jill. Oh, by the way! I brought Jill some souvenirs at the Carpentaria base!"

Remembering that he had brought a souvenir for Durandal, Lei turned around and ran back to his room, handing a large square box wrapped in gift wrapping paper to Durandal.

"Jill, this is a souvenir for you! Well, Lao said you would like it."

"Lao? Did you go pick out gifts with Cruze?"

There was a flash of light in Durandal's eyes, and then he understood something and touched Lei's little head again.

"Yeah! Yes. Earth is fun! There are so many beautiful sights! Also, the sky is so high! Even higher than the sky in April City! But, it's a little hot."

Lei narrowed his eyes happily, gestured with his hands, and then spoke happily.

"But I really like the scenery of the earth! I can see something different every moment. The wind! The clouds! The trees, and the sea! The endless sea is like a sapphire!"

"Really? It seems like it was the right decision to ask you to go to Carpentaria!"

Durandal's face was all smiles, and he uttered sounds of admiration based on Lei's description.

Then, Durandal said apologetically.

"Sorry, Lei, I'm a little tired! I'll talk to you about things on Earth when we have dinner tonight, okay?"

Lei suddenly felt embarrassed.

"Oh! Sorry! Jill, I forgot you just got back from a business trip!"

"No, it's okay! See you later!"

After letting Lei go play by himself, Durandal returned to his room. Then, he turned around and locked the door, threw everything aside, leaving only the box that Lei gave him.

"Did Cruze help you choose the gift?"

Durandal quickly tore open the wrapping paper and found that there was a chessboard inside.

Looking at the neatly stacked black and white chess pieces and the black and white squares on the chessboard, Durandal slowly raised his head, as if he saw the man sitting in front of him.

"Haha. Do you like it? Lei said he would bring you a gift, so I helped him choose this gift."

The phantom named Lao Lu Cruze is so illusory, yet so real.

It was so real that Durandal guessed his next move.

"Let's play a round!"

Durandal took out the chessboard and chess pieces and silently started the chess game.

Even if there is no one sitting in front of him, he can know every move that the other party will make.

As the artificial sun outside the window gradually dimmed, Durandal made his final move.

Then, there was a sound of something opening from under the chessboard.

A hidden square popped up on the edge of the chessboard on the white flag side, revealing a CD lying inside.

Looking at the CD, Durandal sighed secretly.

"Kruser, you think too highly of me."

Cruze's laughter seemed to be heard in the void.

"This is more interesting, isn't it?"

Meanwhile, Kruse stood in front of Patrick Sala.

"Thank you for your hard work, Captain Cruze."

"No! It's my honor. But it's a pity that I couldn't participate in the battle in Alaska."

"Pity?"

Patrick Sala raised his eyes and looked at Cruze calmly.

"Is it really a pity? It was just a trap!"

"Yes, Mr. Speaker. It was a trap."

"Forget it! Let's not talk about this! Now that you're back, I'll hand over that machine to you as well."

Cruze raised his head and looked at the picture displayed on the screen on the wall.

It was a strange and mysterious aircraft.

But Cruze knew that this was a new machine equipped with an anti-neutron jammer that could ensure the operation of the nuclear reactor.

"The Providence Gundam. L.R. Cruze. This is your new machine."

Patrick Sala stood up, walked to Cruze, and patted his shoulder.

"We are looking forward to your performance! This Gundam God's Will represents the wishes of all the citizens of PLANT to defeat the enemy! So, Captain Cruze, I hope you can make this wish come true!"

"Yes! Mr. Speaker! I will do my best to fulfill this wish."

"Well! Go! Go get your machine, get familiar with it, master it, and then defeat the incoming enemies!"

"Yes!"

Cruze stepped out of the room and heard the sound of the door closing, isolating the man behind him. The moment he did so, his brows hidden by the mask slowly frowned.

Patrick Sala's determination to fight against the Earth Union and even destroy it is extremely firm.

Even more determined than before he went to Carpentaria.

But why couldn't he feel the madness of revenge in Patrick Sala's heart?
"Chairman Sarah, what exactly changed you?"

Thinking of the upcoming wedding, Cruze couldn't help but wonder, could a man who was trapped in a vortex of revenge and deep in madness wake up just because of his son's wedding?

"How can this be?"

But Patrick Sala's clear and determined eyes cannot be faked.

"For what exactly?"

While thinking, Cruze's mind shook and he looked to the other side of the road as if he had sensed something.

A man with long golden hair, handsome appearance and elegant manners, surrounded by a team of guards, walked up to Cruze.

"Hmm? Are you the famous Captain L. Luke Cruze?"

"Thank you! I'm L.R. Cruze. May I ask who you are, Excellency?"

The man smiled slightly and spoke elegantly and appropriately.

"Embrio. Please call me Embrio. Captain Cruze!"
