Chapter 1421 All hope is lost

Chapter 1421 All hope is lost
Unable to resolve the cosmic catastrophe zone and realizing that the path ahead was blocked, the Tianneng Grand Expeditionary Organization, led by the Tianquan Civilization, the Nier Civilization, and three special life forms, had no choice but to change course.

After discovering through their Eye of Observation that the path ahead was blocked by a cosmic catastrophe, the Kobolds and the Nair believed that the human civilization, which had set out 2.45 million years earlier than them, had probably also turned back, because the road ahead was blocked.

In fact, other civilizations within the Tiannai Great Voyage Organization had different views. They believed that human civilization might have been swallowed up and destroyed by the cosmic catastrophe zone, but the kobolds did not believe this at all. How could such a great human civilization perish!
The Tiannai Great Voyage Organization has left; they were lucky to have arrived too late. If they had only discovered this after reaching the second-type Breaker's living area or entering the Great Void, their chances of survival would have been extremely slim.

Compared to the luck of the kobolds, the Nair, and the Adli, the second type of boundary breakers were not so fortunate.

However, the first to suffer were not the second-class boundary breakers who clashed with the three major long-distance travel organizations, Blue Ocean, Abyss, and Galaxy, but another star field near their region.

Of course, for the second type of boundary breakers living in the Stargate Network region, they were unaware that a catastrophe was right next to them before they encountered the cosmic catastrophe zone.

That being said, even if they knew, there was nothing they could do.

So when they learned that the disaster zone had spread to the residential areas, they panicked; they realized they couldn't escape.

As a result, the once invincible group of second-class boundary breakers collapsed.

This story begins from the moment the cataclysmic zone spread to the stargate network-covered galaxy. A lackey civilization on routine patrol in that galaxy discovered that the outer regions of the galaxy seemed unfamiliar.

After some investigation, they discovered that it was the legendary cosmic catastrophe, which had already spread to this area.

This discovery made the puppet civilization realize that the path of the boundary breakers was a dead end. Therefore, this puppet civilization took decisive action. They first reported to the second type of boundary breakers under the pretext of preventing other large-scale maritime organizations from passing through the area, and began to race against time to build warships.

However, while they nominally build warships, they actually only build the outer shells; the internal configuration is that of a transport ship.

Clearly, after the great war with the three major maritime organizations, this traitorous civilization is no longer as loyal to the second-type boundary breakers. Now, having discovered the spread of the cataclysmic zone, it has finally decided to take a desperate gamble and flee.

Unfortunately, they were eventually discovered by the second type of boundary breakers. They were destroyed by the second type of boundary breakers as traitors, but the second type of boundary breakers also discovered the catastrophe zone because of this.

Now, the boundary breakers were truly panicked.

Using the detection technology of their subordinate civilization, they were horrified to discover that this cataclysmic zone could not only decompose all visible matter into unknown forms, but even the dark matter they depended on for survival was undergoing some unknown phase transition.

This discovery was truly earth-shattering, causing widespread panic among the boundary breakers throughout the Stargate Network region. Fortunately, compared to boundary breakers in other places, they had more time, as they could use the Stargate to traverse dozens of star systems.

But as time went on, they became more and more desperate.

"Your Majesty, please say something! If you don't come up with a solution soon, we really won't be able to control those technologically advanced civilizations!"

In a dense dark matter region of a peripheral galaxy within the Stargate Network, ancient boundary breakers gathered, their expressions revealing their deep anxiety. A cosmic catastrophe had already destroyed most of the area containing the Stargate Network, and it was estimated that in another ten million years, even this most distant galaxy would suffer, and everyone would perish.

The Breakers were truly anxious about the feeling of knowing they were going to die but having no choice but to wait for it.

"What can I do? Either we can break through our life form and reach a point where we can survive without relying on dark matter, or we can only ask those technological civilizations to help us build a super-large spaceship, fill it with dark matter, and then we can leave on that spaceship."

"This"

The words of the Great Leader of the Realm Breakers silenced all the ancient Realm Breakers present. If it were possible to break through, wouldn't they have already done so? As for the second method, it was even more impractical.

Because the Boundary Breaker knows the size of his body. Even if he could roll his body up, he could only do so temporarily. The largest spaceship in a technological civilization is only so big. It would take rolling a Boundary Breaker to fit inside. And even if it could fit him inside, wouldn't that be like putting him in a cage? There wouldn't be enough dark matter, so he simply couldn't survive.

Are we just supposed to wait to die?
Is our evolutionary path really wrong?

We have clearly mastered a speed exceeding that of a Level 6 civilization and have already taken one step on the path to a Level 7 civilization, so why is this happening?

"What do those technological civilizations say?" The leader of the second type of boundary breakers didn't know what to say, so he changed the subject and asked about the exploration of the cosmic catastrophe zone. He seemed to still have hope for it.

An ancient boundary-breaker, his heart filled with despair, replied, "Alas, those guys have been probing for nearly ten million years, yet they have no clear answer. All they know is that the visible matter world underwent some kind of phase transition within that cosmic catastrophe zone. They say it might be due to the separation of electromagnetic forces, but we are not quite sure if that is true, because we have discovered that dark matter has also undergone some kind of phase transition."

"In order to find out the situation, we don't know how many excellent lives were lost. The conclusion is that the dark matter on which we depend for survival will undergo some kind of irreversible change in the catastrophe zone. Combining the conclusions of that group of technological civilizations, it should be a phase change that suddenly occurs after the phase change of light matter."

"The dark matter after the phase transition seems to have combined with the bright matter after the separation of electromagnetic fields to form the matter in the catastrophe zone. According to that technological civilization, it is a new world where the fundamental forces of species coexist. Unfortunately, neither we nor they can survive in such a new world, because dark matter is no longer dark matter."

"This is a completely new cosmic catastrophe. In ancient times, before we became great dark matter life forms, we only knew about vacuum decay. Now it's too late to say anything. In the face of this catastrophe, even the stargate can't withstand it. The stargate rule shield has been eroded by it. Now, unless we can truly become cosmic-level life forms, we will all die!"

Upon hearing this, the boundary breakers all fell silent.

Billions of years have passed, and countless older generation boundary breakers have died of natural causes, yet not a single one has successfully broken through to become a cosmic-level life form. They do not believe they can succeed in less than ten million years.

As the disaster zone draws ever closer, the technological civilizations under their command are constantly betraying them in an attempt to escape. The second type of boundary breakers are finding it increasingly difficult. Many boundary breakers have already lost all hope and committed suicide because they could not bear the mental torment of death approaching step by step.

They felt that no matter how much they struggled, it would be the same. Whether they were boundary breakers or technological civilizations that entered the Great Void, they would all be destroyed by cosmic catastrophe in the end, so it was better to end it sooner rather than later.

Whether you're alive or not, whether you hope or not, the ending is the same; only death is eternal!
