Chapter 1582 We are the Children of the Universe

"Thank you very much, but are you really not allowed to leave? I'm still thinking of finding a way to get you out of this cage!" the human civilization replied. This was true; humans genuinely wanted to take this four-dimensional life form out.

Then, the human continued in the name of Lyra: "You keep talking about the despicable collective technological civilization. Does that mean that we, as individual life forms, were once glorious in ancient times, and eventually fought a war with the collective technological civilization and were defeated by them?"

"Ha!" The four-dimensional life form sent out a contemptuous message, and then said in an arrogant tone: "No matter how many schemes and tricks these worm-like things use, no matter how despicable and shameless they are, in the end they still make no progress. Their bodies are still as fragile as worms. This is the pathetic collective technological civilization."

"But we are different. We are children of the universe because we are born to survive in the universe. This universe is our home, not their inferior worms, hateful worms, disgusting technological civilization."

Seemingly sensing that his emotions were getting out of control again, the four-dimensional being fell silent for a while, probably to adjust his mindset.

A moment later, he continued to send a message, saying, "We are the first life forms born since the Big Bang. That was during the period of expansion and cooling after the Big Bang. At that time, those fragile groups of life had nothing to do with us. We are the children of the universe, while those guys are just a bunch of parasites, maggots born from the fragments of our bodies. Yes, they are maggots!"

"In the beginning of the universe, we were the only life forms. We were born powerful, and from the moment we became conscious, we could move freely in the universe. There are many kinds of us, and because of this diversity, some conflicts have occurred, but overall it has been quite harmonious. After all, we all know each other and are aware of the existence of each other's species, and we know that each species, like us, is a child of the universe."

"The conflict between us is nothing more than a contradiction between different children in this universe. Until some unknown time, a species called Gaia discovered that after the death of certain other kinds of life, on the unconscious mounds formed by the corpses and remains of these beings, some tiny microorganisms appeared."

"However, at that time, the Gaia life forms did not care, regarding them merely as 'maggots on corpses' of the first generation of individual life forms, and did not believe that they possessed such mysterious things as wisdom."

After a pause, the four-dimensional life form seemed to be recalling the stories told by the older generation before continuing, "Initially, those microorganisms did not have intelligence. As far as I know, the Gaia life forms at the time only regarded them as small animals born in the current cosmic environment. It was not until they discovered that, with the help of time, those small animals had actually evolved consciousness, and some maggots even evolved the mysterious 'light of wisdom'."

"You should know that the light of wisdom is a very mysterious thing. Out of curiosity, some Gaia beings began to secretly raise small animals for observation."

"Over an observation period measured in hundreds of millions of years, the Gaia life forms gradually discovered that those small animals that miraculously burst forth with the light of wisdom were able to rely on their own intelligence to obtain tools from nature and begin the process of civilization."

"At this stage, the Gaia life forms also discovered that the small animal groups that had entered the stage of civilization could actually generate a spiritual field that nourished their lives, and they could strengthen their lives by absorbing those magical spiritual fields."

"This discovery led the Gaia life forms to increasingly search for their small animals, and at the same time, in the subsequent universe, areas where Gaia life forms kept small animals were formed. Conflicts and contradictions also quietly emerged, but these were not major issues, because everything was still under everyone's joint control."

"But the universe is simply too vast. Some small creatures are under our control, while others develop silently in unknown corners. They are born from the humble corpses of the children of the universe and then thrive by relying on their own light of wisdom." "There are some groups of technological civilizations that, when we discovered them, had already developed to the interstellar level. However, at that time they still posed no threat to us. Many of us even curiously investigated them, visited their birthplaces, and tried to understand their development history."

At this point, the four-dimensional being sighed again: "That was the era of our individual life forms. Some of our life forms even went to the birthplace of those group technological life forms, um, the place they called planets, to perform miracles, just for entertainment."

"After all, they have wisdom, and it's only interesting to amuse ourselves with wise lives. Some go to change their day-night cycle, some go to control the clouds and rain, and some individual lives go to be their saviors, thus passing the time on their long life journey."

"But we never expected that such a small and fragile group of insects could achieve such power through so-called technology. We also never expected that after they became powerful, they would turn against us. Ironically, many of us were unaware of this at the time."

As he spoke, it seemed that he had used too much strength, and the four-dimensional physical rules of the four-dimensional life form's body were crushed by the three-dimensional space, causing him to cry out in pain.

After a long while, he recovered from the shock of his collapsing body and continued his story: "Well, actually, the small animals under our sight don't have any problems, but the universe is indeed getting bigger and bigger over time, so big that we can't take care of them anymore. Then we encountered a group of technological civilizations from an unknown universe. When we discovered them, they had already developed to the level of a cosmic civilization."

"Upon discovering that the swarm of life forms was being kept as animals by the Gaia life forms, they launched a war against the Gaia life forms without hesitation."

"So, the Gaia lifeforms were killed by them?" a human asked curiously.

The four-dimensional life form scoffed, "Heh, it's not that easy. In the end, they were defeated by the Gaia life form. But group life forms are different from us. It's easy to destroy one of their fleets, but it's difficult to destroy their entire civilization. Although the Gaia life form won, that cosmic-level civilization did not perish."

"So in the following period, we encountered more and more cosmic-level technological civilizations. They declared war on us in the name of saving their compatriots. During this time, they grew in number and strength. Some small animals that were originally under our control were also 'saved' by them."

"But this is not the core interest that drives us to wage a full-scale war against them, because the core interest that drives the war is our bodies, or rather, our life forms. Those weak groups of technological life forms have their eyes on our powerful life forms."
