These bulges do not exist from a two-dimensional perspective because there is no concept of a third dimension in a two-dimensional perspective.

The Great Voyage Organization chose to traverse this region, much like crossing a river, by jumping directly into the two-dimensional area and crossing it.

The reason for this choice is that the detour is much longer, because the Great Voyage Organization is currently located in the middle of this two-dimensional region.

As for the four-dimensional life form, although it is called a four-dimensional life form, it can actually curl up its structure in a microscopic higher dimension. The reason it was previously trapped in a three-dimensional space is because that three-dimensional space is absolutely three-dimensional and has no microscopic higher dimensions.
