Chapter 1627 The Dilapidated Avenue of Stars

When the Great Voyage Organization emerged from the two-dimensional world, they discovered that the ultimate warp speed of the three-dimensional universe had increased to one million times the speed of light, and had not continued to increase as before for a long time.

This change was very shocking to the Great Voyage Organization, because no one knew who had brought it on.

Although the current warp speed limit is still half of the two million times the speed of light claimed by the four-dimensional life form, it is still much more convenient. If the cosmic environment had changed back then, the Great Voyage Organization would have been far away by now.

Unfortunately, this change has nothing to do with ordinary level six civilizations, otherwise it wouldn't be so difficult for level six civilizations to embark on long-distance voyages.

Yes, it has nothing to do with ordinary Level 6 civilizations, because this warp speed change is a result of the Rebooters' "cableway" project reinforcing the rules of the universe. To know about this change, one would need at least the ability to modify the rules of physics.

Therefore, its minimum threshold is a cosmic-level civilization. Of course, some races with unique talents may be able to develop one or two aspects at the level of a sixth-level civilization, but at most they can only achieve twice as much as a normal sixth-level civilization. That little warp speed is still extremely difficult for long-distance voyages.

To travel through the universe, one must be a cosmic-level civilization.

After discovering that the maximum warp speed was no longer changing, scientists from various civilizations within the Great Voyage Organization also realized that this change, which was of unknown origin, had ceased.

Furthermore, based on the information provided by the four-dimensional beings, people speculate that a certain god-level civilization has reinforced the physical rules of the entire universe. As before, people still believe that civilization is the Dayan Civilization.

A warp speed a million times faster than the speed of light brings tremendous changes to long-distance travel, but it is still somewhat insufficient for this vast universe, especially considering the direction and purpose of the Great Expeditionary Organization's journey, which is to reach the end of the previously observable universe.

The observable universe has a diameter of 93 billion light-years. If you were to travel 46.5 billion light-years from the edge of the observable universe with yourself as the center, you would have to travel that distance.

Even if it ran at a million times the speed of light, it would still take 46,500 years.

This is a travel speed of one million times the speed of light, and it still takes so long. This shows how important lifespan is to individual life in interstellar civilizations. No wonder anti-entropy elements were so sought after by various civilizations back then.

The reason it is referred to as the original observable universe is that as the fleet advanced, some of the previously unknown universe became known universes, while the observable universes left behind became unknown universes.

This has nothing to do with the level of civilization's development; it only relates to the expansion rate of the universe and the speed of light. Even if a god-like civilization were to arrive, the observable universe would still be within this radius.

Unless they don't use optical observation.

In fact, cosmic-level civilizations possess the ability to detect cosmic membranes, but while cosmic membrane detection can provide instantaneous observation, it cannot reach distant locations as well as optical detection.

Faced with such a long journey, the best way to travel is actually through the super stargate of a god-level civilization. Unfortunately, the star map of the Great Evolution Script provided by the Star Defenders does not include this area.

What else can we do but fly?

And so, after leaving the two-dimensional world, the Great Voyage Organization chose a direction and continued its voyage, which lasted for 20,000 years.

For 20,000 years, the Great Voyage Organization, together with four civilizations, four-dimensional life forms, and guardians of the stars, never stopped. Although they could occasionally receive broadcast messages from the cosmic membrane during their voyage, knowing that there were cosmic-level civilizations active nearby, they did not stop because of this, nor did they respond to the broadcasts from the unknown civilizations.

Because that information is unimportant.

For example, when passing through a certain region of the universe, the Great Voyage Organization received a cosmic membrane message about war and detected fluctuations of a cosmic-level civilization war nearby. The broadcast happened to be a distress message with a complete code dictionary, but no one was interested in getting involved and simply ignored it and continued sailing.

There are countless conflicts in the universe; there's no need to get involved in every little thing.

Some cosmic membrane broadcasts also claim that the region belongs to a cosmic civilization that is stationed nearby and has dispatched spacecraft to patrol the surrounding star system.

The Great Voyage Organization completely ignored the four civilizations and focused solely on its journey.

In 20,000 years, nearly 20 billion light-years have been traveled.

During this time, the various civilizations traversed countless star systems and crossed countless dark voids. They also stopped to observe the various magnificent wonders of the universe, including beautiful nebulae, mysterious black holes devouring each other, and many broken traces of war. Various cosmic disaster areas were also frequently seen.

What worries the Great Voyage Organization most is the current state of the universe.

Previously, because the areas of activity of various civilizations were not extensive in the universe, although these civilizations knew that the universe was riddled with holes, they did not have a very intuitive concept of this statement, or rather, their concept was limited to the Laniakea Supercluster.

After this long voyage, the civilizations have seen more than just a two-dimensional world. There are also two-dimensional worlds that are much larger than the one with the gourd people. Fortunately, because the rules of the universe have been reinforced by the Rebooters, those two-dimensional regions have stopped spreading. However, they have not been restored to three-dimensional space by the universe's own three-dimensional stabilization mechanism.

According to four-dimensional beings, the universe back then would have reverted to three-dimensional space on its own.

If everyone knows that the current situation in the two-dimensional region is caused by the Rebooters' "cableway" project, then they can understand it, since the warp speed limit has not been restored to two million times the speed of light back then.

In addition to the two-dimensional region, there are many vacuum decay regions.

The extent of vacuum decay regions generally reaches billions of light-years, and some even span tens of billions of light-years, and they continue to expand.

Due to the "wave splashing" diffusion mechanism, the vacuum decay region is much faster than the speed of light, and since the universe is expanding, their diffusion speed is even faster.

The Great Voyage Organization traveled 20 billion light-years, of which at least half of the area had already undergone vacuum decay. Everyone was traveling around the vacuum decay region, so the actual straight-line distance traveled was not 20 billion light-years.

Half of the region is a vacuum decay region, and the remaining half is divided into two parts: 50% is the fourth phase transition region and 40% is a region of various chaotic physical rules.

Another part is the region where vacuum decay and the fourth phase transition overlap. This region is not large, and because it is so rare to see, the Star Guardian wanted to go in and explore it, seemingly to find out if the fourth phase transition could neutralize some of the energy from vacuum decay. However, everyone was afraid that something might happen to him, so they stopped him.
