Chapter 1322 Death from Poisoning

Chapter 1322 Death from Poisoning
When Zhu Dianhua hurried back home, it was already time for lighting. The servants were running around the main courtyard in a panic. Zhu Dianhua knocked over two servants who were unable to dodge and rushed into the house.

As soon as I stepped into the door, I heard my mother's close kisses and sad wails coming from inside the house.

Zhu Dianhua panted and stamped his feet, holding on to the door frame to steady himself, and stumbled into the inner room, where he saw the maids and old women kneeling on the ground wiping their tears.

Zhu Dianhua's steps weakened. He stepped forward and pulled away Momo who was lying on his mother. With red eyes, he shook his mother:

"Mother, I am Hua'er, please wake up, don't scare me, mother... mother, wake up, mother!"

Holding his mother's hand which was still warm, Zhu Dianhua couldn't stop crying. He couldn't bear to think that how could a person who was still alive yesterday be gone forever just one day later and could never respond to him again.

Listening to the sad sobbing in the room, Zhu Dianhua raised his head and looked at the court doctor kneeling beside the bed:
"My mother was always in good health. How could she pass away suddenly?"

Facing Zhu Dianhua's scarlet eye, the court doctor lowered his head in fear:
"Madam...Madam, this is..."

His stammering words were interrupted by Hong Anbo who came over after hearing the news:
"Why are you all crying? You are all so loyal. She wants to act, and you all just join in the fun."

As he spoke, Lord Hong'an walked into the inner room without stopping. His wife had been either shouting for war or trying to commit suicide recently because of Menglian's matter. Lord Hong'an thought that this time it was just like the previous days and did not take it seriously.

He was playing with his two children, enjoying the family happiness. He was a little impatient when he was called here. Seeing his son was there, he slowed down his tone:

"Why are you following your mother's lead in making trouble? If you let your brothers and sisters come into the mansion, you will still be the eldest son, and you will not be left behind in any way. When I am gone, you will still have brothers and sisters to help you..."

"Mom is dead! You've pissed me off! If you admit it to me like a cuckold, don't even think about me admitting to those bastards! I will never let them go, I want them to be buried with mom!" Seeing his son's bloodshot eyes and a line of tears, Earl Hong'an's heart skipped a beat, realizing that this was not just a pretense. He didn't care about his son's offensive words, and quickly stepped forward to confirm whether it was true or not, but was pushed to the ground by the furious Zhu Dianhua.

"Don't touch my mother!"

Pushing away Earl Hong'an, Zhu Dianhua grabbed the collar of the court physician, lifted him up, and fiercely questioned him about the cause of his ex-mother's death. The court physician was so frightened that he trembled, and looked at Earl Hong'an, who was helped up by the servants, as if for help.

Hong Anbo temporarily suppressed his son's rebellious anger:

"What are you looking at me for? He was fine this morning, why did he die so suddenly?"

The court doctor said: "Madam...it seems that she has been poisoned..."

Zhu Dianhua asked what the poison was and where it came from, but the court doctors said they didn't know, but the symptoms looked like poisoning. Zhu Dianhua kicked and stomped the court doctors to check, and finally found a clue in the incense burner.

After getting the confirmation, Zhu Dianhua took out his sword and interrogated the servants one by one, but no one came out to admit to poisoning.

Zhu Dianhua raised his hand and chopped off two of them. The servants who usually treated Hong'an Bo as their own were frightened and the whole yard was filled with cries for help. When they were questioned again, no one dared to hide anything and told them everything they had done in the past two days and who had approached the incense burner.

After much investigation, it was found that the only people who had touched the incense burner and incense materials were two personal maids of Lady Hong'an. They were loyal to Lady Hong'an and said they were innocent even when they were punished.

Thinking that the incense was brought back by Lord Hong An, Zhu Dianhua's eyes were burning like fire:
"Where did you buy the incense?"
