Chapter 667 Friendship
Chapter 667 Friendship
……
A dream world.
The residence of the gods.
The Kadas Mountains.
...
More than six months have passed since the fraudster was imprisoned in the Kadas prison.
The two shadows that pulled it from the eternal kingdom have been gone for a long time.
During this period, Imnar lived a very miserable life in the dark and sunless prison.
As is widely known, the Dream Realm is formed by the combination and evolution of the dreams of all the civilized beings that have existed throughout the endless ages. Those civilizations may have long since vanished, but the Dream Realm exists forever.
The prison, on the other hand, is a realm completely isolated from the outside world. It is not part of the dream, and even the gods do not know the origin of the prison.
This faction, collectively known as the Old Gods along with the Dream Gods, originated from a consciousness born beside a dilapidated prison. After a long period of sedimentation, it evolved into the miracle Kadas we know today.
...
Any living being imprisoned in the prison of Kadas will eventually face true death, even if it is a shadow that has transcended the narrow concept of death.
There is no need for any form of killing or torture in the prison; there is only deathly silence.
Compared to prison, the abyss is much more lively.
This way of dying is somewhat similar to "forgetting".
……
Imnal had gradually calmed down from the frantic state he was in when he was first locked up.
It did not resign itself to its fate, but was simply at a loss.
Because in this mud and chaos, it saw the decaying skeletons of the undead, and the dead past, beings even more terrifying than the strongest surviving beings in the universe today.
No one knows when these immortal races entered the prison, nor how they died, because there is no trace of them left behind in the outside world.
...
In a moment of utter boredom, a boy's voice reached Imnar's ears—
“I’ve told you before that there’s a difference between highbrow and lowbrow entertainment. Fooling the gods is, in the end, just lowbrow, but you always seem to enjoy it. What’s with that expression on your face now? This prison isn’t a confessional in a church. They don’t intend for you to walk out of here.”
...
"you?"
After taking a good look at the clean-cut, fair-skinned young man in front of him, Imnar suddenly smiled in realization:
"You got thrown in here too? Good, good, good, hahaha."
The boy who appeared in the prison was none other than Crow, who had been absent from the Blood Moon Era.
Normally, his presence can be found in all the major events that happen in the conscious world, but this time only Raven showed up at the church, while Crow was nowhere to be seen.
Klaus vanished without a trace after his last adventure on the Pohnpei Peninsula.
Who would have thought that while the battle raged outside, he would have silently appeared in the prison of the Gods' Mansion...
"Who said I was thrown in here?"
Crow looked much better than Imnar. Strictly speaking, this place was part of the Dream Realm, so his attire had a medieval feel to it, and it was spotless, showing no signs of being a prisoner.
In contrast, Imnar's main body still retains its swirling, ever-changing appearance, but its formal attire is now tattered, with only the green bow tie around its neck remaining vibrant.
Indeed, the bow tie is the real deal.
...
"you liar."
It's hard to imagine that these are the words spoken through the teeth of the most legendary fraudster in history.
But at this moment, in Imnar's eyes, Crow was nothing more than a complete fraud.
Perhaps no vicious and ugly curses are needed; the mere accusation of "liar" uttered by it is enough to express all of Imnar's resentment.
“What makes you say that?” Crow sat down leisurely, waiting for Imnar to list all its accusations.
"You said the Eye of Thinking could help me deceive the gods' vision! It could allow me to find the secrets buried beneath the world of sanity!" Imnal continued, gritting his teeth, even though he didn't have a mouth on his face.
“You did indeed regain your divinity through the Eye of Thinking, didn’t you?” Crow shrugged.
"But you never told me that there was a Night Demon, a servant of the gods, and that damned, born Shadow in that city!" The more nonchalant Klaus was, the more hysterical Imnar became.
"Can this really be considered my problem? Heh heh." Crow gave a wry smile that wasn't entirely sincere.
"You swore we had a chance to replace the gods of dreams and become the masters of Kadas! Listen to the bullshit you spout! How long have I been the guardian of the Eternal Kingdom? Tell me! Did you betray us? It was you, wasn't it?!"
When Imnar got excited, he grabbed wildly in the air with both hands, stirring up undead skeletons and old, rotten bits of flesh.
It wasn't until he realized his bow tie was crooked that he stopped his ridiculous actions and carefully straightened it.
“I don’t understand why the Favored Ones came to Os-Nargai to capture me? It doesn’t make sense. Don’t they claim to be the children of that Outer God? Why are they working for the Dream Gods? I don’t get it!”
“Of course you wouldn’t understand, and neither would I.” Crow waved his hand. “Nobody can understand, but don’t worry. If it weren’t for your father, do you think you could have been sent to this prison alive? Or do you think you could have clashed with two of the Four Horsemen on the Order level?”
“Of course not,” Imnar said matter-of-factly. “I would die on the spot.”
"So, don't rush it." Crow rubbed his hands together.
A wicked smile, the kind of smile that takes centuries to cultivate, appeared on his teenage face as he confidently declared, "Taking over the Dream Realm isn't something that can be done overnight. It's a monumental undertaking that will take hundreds or thousands of years. You can't rely on deception alone. Occupying an eternal kingdom in the middle of nowhere is already the limit. You have to be patient. Look how many years I've been holding my breath. I've been reincarnated countless times, becoming the son of countless people. I can meet several biological fathers on the street. What's the harm in that? Can being a prisoner for half a year really break our years of cooperation? Obviously not."
"what do you want to say in the end?"
Judging from Imnar's tone and expression, this was definitely not the first time Crow had used this tone and demeanor to fool him.
“I’m saying that if you feel our friendship has been slightly damaged, then I’m prepared to show you my utmost sincerity to win you back,” Crow said earnestly.
"for example?"
"For example, let's leave this godforsaken place first, and then slowly plot our scheme."
"Oh?"
Imnar's eyes immediately lit up.
