Chapter 178 Xiao Zizi’s past
In the mountain hut, smoke is curling from the chimney, and the dining table is steaming with home-cooked dishes.

Ding Xiu and Xiao Zizi ate side dishes and drank Erguotou.

"Ding Xiu, you know why I'm here. I want to know the answer."

"What answer?" Ding Xiu asked.

"What did my senior brother Baowen give you?" Xiao Zizai pushed up his glasses and stared at Ding Xiu with deep eyes.

Ever since he learned that his master Jie Kong died, or that the Buddha's heart collapsed, the murderous desire in his heart became more and more difficult to suppress.

Jie Kong is still dead...

Ding Xiu took out a rosewood box and said with a smile: "I don't like reading Buddhist scriptures. Xiao Zizai, you were a Shaolin disciple, so you must know Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Original Vow Sutra very well."

"Understand a little." Xiao Zizai's eyes suddenly became particularly solemn when he heard the words Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Original Vow Sutra.

He put down his chopsticks, opened the rosewood box, and took out a scripture.

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Fundamental Vow Sutra!
Xiao Zizai turned over the first page.

'That's what I heard.

At one time, the Buddha was in Trayasa Heaven, teaching Dharma for his mother.

At that time, all the indescribable Buddhas, as well as the great Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas in the immeasurable worlds of the ten directions came to assemble.Praise be to Sakyamuni Buddha for his ability to manifest the incredible power of wisdom and supernatural power in the evil world of five turbidities, to tame strong sentient beings and to know the Dharma of suffering and happiness. Each sent his attendants to inquire about the Blessed One.

At that time, the Tathagata smiled and released hundreds of thousands of billions of great light clouds, the so-called Great Perfection Light Cloud, the Great Compassion Light Cloud, the Great Wisdom Light Cloud, the Great Prajna Light Cloud, the Great Samadhi Light Cloud, the Great Auspicious Light Cloud, and the Great Fortune Light Cloud. Clouds, bright clouds of great merit, bright clouds of great refuge, and bright clouds of great praise.

There are indescribable bright clouds like this, and all kinds of subtle sounds come out.The so-called Tanparamita sound, Corpse Paramita sound, Hyangti Paramita sound, Viriya Paramita sound, Zen Paramita sound, Prajnaparamita sound, Compassion sound, Joyful giving sound, Liberation sound, No leakage sound, Wisdom sound, Great Wisdom sound, Lion Roar, roar of a big lion, thunder of clouds, thunder of great clouds...'

Xiao Zizai browsed carefully and never missed a word. When he saw Sakyamuni Buddha, he told Manjushri Dharma Prince Bodhisattva Mahasattva: "You see all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, as well as the heavens, dragons, ghosts and gods, this world, Do you not know how many people from other worlds, from this country to other countries, have gathered here and gone to the Wrathful Heaven?"

Manjushri said to the Buddha: "World Honored One, if I use my divine power to measure it for thousands of kalpas, I can know it."

…………

Xiao Zizai's eyes shrank, the scripture had changed!Originally the last words spoken by Sakyamuni Buddha were 'Do you know the number? '

The last paragraph of what Manjusri said was originally 'cannot be known. 'Now it has changed.

If the words of many side branches and details in the ancient scriptures change, the meaning will change. If an outsider does not understand Buddhism and has no wisdom, it will not affect them. But for someone like Ding Xiu who cultivates the fire of karma, even if Ding Xiu does not understand Buddhism , but you must have a wise heart. If you read this Buddhist sutra, you will be affected.

Those words became a kind of denial and questioning by Sakyamuni Buddha towards people, while the affirmation and harsh words on behalf of Manjushri completely distorted the meaning of the scriptures.

Are twisted Buddhist scriptures still Buddhist scriptures? My Buddha's words have been distorted, is this still my Buddha?
The first part has been modified like this, and it’s even harder to imagine what’s coming next.

Xiao Zizai continued to read, his face getting worse and worse. Although he was born with a disease and couldn't help but want to kill people, it didn't mean he had no wisdom. The content of this Buddhist scripture had been greatly tampered with.

"I see... They wanted to destroy your Karma Fire Magical Power. It seems like they succeeded?"

Xiao Zizai closed the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Original Vow Sutra with a gloomy expression.

He also understood why Master Kong's Buddha's heart collapsed and died.

What killed Master Jiekong was not Ding Xiu's magical power of karma, but the behavior of those in the Buddhist sect.

"Who on earth blasphemed my Buddha..."

Xiao Zizai clasped his hands together and couldn't help but sigh.

"Ding Xiu, if I come here and you don't give me this book or explain it, what will you do?"

"Xiao Zizai, what will you do?" Ding Xiu asked.

Xiao Zizai smiled lightly and said, "Then I can only leave and continue to investigate the real cause of Master Jie Kong's death."

"Oh? You don't know how to do it?"

"Ding Xiu, although I have a little quirk, it doesn't mean I'm brainless, right?"

"Ah ha ha ha... drink..."

After Erguotou took a deep breath, Ding Xiu asked, "What do you want to do next?"

"What do you want to do?" Xiao Zizai asked.

Ding Xiu laughed!

Three minutes later, his face turned cold and he said: "You want to escort me to the Buddhist temple to repent? Are you really making an international joke? Has this quiet place in Buddhism become like this?

Do you really think that Karma Fire is exclusive to their Buddhist sect?
It's ridiculous. I saw a group of monks practicing Zen and worshiping Buddha. They were confused and stupid.

Come one, I will kill one, and I will change all the Buddhist scriptures, just like the devil, just slaying demons, with a clear conscience. Xiao Zizai's glasses reflected the light and said, "Amitabha..."

"I, Buddha Tathagata... I also want to avenge my master... Ding Xiu, do you want to hear my story?"

"Oh? Tell me, how did you escape from Shaolin?"

Xiao Zizai picked up a piece of braised pork with his chopsticks. After chewing it carefully, his eyes showed memories and he said:
"I still remember, it was the summer of 80, when I was only seven years old.

He became a young novice monk in Shaolin. Because of his excellent physique and good bones, he entered the Bodhidharma Academy and was trained.

Bodhidharma Monastery is the place where Shaolin monks have the most glory and foundation.

Many elders in the temple have high hopes for me.

However, among peers, even children can abuse each other and cheat on each other.

At that time, I didn't know that I was sick, or that I wasn't sick at all. I just had a little hobby but didn't realize it.not found.

There are about ten people of similar age to me. Being trained as an outstanding disciple, I have been a bit withdrawn since I was a child, so I seem to be out of sync. Although I have never been bullied, strange looks and ridicule are inevitable.

mid-July.

An event happened that changed my life.

Uncle Xie Wu led me and five disciples of the same age down the mountain to beg for alms, mainly to take us to experience the world of mortals.

In that era, it was not safe to be a stranger between regions. Even a monk who looked like a monk might actually be a fake monk.

Uncle Xie Wu took us down the mountain for five days, trekking through mountains and rivers, and entered a small village called Linwan Village.

We came at the wrong time. The village had just encountered a fake monk who was begging for help. He also harmed the village chief's daughter with the intention of enlightenment. The fake monk was eventually discovered and executed by the villagers.

Our arrival made the atmosphere in the village tense!
The villagers saw that there was a novice monk among us, and although the hostility was not too great, they still drove us away.

At that time, Master Jiewu discovered that there was a Jiuyou Cemetery at the east gate of the village, which had been arranged by evil people.

For the sake of the villagers, my uncle went to inform the people about this, hoping that the villagers would be careful about that place and ask the three families there to move away.

Although Uncle Shi had experienced human affairs and could say good things, the villagers did not agree or believe him. Instead, they packed up farm tools and beat him with sticks. Uncle Master could only sigh and leave.

The six of us spent the night a mile outside the village, but that night, the village was filled with blood!
It turns out that the evil stranger has been hiding in the village for several years. He felt uneasy when we arrived and took action in advance, activating the formation in Jiuyou Cemetery and massacring 69 people in the village!
Uncle Master didn't sleep all night, because he had to take care of us, so he didn't go to inspect the Jiuyou Cemetery in person.

When it was daytime, my uncle took us into the village again, and he knew something was wrong.

The remaining villagers angrily thought we were evil monsters!
At that time, there were firearms in every village. It is a pity that although Uncle Shi was good at Yiren Kung Fu, the firearms of the folks in this village were not earthen boxes, but genuine ones collected from the Japanese. Uncle Master died tragically under the bullets of more than ten firearms. , if not for protecting us, he could have escaped. The villagers did not intend to kill the children, but they still accidentally injured two of the five of us, causing the death of two children.

This is the first time I have seen so much blood!I was excited about the blood. I was actually excited about the despair and unwillingness in my uncle’s eyes when he was shot, and the look that told us to run.

The three of us fled, and in the end only Bao Yin and I escaped.

Afterwards, I don’t know what the outcome of the incident in the village will be, and Master never told me.

But after that day, I became completely sick. At first, I needed to see blood for half a year, then five months, three months, and even had to kill someone!
Otherwise, I will be filled with thoughts of killing and lose my mind!
The masters believe that I was stimulated by the events in the village, which is called stress sequelae. It is difficult to solve and can only be restrained.

As time passed and I grew up, I became the chief disciple of Bodhidharma Academy, and even an elder. I was able to control the disease with the help of Master.

However, on the day I turned 31!Junior Brother Baoyin, who survived the same year in the village, died tragically in the outside world and was sent back as a corpse.

I recognized at a glance that the person accompanying me was a young man from Lin Wan Village. This young man accidentally opened fire and killed my senior brother.

He was in his fifties or sixties, but I could still tell the difference clearly, and I exposed the truth to his face.

However, 30 to [-] years later, this man had already become a wealthy man in the city and was famous throughout the country. Bao Yin even died tragically because of protecting him.

How ironic...

The atmosphere in the temple was very strange at that time. My words were like farts. Even the rich man was not nervous. Instead, he laughed and said: "What happened back then was really a misunderstanding. Master, it's over and the case has been solved. Next time I will send my Buddha [-] million in repair fees and incense money every month to express my apology."

At that time, I saw many elders and some brothers with extremely bright smiles. I was the only one standing there out of place, and my master remained silent.

I began to not understand the world. That night, I was so stimulated that I wanted to kill someone!I'm going to kill that man!
My master seemed to have already noticed my problem. He appeared, stopped me, and asked me to kill him.

At that time, I was full of murderous intent and was not clear-headed, so I still hurt the master. Seeing me stop, the master said the Buddha's name with joy, and even abandoned his cultivation. He said to me, "Baojing, if you want to kill someone again in the future, you must first kill me."

After that, I broke away from the teachers, sought medical treatment, and finally joined Nadutong. "

"Ding Xiu, do you think my master is stupid?" Xiao Zizai pushed up his glasses, with tears in the corners of his eyes.

"No, he has great enlightenment and is a real eminent monk."
