Solving the case: Combining the police dog's olfactory genes at the beginning
Chapter 1128 Still Hasn't Learned His Lesson
"We can't even meet the major's demands, where would we get spare parts for you?"
After hanging up the phone, Brother Shui slammed it onto the leather sofa.
He realized that General Manager Wei might have prioritized supplying the major's group with the goods.
After a sleepless night, Brother Shui found Scarface early the next morning. The two met in a secret room at Brother Shui's private club.
"That old fox, President Wei!"
After listening to Brother Shui's story, Scarface slammed his fist on the mahogany table.
"If we hadn't helped him open up the South American route back then, he wouldn't be where he is today. Now look at him, turning his back on us!"
Shui Ge had a gloomy face, and the cigar in his hand had burned to the end.
"He can definitely still produce another ton of goods, but they've all been supplied to the major."
"What about the ten million deposit?"
Shui Ge suddenly revealed a sinister smile.
"Let Li Shun deal with the major and his gang, let them fight like dogs."
Scarface paused for a moment, then understood.
"That's a good idea. But that means..."
"It means we have to betray President Wei."
Brother Shui took a deep breath.
"Wealth is found in danger."
That afternoon, Brother Shui arranged to meet Li Shun at a private tea room. Amidst the fragrant tea, Brother Shui's expression was unusually serious.
"Mr. Li, to tell you the truth, there's a problem with the supply of goods."
Brother Shui poured Li Shun a cup of fine Pu'er tea.
"My supplier may not be able to meet your needs."
Luo Fei frowned slightly.
"Brother Shui, I've already paid a deposit."
"Don't worry."
Brother Shui waved his hand.
"I have a suggestion. If you can solve the supply problem yourself..."
A glint of light flashed in Luo Fei's eyes.
"What does Brother Shui mean?"
Shui Ge leaned closer, his voice extremely low.
“I can tell you all the information about President Wei, including his real identity as Wei Guofu, the chairman of Luxiao Pharmaceutical Technology.”
Luo Fei was startled, but remained outwardly calm.
"A pharmaceutical company?"
"Yes."
"Water Brother sneered."
"Luxiao Technology ostensibly manufactures cold medicine, but in reality..."
He made a refining gesture.
Luo Fei immediately understood that Lu Xiao Technology was using its legal status to purchase large quantities of ephedra grass, extract ephedrine from it, and use part of it for pharmaceuticals and the other part for drug production.
This is why anti-drug operations in Jiangcheng have repeatedly failed.
"President Wei is very cautious."
Brother Shui continued.
“He only communicates directly with the three ‘pilots’ below him. The families of these pilots are all under control in Jiangcheng, so even if they are arrested, no one will implicate Boss Wei.”
Luo Fei nodded thoughtfully.
"Brother Shui, what do you want after helping me like this?"
Brother Shui grinned, revealing a set of teeth stained yellow by cigarette smoke.
"I need you to deal with the major's gang. They stole my supplies."
"Major?"
"A group of mercenaries."
Shui Ge looked disgusted.
"Mr. Wei's new favorite. They recently had a deal at the Binjiang Road cargo terminal."
Luo Fei tapped his fingers lightly on the teacup, a burning desire for revenge surging within him. The major was the murderer of Fan Wensheng and Li Chunlin.
"make a deal."
Luo Fei raised his teacup and clinked it with Shui Ge's.
"However, I need more details."
Brother Shui nodded in satisfaction and pulled a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket, pushing it over.
"At 8 PM tonight, at the Binjiang Road cargo terminal, a cargo ship flying the 'Shunchang' flag will be there. The major will be receiving two tons of rock sugar, worth 100 million yuan."
Luo Fei put away the note and, as he stood up, caught a glimpse of a scar on Shui Ge's wrist—a mark he had left himself three years ago.
"Brother Li."
Shui Ge suddenly called out to him, his eyes darting around.
"Be careful of those three mercenaries with the major; they're all ruthless former special forces soldiers."
Luo Fei nodded, pushed open the door, and stepped into the night.
"Are you crazy?"
Xi Ruyi, using the alias Chen Xuanran as her accomplice, lowered her voice and said angrily.
"We're pretending to be a couple to get close to Mr. Wei's finance manager, not to take on a group of mercenaries!"
Luo Fei stood by the window, the light filtering through the curtains casting dappled shadows on his face.
He turned around, his eyes filled with a cold light that Xi Ruyi had never seen before.
"The major is the murderer who killed Fan Wensheng and Li Chunlin."
His voice was deep and dangerous.
"And I suspect they are connected to the deaths of my parents fifteen years ago."
Xi Ruyi was stunned.
She had never heard Luo Fei mention his parents.
"After tonight's operation, I will request backup from my superiors."
Luo Fei took a pistol from deep inside the wardrobe and checked the magazine.
"You can choose not to participate."
Xi Ruyi bit her lip and finally sighed.
“We are partners, remember? ‘Husband and wife’ should advance and retreat together.”
Luo Fei's lips curled up, but the smile didn't reach his eyes.
"Then let's get ready, 'wife'."
The Binjiang Road freight terminal was brightly lit, and cranes roared.
Luo Fei, wearing work clothes covered in cement dust, carried two bags of cement and walked briskly.
His "wife," Xi Ruyi, was disguised as an accountant, checking the goods list in a temporary office not far away.
Luo Fei's gaze swept over the four men on the deck.
The one standing at the front should be the major, in his forties, with a burly build and a typical military bearing, and a thin scar on his left cheek.
Behind him stood three sharp-looking men with eagle-like eyes.
Luo Fei pretended to bend down to tie his shoelaces, secretly activating the "Genius Eye" ability.
His vision suddenly cleared, and he could see a U.S. Army badge pinned to the collar of the major fifty meters away, as well as the missing tip of his right little finger.
When his gaze fell on the mercenary to the major's right, his heart skipped a beat. The man known as "Pockmarked" had a black eagle with outstretched wings tattooed on the side of his neck.
Memories came flooding back to me.
That year, seven-year-old Luo Fei was pushed out of the car by his mother and hung on a small tree on the edge of a cliff.
As the vehicle plunged off the cliff, he saw through the shattered window a burly man standing beside the truck with a black eagle tattoo on his neck.
"Hey! What are you spacing out for?"
The foreman's reprimand brought Luo Fei back to reality.
He kept his head down and continued carrying cement, but his fingers trembled uncontrollably.
Fifteen years of hazy memories suddenly became clear. It wasn't an accident; it was murder!
"Li Shun!"
Xi Ruyi's voice came through the earphones.
"The major has left the deck and headed towards the toilets."
Luo Fei adjusted his breathing.
"Continue to monitor the situation and be careful."
Just then, a commotion broke out on the deck.
Luo Fei looked up and saw a burly man, presumably Wu Qiang, the local gang leader, grabbing the mercenary "Mantou" by the collar and cursing under his breath.
"Who the hell do you think you are?"
Wu Qiang's voice pierced through the noisy dock.
"I'm doing you a favor by offering you a cigarette!"
Mantou remained expressionless, his eyes as cold as a snake. Wu Qiang's henchmen nervously tugged at his sleeve.
"Brother Qiang, forget it, President Wei already gave the instructions."
Wu Qiang shoved his underling aside.
"Get out of my way! I'm going to teach this arrogant bastard a lesson today!"
What happened next happened too fast.
Mantou grabbed Wu Qiang's neck with one hand and his belt with the other, lifting the former Sanda champion above his head.
As Wu Qiang stared in horror, Mantou's knee suddenly slammed into him. "Crack!" The sound of a spine breaking was clearly audible even from a distance.
Wu Qiang's body went limp, and he casually tossed the steamed bun aside. His body fell silently into the dark Han River.
Throughout the entire process, the major's other men simply watched indifferently.
"Li Shun, don't look over there."
Chen Xuanran tugged at Luo Fei's sleeve, his voice extremely low.
"Don't attract attention."
Luo Fei looked away and continued carrying the boxes in his hands.
"That guy is no ordinary person."
Luo Fei responded in a low voice, sweat trickling down his temples.
How much strength does it take to break a spine with your bare hands?
Chen Xuanran did not answer, but gestured for him to be quiet with his eyes.
Not far away, the major came out of the toilet, looked around, and seemed somewhat displeased.
Where is Wu Qiang?
The major's voice wasn't loud, but it silenced the entire dock for a moment.
Mantou pointed expressionlessly at the river.
The major's expression changed slightly, but he quickly regained his composure.
He walked to the edge of the dock, stared at the dark water, and remained silent for a few seconds.
"Listen up, everyone."
The major turned around, his voice icy.
"No one has seen Wu Qiang today, understand?"
The subordinates all nodded in agreement, and no one dared to raise any objections.
Luo Fei noticed that the major's gaze swept over every worker, including himself and Chen Xuanran.
He lowered his head, pretending to be scared.
"Li Shun".
Chen Xuanran suddenly moved closer, pretending to wipe his sweat, but actually whispering something.
"A yacht is approaching from the three o'clock position."
Out of the corner of his eye, Luo Fei spotted a luxury yacht silently gliding toward the dock. The ship was dark, like a lurking shark.
"President Wei's men have arrived."
Luo Fei said in a low voice.
"Follow the plan."
The major had clearly noticed the yacht as well, and he quickly gave orders to his men.
"Ready to receive the goods!"
Then he turned to the three mercenaries standing to the side.
"Three of you, if you discover anything unusual, take immediate action and leave no survivors."
The pockmarked mercenary grinned, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth.
"Understood, boss."
Luo Fei's goods were all loaded when one of the major's henchmen came over and threw a wad of cash at him.
"Three hundred yuan, take the money and get out of here."
Luo Fei took the money, counted it, then suddenly sneered and threw all the banknotes into the Han River.
"I didn't come here for these three hundred dollars."
Luo Fei's voice suddenly changed; it was no longer that of the timid worker Li Shun.
The henchman was stunned.
"You fucking bastard."
Before he could finish speaking, Luo Fei slapped him across the face.
The henchman was thrown out and crashed into a shipping container, losing consciousness.
The other workers scattered in terror and fled the cargo ship.
"Li Shun!"
Chen Xuanran exclaimed in surprise, but it was too late to stop it.
Luo Fei strode towards the deck, his eyes sharp as knives.
Those on deck immediately noticed the unusual situation.
The major's two henchmen rushed up to stop him, but Luo Fei didn't even look at them. He grabbed their collars and shoved them between the two men.
With a muffled thud, the two collapsed limply to the ground.
The major's expression changed drastically, and he quickly drew his pistol and aimed it at Luo Fei.
"Stop! Move again or I'll shoot!"
Luo Fei curled his lips into a cold smile and continued walking forward.
The major pulled the trigger.
A gunshot rang out, piercing the night sky.
As the bullet was fired, Luo Fei's body shifted to the side at an incredible angle. The bullet grazed his shoulder and struck the metal plate behind him, sending sparks flying.
"impossible"
The major's finger trembled as he pulled the trigger again.
This time, Luo Fei didn't dodge. Instead, he rushed forward, snatched the pistol before the major could fire, grabbed the major's belt with his other hand, and threw him into the river like trash.
With a "plop," the major disappeared into the dark river.
It all happened so fast that the three mercenaries didn't even have time to react.
When they came to their senses, Ma Zi and his two henchmen simultaneously drew their pistols and aimed them at Luo Fei.
"Who the hell are you?"
Ma Zi asked sharply, his voice trembling uncontrollably.
Luo Fei didn't answer, only stared coldly at them. Ma Zi's two henchmen nervously swallowed, their fingers on the triggers.
"shot!"
Ma Zi gave the order.
Two gunshots rang out almost simultaneously.
Luo Fei dodged left and right at a speed impossible for a human to achieve, and both bullets missed their mark.
"What the hell."
"A mercenary muttered, his face pale.
The man with pockmarks reached for the pistol at his waist, but stopped halfway. What use was a gun against an opponent who could dodge bullets?
Luo Fei walked slowly toward the three men, each step feeling like he was stepping on their hearts.
The two mercenaries beside Ma Zi were completely stunned, their legs trembling and their guns involuntarily lowering.
"You killed my two brothers?"
Luo Fei asked in a cold voice, his deep voice like an echo from hell.
The three looked at each other, clearly not understanding what he was saying.
"It's fine if you don't answer."
Luo Fei suddenly pulled out his sidearm from his back waist, his movement so fast it was almost invisible.
"Super Gun Technique Activated".
He meditated in his heart.
"Bang! Bang!"
The two gunshots rang out almost simultaneously. Before the two mercenaries could react, each had a bloody hole in their forehead and fell straight onto the iron deck.
As Ma Zi watched his two international mercenaries, whom he had hired at great expense, being dealt with so easily, a whimper that sounded inhuman escaped his throat.
"You...you're not Li Shun!"
Ma Zi staggered backward, his back hitting the cold gunwale of the ship.
"who are you?"
Luo Fei did not answer, but continued to approach.
Ma Zi knew things wouldn't end well today, and his eyes turned fierce.
He suddenly launched a flying kick at Luo Fei, attempting to fight him with his elite soldier skills.
He had kicked three wooden stakes before, a kick that could break the ribs of an ordinary person.
However, Luo Fei easily grabbed his ankle with his left hand and squeezed it with all his might without any mercy.
"Crack!"
The sound of bones cracking was particularly jarring on the silent river.
Ma Zi let out a heart-wrenching scream, clutching his shattered ankle as he collapsed to the ground, rolling around in agony.
"Ah! My feet!"
Luo Fei looked down at him, his eyes devoid of pity.
"Now, we can talk."
Knowing he could no longer stand up, Ma Zi's survival instinct led him to pull out his pistol and, trembling, fire three shots at Luo Fei.
Luo Fei moved swiftly, and all the bullets missed their mark.
He kicked the pockmarked man's gun into the river, sending it flying and splashing up a small spray.
"Looks like you haven't learned your lesson yet."
Luo Fei said coldly, raising his hand to fire two shots.
"what!"
Ma Zi screamed again, two bullets piercing his thighs, blood soaking his trousers. (End of Chapter)
