Chapter 1389 Cyclops and Iron Man

From Tony's initial cold nuclear fusion reactor to Chang Wei's developed thermonuclear fusion reactor, both are the starting points of the new energy revolution.

But these technologies seem so pale and powerless compared to the power displayed by the energy core before us.

He realized that he was standing at an unprecedented crossroads, a critical moment that could rewrite human history.

What Tony didn't know was that this energy battery was not a product of the Earth, but energy absorbed and converted by the Hydra organization through the Cosmic Cube, a mysterious object containing the power of infinite gems.

As one of the Infinity Stones, the energy of the Cosmic Cube is naturally incomparable to any other energy form or form in the natural universe.

It transcends the limitations of time and space and is one of the most primitive and purest forces in the universe.

A small clue can reveal a big picture. The technology behind the ability to come up with such new energy is enough to make Tony's scalp tingle.

Tony temporarily came out of the basement.

"I am Iron Man. You think you are the only special one. How about meeting One-Eye?"

A deep and powerful voice suddenly sounded in the dim living room.

Tony's head snapped up, his eyes scanning every corner of the living room, trying to find the source of the sound.

Finally, his sight fixed on one side of the sofa, where a shadow had appeared without him noticing, as if it had emerged out of the darkness.

As his vision focused, Tony saw the outline of the man clearly - a black man with a sturdy build and a resolute face. The most striking thing was that there was only one eye on his smooth head that sparkled with wisdom, and the other eye was covered by a black eye patch.

"who are you?"

There was a hint of alarm in Tony's voice.

Despite the unsettling way the other person appeared, Tony didn't sense any direct hostility in the other person's tone.

"If it's illegal trespassing, I can just shoot you dead according to the Castle Law."

There was a hint of warning in his words, but he was also testing the other party's reaction.

"Stark, I'm Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D."

The one-eyed black man answered calmly.

Hearing the word "S.H.I.E.L.D.", Tony paused for a moment, and gently shook the Bordeaux red wine glass in his hand, creating delicate ripples in the wine.

"You're the one, Agent Coulson's boss?"

Tony put his glass down, his tone slightly curious.

Coulson, the always smiling, gentle SHIELD agent, left a deep impression on Tony.

Nick Fury nodded slightly, confirming Tony's guess.

"Then why did you come to see me? Let me make it clear first, if you want my battle suit, no way."

There was a hint of teasing in Tony's tone, and he had obviously expected that someone would covet his precious battle suit.

"I'm not interested in your suit."

Nick Fury's answer was crisp and clear, without any hesitation.

"I'm just curious, why did you want to reveal your identity?"

Tony heard this and a playful smile appeared on his face.

"Why should I hide it?"

He asked back, with a hint of unruliness in his tone.

“That’s not my style.”

He shook his head, his tone firm.

"I am Iron Man. I, Tony Stark, can protect world peace all by myself."

Nick Fury was not surprised at all that Tony would say that, that was Tony's style. "Have you ever thought that this would bring you a lot of trouble?"

There was a hint of earnestness in his words, as if he was warning a child who was about to step into unknown territory.

Tony's confidence is not groundless, Iron Man does have the power to change the world.

"What kind of trouble will it be?"

Tony turned around and looked directly at Nick Fury with a bit of disdain on his face, "Is there anyone else who dares to challenge Iron Man's authority?"

Nick Fury sighed and said slowly: "S.H.I.E.L.D. will not infringe on your technology, whether from its own standpoint or for the sake of your father. However, the government and the military will not be so polite to you. And those arms companies that are jealous of you may join forces to force you to hand over this technology. After all, mastering such power means mastering huge benefits."

Tony sneered when he heard this.

"Since my father, Stark Industries has contributed a lot of technology to the country, but none of them were forced to be handed over. I believe this tradition will not be broken in my hands."

Nick Fury looked at Tony, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.

He knew that Tony Stark was a man of extraordinary talent and firm convictions, but also an impulsive, reckless guy.

Such a character may be regarded as personality in peacetime, but in a world full of crises, it may become a fatal weakness.

"I hope you can still be so confident by then."

Nick Fury sighed softly, with a hint of helplessness in his tone.

Now that the matter has been made public, it is futile to say anything more.

He didn't want to waste too much time on this, so he changed the subject and said, "Mr. Stark, I have something I need your reference on."

Nick Fury used the more formal title "Mr. Stark", which surprised Tony a little.

He put away the cynicism on his face and looked at Nick Fury seriously, waiting for his next words.

"The Avengers Project."

Nick Fury uttered these four words slowly, with a hint of solemnity and anticipation in his tone.

There was an indescribable light in his eyes, as if he was talking about a great plan that was about to change the world.

"What is that, your heavy metal rock band?"

Tony asked.

"No, this is a special response plan."

Nick Fury briefly talked about the Avengers Project.

Tony understood.

"I have to say, you found the right person, but you don't need anyone else. I am enough."

Tony raised his chin and said confidently.

"Where's Chang Wei?"

Nick Fury's relentless revelation.

"As I recall, Obadiah was dealt with by Chang Wei."

Nick Fury continued.

"It's just that I wasn't well prepared. There won't be a next time."

Tony shrugged. He had already prepared a plan for the "anti-Iron Monger armor". He was sure that if he met Iron Monger again, he would give the mastermind a surprise.

Although he captured Obadiah, Tony's technology had been leaked. In addition, the other party had such energy batteries, so Tony was not sure whether the other party would mass-produce Iron Monger.
