The reincarnation of the heavens begins with the path to immortality

Chapter 949 Speculation on the Previous Civilization

Shakyamuni was unwilling to awaken and unwilling to accept the Amitabha Buddha Emperor. As a result, he was abandoned by the Garuda King and was regarded as a demonic shell of Buddha by Mount Sumeru in the Western Desert, and was not regarded as the future Buddha.

However, Hua Hua awakened and accepted part of the consciousness and enlightenment left in the stone Buddha by the Amitabha Buddha Emperor. As a result, he was recognized by the Golden-Winged Roc King, who believed that he was the future Buddha he was looking for.

In fact, both Shakyamuni and Huahua can be considered true future Buddhas, or rather, incomplete future Buddhas. They are both reincarnations of the Amitabha Buddha Emperor, but neither of them are the Amitabha Buddha Emperor; they are merely reincarnations of a part of his consciousness and spiritual attainment.

So, did that Amitabha Buddha Emperor successfully achieve Nirvana and return from the dead? Or did he fail?
He cannot be said to have achieved Nirvana, because he has not truly awakened his true self. Neither Shakyamuni nor Hua Hua is the Amitabha Buddha Emperor; the Amitabha Buddha Emperor has not truly returned.

However, it cannot be said that he failed, because Shakyamuni and Huahua are still alive. As the reincarnations of the Amitabha Buddha Emperor, as long as they are alive, it means that the Amitabha Buddha Emperor is also alive, living in their respective consciousness and spiritual attainment.

Previously, the Amitabha Buddha Emperor lived in the consciousness and hearts of countless Buddhists; now, the Amitabha Buddha Emperor only lives in the bodies of Shakyamuni and Hua Hua.

If one day, Shakyamuni and Hua Hua could merge into one, perhaps then the Great Emperor Amitabha would truly awaken and return from Nirvana!
But is that possible? Absolutely not! Especially for someone as steadfast as Shakyamuni Buddha, how could he possibly accept merging with Hua Hua and causing the Great Emperor Amitabha Buddha to awaken and return?
So perhaps, the time for that Amitabha Buddha Emperor to truly awaken and return has not come, which can be considered a failure?

Thinking this, Shen Pingkang, the Celestial Venerable of Longevity, glanced at Shakyamuni with his eyes lowered and brows bowed, and couldn't help but sigh inwardly: "It seems that the method of Nirvana based on faith of that Amitabha Buddha Emperor also has great risks. Indeed, this method of Nirvana is inherently extremely risky. The first risk is that the sect it establishes must continue for hundreds of thousands of years, and the faith cannot be destroyed."

"The second risk is that you may be reincarnated through the power of faith. However, it depends on whether the reincarnated body is willing to accept you as its own. If it is not willing and tries various ways to get rid of it, like Shakyamuni, then it will be difficult to achieve Nirvana and awaken!"

"Both risks are fraught with uncertainty and uncontrollability. Just as the Underworld Emperor does not acknowledge himself as the Tribulation-Crossing Celestial Venerable Cao Yusheng, Shakyamuni Buddha does not acknowledge himself as Amitabha Buddha. Such uncontrollability of risks often leads to the failure of Nirvana Awakening!"

"Therefore, this method of faith-based Nirvana is fine to experiment with, as it's good to have another means of preparation. However, it's best not to use this method unless absolutely necessary, as the uncertainty is simply too great!"

For a moment, Shen Pingkang, the Celestial Venerable of Longevity, was somewhat disappointed, disappointed that the risks of this Nirvana method were uncontrollable and should not be used lightly.

He thought that Hua Hua was able to survive in the Sacred Ruins perhaps because of this method. Otherwise, how could Hua Hua survive when everyone else had died? It must be said that this method was indeed amazing. It could even be said that using the power of faith to open up one's own reincarnation was already incredible. Especially considering that the Amitabha Buddha Emperor was only an emperor, he already had such ingenious ideas. It was truly amazing!
If that Amitabha Buddha Emperor could cultivate to a higher realm, becoming an immortal, an immortal king, a quasi-immortal emperor, or an immortal emperor, perhaps he could truly open up the cycle of reincarnation for all beings, or at least open up the cycle of reincarnation for a Buddhist believer!

Thinking of this, he had a sudden thought, and then he thought of the ancient underworld reincarnation path in the Immortal Realm that could allow people to be reincarnated. It was a relic left over from an unknown era, which was dug out by the Desolate Heaven Emperor. The supreme being from the secluded plateau had also stepped through the ancient underworld reincarnation path and crossed the Bridge of Life and Death. His footprints and power were left on that reincarnation path and the Bridge of Life and Death.

Therefore, it is reasonable to speculate that things like the Bridge of Life and Death, the cycle of reincarnation in the ancient underworld, and the altar of the Immortal Emperor are likely relics of a previous civilization, from the era in which the supreme being of the otherworldly plateau lived.

That civilized era was destroyed for some unknown reason, leaving only these ruins and the surviving supreme being.

He embarked on the cycle of reincarnation, walked across the bridge of life and death, and ascended the altar of the Immortal Emperor, perhaps searching for traces of the past and reminiscing about it. But alas, everything was destroyed. His civilization was reduced to just him, and all that remained were the indestructible ruins.

This is a profound loneliness! The world is destroyed, and I am the only one left alive. How can anyone not break down?

Just like the ancient emperors of the past, ten thousand years is too long, and twenty thousand years is too long. The world has changed, relatives, friends and enemies have all passed away, and his era has ended. Most of the ancient emperors of the past could not accept this great sorrow. They forcibly severed their own lives or sealed their descendants and subordinates, just so that millions of years later, they would not only be alive alone, but also have the people and things they knew, which was a small consolation.

Unfortunately, the supreme being of that secluded plateau, from the previous civilization he lived in, was the only survivor. His family, friends, and enemies were all gone, leaving only ruins such as the ancient underworld's cycle of reincarnation, the bridge of life and death, and the immortal emperor's altar!

Everything perished so completely, all living beings were wiped out, and even the supreme being was powerless to revive loved ones and friends!
What kind of calamity could have destroyed the world so completely? Even the supreme beings above the sacrificial path could not restore it!

Thinking of this, Shen Pingkang, the Celestial Venerable of Longevity, felt a tightness in his heart. He had only one guess in his mind: the previous civilization may have experienced a terrible war between those on the sacrificial path, and those on the sacrificial path perished together, destroying everything completely. The river of history was completely erased, and everything that happened in the previous civilization was also completely erased, leaving only a blank!
Therefore, the supreme being of that secluded plateau, such as the Desolate Heavenly Emperor and Ye Fan, could not trace his past, because his past was originally a blank!
For example, if one day, the three of them, the Desolate Heavenly Emperor, Ye Fan, and Chu Feng, who are above the Sacrificial Dao, were to go to war with each other, the final result might be the same: everything would be completely destroyed, all living beings would be exterminated, and they themselves might die in the battle, perishing together!
