The reincarnation of the heavens begins with the path to immortality

Then, he looked at the crowd on both sides and said, "I have studied and comprehended the Phoenix Nirvana Method of the Undying Emperor for many years and have gained some insights. It is roughly divided into several steps."

"The first step is to return to one's origin, to return all one's blood, energy, magic power, lifespan, physical body, laws, primordial spirit, and so on to their original source in order to aid in Nirvana. Fellow Daoist Blood Phoenix has just successfully taken this first step!"

"The second step is to return to the origin and use the fire of the origin to refine away all the decaying and aging energy, so as to maintain the vitality within the origin. As you can see now, Fellow Daoist Blood Phoenix has also accomplished this second step. Although the vitality within his origin appears very weak, it has never been extinguished and has been maintained!"

"The third and final step is to truly comprehend the true meaning of the phoenix's rebirth through the refining process of the Nirvana Fire, thereby transforming oneself with the help of the Nirvana Fire, nurturing new life from one's origin, and being reborn from the ashes!"

"This is what Fellow Daoist Blood Phoenix needs to do next: whether he can comprehend the true meaning of Nirvana from the Nirvana Flame and truly be reborn from the ashes!"

Upon hearing this, Huang Xudao, Old Golden Crow, Shakyamuni and the others nodded thoughtfully. They had all chosen the Phoenix Nirvana Method and had studied and comprehended it for many years. They naturally had some understanding of the Phoenix Nirvana Method of the Undying Emperor and knew the dangers in this scripture.

One of the dangers is that the very first step could go wrong. If you use the primordial fire to burn yourself, and you lose control, all your blood, energy, mana, and lifespan could be burned to ashes, and you could instantly burn yourself to death and pass away in Nirvana.

The second danger is that after everything is burned to ashes and returns to its origin, if one cannot maintain vitality within that origin, the vitality will be extinguished, and one will naturally be reduced to ashes. The third danger is that although the vitality within the origin is maintained, one cannot comprehend the true meaning of the phoenix's rebirth, and cannot truly succeed in rebirth. In the end, when the origin is completely burned away, the rebirth will naturally fail.

Therefore, at this moment, the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor has successfully passed two trials. The third trial is to comprehend the true meaning of Phoenix Nirvana in the refining of the primordial blood fire. If successful, he will naturally be reborn; if he fails, he will be reduced to ashes.

Clearly, the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor belongs to the Phoenix family, and the primordial fire he emits is also Phoenix fire. Therefore, the Phoenix Nirvana Method of the Undying Emperor is naturally very suitable for him. Logically speaking, he should not have difficulty comprehending the true meaning of Nirvana from Phoenix fire.

However, he also has a very obvious disadvantage, namely that his source is insufficient. If his source is insufficient, he cannot last long. Therefore, his time is running out. If his source is burned away and he has not yet truly comprehended the true meaning of Nirvana and been reborn from the ashes, then he will be in danger.

Thinking of this, Shen Pingkang, the Eternal Celestial Venerable, frowned again, his gaze fixed on the blood-red essence that was being continuously refined and burned. Day after day passed, and he watched as the blood-red essence dwindled in size, from the size of a heart to the size of a small fist, and then to the size of a small stone. Although there was still a faint life force within it, and the life force remained undying, he still did not see the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor emerge from the ashes. He knew then that the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor was probably in trouble, in danger!

If this refining and burning continues, the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor's essence will not last more than ten days or half a month before it is completely burned away!

In other words, the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor only has ten days to half a month left. If he fails to undergo Nirvana within these ten days to half a month, he will dissipate.

Therefore, Huang Xudao became increasingly nervous and uneasy, but time still passed day by day. After another seven days and seven nights, everyone in the Longevity Hall kept their eyes fixed on the blood-red source, quietly observing its changes. However, as the blood-red source grew smaller and smaller, eventually becoming the size of a soybean, the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor still failed to achieve Nirvana. Although there was still a faint life force in that soybean-sized source, the outcome seemed to have been predetermined.

Suddenly, everyone in the Hall of Longevity fell silent, quietly watching the source still enveloped in crimson flames, as if waiting for the soybean-sized source to be burned away, and then announcing the failure of the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor's Nirvana!
Huang Xudao could not accept the reality before him. He knelt down, tears streaming down his face, and cried out, "Father! Father! You must hold on! I believe in you. You will surely succeed in your rebirth and be reborn! Father!"

Seeing this, Shen Pingkang, the Celestial Venerable of Longevity, shook his head and sighed softly, muttering to himself, "This has given me my first lesson: insufficient source energy! Once you choose Nirvana, but your source energy is insufficient, it will be very dangerous!"

He couldn't help but recall Ye Fan's first Nirvana transformation in the original novel "Covering the Sky." Ye Fan lacked immortal essence, so his Nirvana was extremely difficult, and he had to rely on the immortal land on Earth to maintain his life.

Therefore, perhaps before the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor undergoes Nirvana, he should first go to the Immortal Land and activate the Ninety-Nine Dragon Mountains. This might allow him to maintain his vitality and give him enough time for Nirvana and transformation.
If the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor was like this, are the Myriad Dragon Emperor, Immortal Granny, and Great Roc Emperor also like this? They were all self-severed and self-sealed supreme beings who had endured millions of years, becoming extremely decayed and aged, and their original essence was certainly insufficient. If they wanted to undergo Nirvana and transformation in the future, would they also need to rely on the Immortal Land to maintain their vitality?

They watched helplessly as the Blood Phoenix Ancient Emperor's essence shrank little by little, failing to undergo Nirvana for a long time. Their hearts sank deeper and deeper, and they couldn't help but ask themselves in secret: "Is Nirvana really feasible? Or is it just an illusion, like the path to immortality?"
