Chapter 415: The Accomplice is Unmarried

Chapter 415: Accomplice - Unmarried (Part )

Six accomplices in the case
Seventy-three Unmarried (Part 1)
The night market street next to the Second Primary School of Huabin Middle Road is under the jurisdiction of Nanyang Road Police Station. Small and medium-sized public security issues are a constant worry all year round. On weekdays, eight out of ten police calls are mediation incidents with spit flying all over the face, and the rest of the temporary police calls are mostly about lost things and looking for children. The others are serious cases of drunken trouble and bloodshed. Jiang Mo has been squatting in this small shabby building of the police station for almost two days, and this is the first time he has encountered such a thing.

Jiang Mo first leaned against the door frame and looked into the hall, but did not rush forward.

The middle-aged man who was almost smashed by a bottle of wine huddled in the police station reception hall between the long row of seats and the floor-standing air conditioner in the corner that had not been turned on for hundreds of years to save electricity. His clothes, which should have been neat before he was chased for half a street, were somehow torn and tattered. His face was filled with panic that did not match his actual age. He cried in fear and shock. In the intervals between sobs, he looked back from time to time, as if looking for someone. He glanced around in panic and then lowered his head to hold his head, mumbling something intermittently, but none of the young people on duty in the reception hall could understand him.

"You're still playing dumb, aren't you?! The girl was afraid of getting into trouble, so you kicked her in the face, right? You're holding her skirt and not letting go, eh, today I'm going to--"

The drunk and furious brother with tattoos broke free from the auxiliary police officers who were restraining him on the left and right, pointed at the innocent figure in the corner and took two steps forward while cursing - his friend was lying on the police reception desk helping to register his information. The two girls, who seemed to have inadvertently caused the chaos by screaming when their skirts were pulled, reached out to stop the situation from escalating further, but their wrists were shaking with fear, and they stretched their arms but missed, staggering and almost fell to their knees at the door.

Jiang Mo quickly grabbed the girl, took a step sideways and blocked the brother with tattoos, then raised his arm to block the brother's fist which was already halfway in his swing even though he noticed it. He hissed, swung his arms and shook his hands which were numbed by the brute force.

The cause of this one-sided pushing and chasing was actually a bit of a misunderstanding.

Zhou You came back from delivering the color printouts to the conference room, just in time to see the tattooed man bowing his head in regret for punching a tall and slender girl like Jiang Mo due to a momentary mistake. He approached the police reception desk with a bit of amusement and inquired about the ins and outs of this "violent" incident. He then took out a lollipop from his colleague's pocket and handed it to the uncle in the corner with the floor-standing air conditioner.

"We all call him Uncle Fu, and the neighbors nearby are quite familiar with him. Anyway, he has been like this since I was a child, silly and stupid. When he went out to play, he would guard the school during the day and the small intersection of the night market stalls at night. My father had given him a red armband for his duty before, so he now listens to our Director Zhou the most, and it is useless for others to persuade him. Usually he just watches if there are strangers picking up children, and helps to keep an eye on thieves at night. A lot of anti-pickpocketing work in our station is done by him...but he just can't speak clearly. Sometimes when he sees a thief and wants to warn him, he will just grab the person's clothes if no one pays attention after he shouts a few times. He doesn't care if he calls him a big brother or an uncle, but many girls who come to travel and hang out don't know about it and are often scared by him. Normally, they can just explain it away, but there are not many cases like the big brother with tattoos who sees him picking up little girls and takes action for justice."

Zhou You sighed slightly, tilted his head and glanced at the brother with flowery arms who was listening to the auxiliary police and the two little girls he regarded as "victims" repeating their explanations with his drunken eyes. He took Jiang Mo's arm and shook it twice, raised his chin and nodded at the flowery skirt of one of the girls, frowning slightly: "...I think I know why Uncle Fu pulled that girl's skirt."

Jiang Mo raised his eyebrows slightly, "Have any of the older women in his family ever worn this retro red polka dot skirt?" "I asked my dad about it, and he showed me a photo. Uncle Fu's mother was wearing a red polka dot skirt when she died... I heard that it seemed that she committed suicide because of his intellectual problems. She originally wanted to take him with her, but in the end she couldn't bear to do so and left him to fend for himself. Later, someone from Uncle Fu's aunt's family took him over to take care of him, but Uncle Fu's aunt passed away at the beginning of this year. I guess the family members are sometimes unable to keep an eye on him at work, so now he can't come to Nanyang Road and Huabin Middle Road every day. He occasionally sneaks out here, and I didn't expect that he would cause such a mess..."

Zhou You finished his words in a low voice, curling his lips with a mixed feeling. When he was halfway through lamenting about his bad luck, he saw Director Zhou holding a color-printed A4 paper in his hand, and hurriedly walking down the stairs in the office area.

Zhou Feng was sweating profusely in the conference room for a while. He went up to the policeman who was handling the case to learn about the situation and follow-up arrangements. He turned around and walked quickly to Uncle Fu, gently patting his shoulder where his clothes were torn.

Uncle Fu first huddled in the corner, sulking his head and twisting his shoulders stubbornly. He didn't look up until he heard Director Zhou's consolation whisper. He threw himself into Director Zhou's arms and burst into tears as if he had finally found a backer. The aggrieved and pitiful brother with flower arms was sobered up by his crying. He rubbed the sweat off his face with tears in his eyes, then raised his arm and reached out to the auxiliary police comrade: "Why don't you just detain me."

The cause and effect of the conflict were sorted out in detail, and the three parties involved in the police case and Uncle Fu's guardian also clarified the result of not pursuing the misunderstanding through telephone and video - Uncle Fu gladly accepted the ice cream from the tattooed brother as a handshake and no longer pursued the matter. He helped identify the thief who was caught while scouting the street and sat obediently on the bench waiting for his brother who was still working overtime to pick him up in half an hour. He finished eating the ice cream cone silently and felt his hands sticky, so he looked around, aimed at the piece of paper tightly held in Director Zhou's hand, and tried to pull it into his arms.

Zhou Feng didn't take it seriously at first. He gave him a duplicate sheet of paper. When he escorted the tattooed man out of the police station, he turned around and glanced at Uncle Fu carefully. Then, seeing Uncle Fu holding up the sheet of paper to examine it carefully while wiping his hands, he asked casually, "Old Fu, do you know him?"

"Ok!"

Uncle Fu nodded very solemnly, turned over the crumpled piece of paper, and muttered a few words inarticulately, probably explaining the origin of their relationship. Then he lowered his head and touched the long hair in the picture twice, and spoke in a rare clear and decisive voice.

"Lianlian."

Due to work and health reasons, I will be working on another day~
"Should have no place to live, but a heart."
