How to clean out food residue between teeth? Zhu Youtang suddenly thought that it would be OK if he used a brush to brush out the remaining food in his teeth.

But how to make a brush? The bristles on the brush must have a certain hardness and be soft so that food residue can be removed without breaking the mouth. He thought of pig bristles, so he ordered the workers to make a long and thin bamboo board, dig rows of small openings at the top, wash the pig bristles, and insert them into the small openings. In this way, three days later, the worker presented the brush to Zhu Youtang. Zhu Youtang used the brush to clean his teeth in the mouth. The effect was really good, and he was very happy. The worker begged Zhu Youtang to give the brush a name. Zhu Youtang said: "Since this brush is for cleaning teeth, let's call it a toothbrush."
