Chapter 11 11. Compensation
Vail Inn.

At this time in the past, the Vail Hotel had been filled with guests who had gotten up for breakfast.

Only today, the dining room table was empty.

"Wil, what's going on? Why did you suddenly fire us?"

The chefs at the Weir Hotel stood at the front desk and glared at Weir, "Besides, you asked all the hotel guests to check out early this morning. What do you want to do?"

"Yes, Weir, how many years have we been working here, why do we suddenly want to resign? If you do this, we will not accept it if you do not give us satisfactory compensation!"

Facing the aggressive employees, Weir looked embarrassed, "This... this is Lafla's decision, and I can't change it... If you have any doubts, just tell her."

dong dong dong dong!

Heavy footsteps came from upstairs, and soon Mrs. Weir's fat body appeared in everyone's eyes.

"Mrs. Weir, what on earth is this..."

"What's the fuss about? What's the fuss about! This store is closed!"

After Mrs. Weir came down, she put her hands on her hips and did not give anyone a chance to question her. "So, don't ask anymore! As for compensation, we will compensate you according to the original agreement in the contract, so please be quiet now!"

Seemingly intimidated by Mrs. Weir's momentum, no one dared to refute for a while.

Seeing that no one spoke, Mrs. Weir raised her chin proudly, but she soon thought of something again, and she became a little panicked again.

So I went to the front desk and slapped the tabletop loudly, shouting in a sharp voice, "If you want compensation, come here quickly!"

Half an hour later, a group of Weir Hotel employees left the Weir Hotel with the generous compensation they received. They looked at the gold coins in their hands with some disbelief on their faces.

Because not only did Mrs. Weir readily give them compensation, she also didn’t make any deductions!
In the past, they would rather believe that the rats in the sewers were extinct than they would never believe that such a thing would happen.

"Vell, have you contacted the Housing Chamber of Commerce?"

Mrs. Weir asked hurriedly after the employees left.

After Raymond was taken away by the knights last night, she quickly made the decision to sell the hotel and leave immediately.

As long as Raymond was captured and stayed for two days, even just one day, she and Will had already left West Town before Raymond was released. That would be enough!
"Raymon, why did he become the awakened one!"

Mrs. Weir said through gritted teeth.

Although the total number of awakened people in the Kingdom of Atlan is definitely not a small number, and there are many awakened people in West Town, it does not mean that becoming an awakened person is easy.

On average, only one person out of every hundred people has magic affinity that can meet the standards of becoming an awakened person.

"Already contacted."

Weir replied, but there was an expression of embarrassment on his face, "But... they said that the time was too short and they could not find a buyer. Although they are willing to accept it, the price may be greatly reduced... they can only offer 250 gold coins."

"What!" Mrs. Weir immediately shouted when she heard the price, "250 gold coins! This is a four-story hotel, and there is a restaurant on the first floor! And we have kept all the equipment!"

"That's true, but they said that our hotel is very old and needs too many repairs. The equipment is also very old and needs to be replaced..."

"That's enough!" Mrs. Weir shouted loudly, her face flushed with anger, and the fat on her body squirmed up and down.

But Mrs. Weir thought about it. When this hotel was built, the town of West was not so prosperous, and it didn't cost much to build it.

Moreover, the hotel is still made of wood. Now it can be sold for 250 gold coins, thanks to the prosperity of the town.

So she calmed down, "250 is 250, but you tell them that they must deliver the 250 gold coins today...forget it, I will tell them myself." Mrs. Weir was worried and prepared to go to the Housing Chamber of Commerce by herself. ’, but just when she was about to go out with the fat around her waist, two figures walked into the hotel.

"The hotel is closed today, no pick-up... Lei... Lei..." When she saw the two people clearly, Mrs. Weir's eyes suddenly widened, and then she looked frightened, and she was so frightened that she could not speak.

It was Raymond and Arya who appeared at the door.

"You... why are you back so soon?" Mrs. Weir never expected that Raymond would be released so quickly.

"Mrs. Weil, where are you going?" Raymond looked at Mrs. Weil with a smile on his face.

Mrs. Weir looked panicked and looked around, not daring to look at Raymond. "That's right, get ready to go out and get some fresh air. The hotel is really hot today...ah haha..."

"Do we need to fire all employees to get some fresh air?"

The smile on Raymond's face instantly faded.

He and Arya had just returned from the Knights' Hall and happened to meet several hotel chefs who had been fired.

They didn't know what happened last night, and they kindly reminded Raymond and Arya to go back to the hotel to ask Mrs. Weir for compensation.

After Raymond asked, he found out that Mrs. Weir actually fired all the employees and paid full compensation!
He didn't expect that Mrs. Weir would be willing to do this by becoming an awakened person.

But he quickly guessed why Mrs. Weir did this: she was afraid that the compensation would not be enough, and she would be entangled by employees and unable to get out in time!
So I took Arya and rushed back before Mrs. Weir left.

"This this……"

Mrs. Weir was speechless for a moment, but then she quickly raised her chin and said with a serious face: "This is my hotel, I can resign if I want... Don't you just want compensation, I will give it to you."

As she spoke, she took out four gold coins, stepped forward and threw them on the guest table in front of Raymond and the others. She carefully stepped back a few steps, not daring to get too close to Raymond.

"Well... the compensation for each of your waiters is one gold coin and fifty silver coins. For the sake of what happened last night, I will give you a little more... take the money and leave as soon as possible. I don't want to see it again. you."

The currency of the Kingdom of Atlantis includes copper coins, silver coins and gold coins, and the exchange ratio is 100:1.

So Mrs. Weir did give each of them an extra fifty silver coins.

"Raymon, don't think that I am afraid of you because you have become an Awakened One. I don't owe you any money. If you dare to hurt me, the masters of the Knights will definitely not let you go like this!"

Mrs. Weir said, glaring.

But you could hear her voice trembling slightly.

The more selfish a person is, the more he cherishes his life. She is also afraid that Raymond will make her pay the price even if he takes his own life.

After all, it is often heard that after a young man awakens, he immediately kills all the people who have bullied him.

She was also afraid that Raymond would do such a thing.

"Raymon," Arya also grabbed Raymond's arm at this time, worried that he would make a dangerous move.

Raymond smiled at Arya, "Don't worry, I won't be impulsive."

He glanced at the four gold coins on the table, stepped forward, picked them up, and said, "These compensations are enough."

Just when Mrs. Weir thought the matter could be resolved satisfactorily, Raymond's voice came again:

"Now that the compensation for dismissing us has been settled, it's time to talk about the compensation for slandering and framing an awakened person."
