Chapter 625 Dragon Prodigy
"Ao Xuan." Yan Ming stood up, squinting as he looked at the golden-scaled dragonman in the distance. He was very familiar with this dragonman.

A prodigy of the Dragonkin race, he has become a hero in just fifty years. The legendary leader of the Hidden Dragon Society, he is a genius who can rival most of the young talents in the capital. It is said that he is already one of the four designated elders of the Dragonkin race and a contender for the future position of elder of the Azure Sky Tower.

Yanming had heard many stories about him, such as how he single-handedly defeated four heroes, and how he lost to a tribal hero after a hundred moves.

In short, Ao Xuan is an indispensable figure when evaluating the young prodigies of the Baixi tribe.

But now, this chosen one of heaven stood opposite them, his crimson-yellow eyes fixed intently on each person atop the behemoth. A contemptuous and arrogant smile graced his face, as if he were toying with a swarm of ants.

"I'm really looking forward to it." Yanming grinned.

“I didn’t expect it would be him personally taking action. It seems your investigation was correct, Brother Yan.” Xuan Jue stood beside Yan Ming, opening his eyes to meet the dragonman’s gaze. He showed no sign of panic, a smile playing on his lips. “It is truly an honor to be able to fight against a prodigy of the dragonman.”

"We still need to be careful; Ao Xuan is no ordinary person," the Gaoshan youth said warily.

“The four of us are all proud members of our clan. What are we afraid of him for!” Yanming said indignantly.

The behemoth stopped, its path blocked by dozens of dragonmen. Even a nine-zhang-tall beast dared not advance in the face of those sharp spears.

The man in black stood atop the giant beast, coldly observing the scene. They made no move, seemingly having no intention of getting involved. After all, the elder had only summoned the outsiders, not promised to protect him.

"Hahaha, Yan Ming of the Rock Clan, how have you been?" A burst of laughter rang out as the Golden-Scaled Dragonman leaped over a hundred feet and landed on the giant beast. He looked at the crowd with a relaxed expression. "It's been several years since we last met, Brother Yan, you've improved quite a bit."

"Hmph, Ao Xuan." Yan Ming sneered upon hearing this, glancing at the dragon warriors who had surrounded him on the ground. "We are on our way to the Azure Sky Tower today. I wonder what your intention is in stopping us?"

Upon hearing this, the Golden-Scaled Dragonman raised his claw and examined it. Then, he leisurely said, "Knowing that Brother Yan was passing by, I had to come and say hello. The Dragonmen are warm and hospitable, and I would like to invite you all to our clan for a chat."

"Pah!" Yan Ming spat angrily. "You know we're going to the Sky Tower, and intercepting us here is clearly ill-intentioned. Do you really think we don't know what you're thinking? If you want to deal with Brother Jiang, you'd better get past us first!"

"Sigh, you all." Ao Xuan shook his head helplessly and sighed, looking up at the sky. "I meant well, how could you misunderstand me like this? Brother Yan, I was quite interested in your distinguished guest, I just wanted to hear some interesting stories about the Baiyi tribe. I also wanted to chat and become friends. How could you slander me and think I'm such a despicable person?"

"Open your heart? Haha, did I hear that right? The cold-blooded and ruthless leader of the Hidden Dragon Society can open his heart? I wonder if that dead Dragon Man Yan thought so?" Yan Ming sneered.

Upon hearing this, the Golden-Scaled Dragon Man frowned slightly, his expression somewhat gloomy. He placed his hands behind his back and waved them in front of the crowd. His gaze settled on Jiang Wen, and then he said, "There must be some misunderstanding in this matter. Why don't you all come and sit in my reception area, and I will explain it to you slowly? I think this distinguished guest from the Jiang family would certainly be willing."

In that instant, Jiang Wen felt a powerful pressure descend upon him. It contained a bloody aura, and was extremely ferocious. But Jiang Wen remained unmoved, looking at the golden-scaled dragon man with an unchanged expression: "Brother Yan is traveling with me and it is not easy to separate us. This noble person may ask my Brother Yan how he is doing."

The golden-scaled dragon was somewhat surprised, and scrutinized Jiang Wen more closely. Perhaps he hadn't expected his earlier pressure to have no effect, as the man remained completely unmoved. However, no matter how he observed him, he seemed utterly unremarkable. His aura was mediocre, unlike that of a warrior who had awakened his bloodline.

How strange. The golden-scaled dragon thought to himself.

Seeing this situation, everyone was hostile. The golden-scaled dragon sighed and said, "I came with good intentions, but since you all think I am not well, then I have no choice but to speak."

“Brother Yan, as long as you, this distinguished guest from the Jiang family, can tell me the origin of the immortal stone, I will respectfully see you out.”

"Immortal Stone? What Immortal Stone?" Yanming asked, puzzled.

“He once gave something to the dragon-man, and that thing was the legendary immortal stone. It’s an immortal stone, something that can only be found in the legendary immortal lands. Aren’t you curious, Brother Yan?” the golden-scaled dragon-man said slowly. “I would like to ask Brother Yan’s distinguished guest where this immortal stone came from.” “What if I, Brother Jiang, say I don’t know?” Yan Ming asked coldly.

"Then I can only invite you to sit in the clan and let you think it over carefully," the golden-scaled dragonman grinned.

"Heh, we'll have to see what you're capable of."

After saying this, Yanming swung his heavy hammer at the golden-scaled dragonman. In that instant, the four of them rushed forward and knocked the golden-scaled dragonman off the giant beast.

"Since that's the case, then I won't stand on ceremony." The golden-scaled dragonman snorted, and golden light appeared in his hands, revealing two golden hammers.

"Let's see how impolite you are!" Yanming spat, his stone skin gleaming with a gray light.

The heavy hammer slammed into the ground in a wide arc, shattering the bluestone slabs, the force aimed directly at the golden-scaled dragonman's lower body. Xuan Jue's four arms flew, his four longswords dancing into a silver net. The sword wind whistled, blocking the dragonman's left and right escape routes. Two mountain tribe youths shouted in unison, their spear tips touching the ground. Stone spikes burst from the earth, their jagged edges biting towards the dragonman's ankles.

The golden-scaled dragon-man sneered, his twin hammers blazing with golden light. Without dodging or yielding, he met Yan Ming's heavy blow head-on with one hammer, the shockwave exploding and causing roof tiles to fall from surrounding houses. His other hammer swept across the air, colliding with Xuan Jue's sword net, sparks flying. Blood energy surged beneath his feet, crushing the incoming stone spikes, sending fragments of rock flying.

The golden scales on his forehead gleamed faintly, and his aura of blood rose like mist. The scattered pebbles on the ground floated into the air and, guided by his hammer strikes, rained down on the crowd.

"Take this!" Yanming roared, parrying with his horizontal hammer, sending stone chips flying.

Xuanjue's sword light was even faster, scattering the rubble, but he was still forced back several steps. The young man from the Gaoshan tribe spun his spear rapidly, deflecting the flying rocks, the spear humming incessantly.

The dragon-man seized the opportunity and stomped down, cracking the ground. The golden twin hammers, carrying the force of wind and thunder, pressed down again. Yan Ming met them head-on, hammers clashing with a deafening roar like thunder. The blue bricks beneath his feet shattered, his feet sinking three inches into the ground, and fine cracks appeared on his stone skin.

Xuan Jue suddenly darted to the side and behind the dragon man, unleashing four swords simultaneously, aiming straight for his joints. The dragon man, however, seemed to have eyes in the back of his head; a golden hammer flew out of his hand and spun around to parry, while the other hammer remained firmly pressed down on Yan Ming.

During the brief stalemate, the dragon-man let out a low, inhuman groan, and the golden scales on his body shone brightly. A faint dragon-shaped phantom rose from behind him, and his oppressive aura suddenly increased.

"Soaring Dragon!"

A dragon's roar suddenly resounded from the Golden-Scaled Dragonman's throat, and the illusory figure behind him solidified a third. A surge of powerful blood energy spread out like a tide, causing Yan Ming to stagger backward, with stone chips falling from his cracked skin.

Xuanjue thrust his four swords swiftly, but they were tightly entangled by the self-spinning golden hammer, sparks flying everywhere. With each exchange, his arms grew weaker and number, forcing him to retreat step by step, crushing the bricks beneath his feet.

Two young men from the Gaoshan tribe roared, their spear tips planted in the ground, attempting to raise the stone barrier again. However, under the pressure of the dragon's might, the newly protruding rock spikes were crushed to pieces by the emanating blood energy. The golden-scaled dragon man grabbed at the air with his free hand, and immense force surged forth, slamming the two men against a wall.

boom--!
The wooden wall was suddenly pierced through, and smoke and dust filled the air.

The dragon-man ceased his pursuit, and his twin hammers clashed violently. A burst of golden light erupted, and a shockwave exploded outwards in a ring. The remaining window frames shattered, and nearby roof tiles collapsed in a rustling sound.

He stood amidst the chaos, his golden scales fading and his bloodlust receding. Only a cold laugh remained as he looked down at the four somewhat disheveled figures.

"Hmph, the prodigies of the three races? Nothing special."
