Chapter 627 Preparing to bring things to a close.
Zheng Jiasheng looked at Zheng Linsheng, his expression not very good.

Seeing that he was looking dejected and not saying anything, Zheng Linsheng asked again, "What's wrong? Didn't you give it to me?"

"Do you ever tell the truth?" Zheng Jiasheng pushed the person in front of him away and started walking home.

"Hey, what do you mean by that?" Zheng Linsheng said from behind. "I asked you about the money. I had to talk to her before she agreed to give it to me. Don't just think about yourself."

"I won't hold it against you this time." Zheng Jiasheng's tone grew increasingly harsh, and he finally snapped, "Don't waste your breath on me, get out of here!"

"Hey!" Zheng Linsheng lost his temper and shoved Zheng Jiasheng hard, almost sending him sprawling face-first into the dirt. Luckily, Zheng Jiasheng still had some strength in his legs and managed to stand up after staggering a few steps.

"You're even trying to act tough with me now. If I hadn't said so many nice things to her, who would she even recognize you as?" Zheng Linsheng rolled up his sleeves and scolded his second brother. "You took the money and then turned your back on me. Do you even care about your younger brother?"

Zheng Jiasheng didn't want to argue with him in a crowded place, so he kept his head down and walked forward.

Zheng Linsheng, caught up in his emotions, ignored everything and quickly ran a few steps to pull the person back, shouting, "Why are you running, you shameless thing!"

As Zheng Jiasheng saw that his words were getting increasingly offensive, he forcefully shook him off. At the same time, he couldn't help but think of what Xi Dong had said earlier: "If our family didn't have Uncle, life would be much more comfortable than it is now."

She thought of him again, and even after receiving a sum of money, she wasn't satisfied and kept asking him for more.

"You eat my food, use my things, how much more money do you want!" Zheng Jiasheng had never spoken to Zheng Linsheng like this before.

Although Zheng Linsheng was shameless as a child, he wouldn't allow Zheng Jiasheng to talk about him like that.

He immediately pinned Zheng Jiasheng to the ground, punched him, and while the other man was stunned, searched his body for money.

He had only just begun searching when a passerby stopped him, saying, "Hey, what are you doing? You dare to rob people in the street! Don't you have a death wish!"

Zheng Linsheng was hit with a carrying pole by a passerby, and when he heard someone was going to report it to the authorities, he was so frightened that he hurriedly ran away. The more he ran, the angrier he became, and taking advantage of being the first to get home, he ignored Zhou Erya's attempts to stop him and stole all the money from the house.

When Zheng Jiasheng arrived home, he was met with a mess and angry neighbors in the yard.

Before Zheng Jiasheng could ask any questions, the neighbors exclaimed, "Oh, Zheng Jiasheng's second son, you're finally back!"

"Your brother must have eaten something rotten outside, because he came back and ransacked your house! Your wife tried to stop him, but he beat her to the ground. Your aunt and the others carried her inside, and I heard she's still unconscious. You should go check on her!"

Zheng Jiasheng was pushed into the house by the crowd and entered his room. There he saw several women surrounding the kang (a heated brick bed), calling out to the person on the kang.

He went over and saw his wife lying unconscious with half her face covered in dirt and her eyes closed.

When the older aunt saw Zheng Jiasheng, she angrily punched him, "Look what your brother has done! Er Ya still can't be woken up. Why don't you go and get a doctor!"

Once in front of everyone, Zheng Jiasheng panicked. He dared not reveal his thoughts and simply let the younger generation of the village accompany him to the town to find a doctor.

While they were frantically searching for a doctor, Zheng Linsheng, who had robbed them of the money, was also rushing out in a hurry.

He couldn't stay in Anxi Village any longer; it would be best if he could leave Beishan County. With this thought in mind, Zheng Linsheng began heading towards Yangmen County.

Zheng Jiasheng went out to find a doctor but hadn't returned yet when Zhou Erya woke up.

She wasn't dizzy at all; she just didn't want to open her eyes. Earlier, she had fallen down following Zheng Linsheng's force, thinking as she fell, "That's it, I'll never wake up again."

So when the neighbors carried her into the house, she didn't react at all. When the neighbors called her, she didn't react either. Even when Zheng Jiasheng came back, she still didn't react.

But she woke up when she heard her neighbors discussing whether they should go find the two children and bring them back.
