The two saints in the West also used this method to attain enlightenment, but the luck and merits of Buddhism were not enough for them to achieve enlightenment, so they made forty-eight great wishes to the Heavenly Dao before they succeeded.

It was originally a helpless act, but who would have thought that by some unexpected coincidence it would lead to the will of heaven and give rise to the trend of the rise of Buddhism.

In addition to the merits of creating humans and establishing religions to prove the truth, there is another way, which is to kill the three corpses to prove the truth.

The representative figure of this path is naturally Jiang Qi’s own Three Pure Ones Patriarch.

But strictly speaking, the only person who attained enlightenment simply by beheading the three corpses was Saint Taiqing.

The advantages and disadvantages of this method of attaining enlightenment can be seen.

Killing the Three Corpses to attain enlightenment is more pure, but also more difficult. Even Jade Purity and Upper Purity did not fully achieve this, and in the end they only achieved enlightenment by cultivating merits at a lower level.

However, it is also more powerful than simply proving the truth through merit.

In fact, when it comes to advantages and disadvantages, the difference is really not that big, it can even be said to be negligible.

But at the saint level, this is so insignificant that it becomes particularly important.

This is also the main reason why the Three Pure Ones suppress the Two Buddhas.

Today, practitioners of Taoism and Buddhism are also influenced by their respective ancestors.

People in Buddhism, such as Medicine Buddha, practice merit and attain enlightenment.

People in the Taoist sect, on the other hand, are more inclined to practice the method of beheading the three corpses.

Of course, it's not absolute.

If nothing unexpected happens, Jiang Qi's senior master should place both methods in front of him and let him choose.

This unnamed method of beheading the Three Corpses does not require the support of magic weapons or the separation of the Three Corpses.

Instead, it is fusion.

After beheading one corpse, separate it and merge it into the remaining two corpses. Then behead another corpse, break it up and merge it into the last corpse.

Finally, cut out the thing that is the combination of the three corpses and merge it with yourself.
