Chapter 814 The Chapter of the Spirits and Gods
Chapter 814 The Response of the Elves and Gods
Tyrion, the land of elves
At the heart of the small world forest stands a magnificent temple.
The entire temple is carved from moon-white starstone, and its iridescent luster, like mother-of-pearl, flows between the changing light of dawn and dusk.
The temple's dome is over a hundred feet high and covered with a transparent crystal screen, allowing the light from the stars in the sky to pour down directly, intertwining with the illusory light bands inside the temple to create a flowing star trail pattern.
Twelve emerald pillars, entwined with reliefs of tree branches and leaves from around the world, support the dome. Each pillar is topped with a large gemstone, which, when refracted by light, projects tiny rainbow spots, creating a sacred corridor of light on the ground.
In the very center of that temple stood a colossal statue of the elven god Corellon, over thirty meters tall.
His statue is carved from a single piece of white stone, and when illuminated by the light, it exhibits a translucent, jade-like luster.
The statue of Corilon has soft yet majestic facial features, with its left eye shimmering with the pale golden light of dawn and its right eye swirling with the pale purple halo of approaching twilight.
In his left hand he held a silver leaf scepter, a symbol of elven authority, its shaft entwined with silver vines formed from bands of light.
His right hand is outstretched, palm facing upward, holding a miniature sun model, which symbolizes the main artifact of Corellon, the Sun Crown.
It rotates slowly along the trajectory of the real sun, casting a warm, non-scorching golden halo.
On either side of the statue of Corellon, statues of other gods of the Elven pantheon stand symmetrically.
Some of the statues are made of weathered oak and bronze, with cheetah spots carved on their faces and transparent wings made of light bands spreading out behind them, each feather shimmering with the luster of morning dew.
Some of the statues are crafted from obsidian and mithril, their facial features as serene as moonlight. They hold a book written with ribbons of light, and as the pages are turned, tiny starlight scatters, creating flowing stardust on the ground.
Li Si followed Adela into the temple.
As the most important place in Tyrion, the land of the elves, Li Si had no doubt about the authenticity of the statues of the elven gods in this temple.
These are the most authentic appearances of those gods!
Li Si secretly observed the area and immediately sensed an inexplicable pressure.
It was as if one were being watched by some sublime being.
The entire temple was filled with a powerful and sublime sacred energy, and a faint fragrance floated in the air, a fresh blend of morning dew, new leaves and stars.
As Li Si stepped into the temple, he felt a slight tremor beneath his feet, as if it were resonating with the pulse of the entire forest.
Although there was no one else in the entire temple except Adela and Li Si, Li Si could hear faint prayers.
The bands of light projected from the dome sway gently in sync with the frequency of prayers, creating a flowing halo on the surface of the statue, as if the deity is displaying His sublimity.
Li Si obediently followed Adela to the center of the temple.
Before him stood the statue of Corellon, the chief god of the elves.
At this moment, Adela changed into a moon-white robe adorned with stardust and stepped barefoot onto the altar in front of the statue of Corilon.
She took out a silver bottle engraved with intricate patterns from her waist and poured the morning dew stored in the bottle onto the altar.
The dewdrops instantly transform into tiny starlight upon touching the ground, meandering along the star-like patterns embedded in the earth, eventually forming a continuously flowing ring of life on the altar.
Adela raised her right hand, touched her brow with her index and middle fingers together, and began to chant the Silver Leaf Prayer.
It was a prayer praising Corellon, written in ancient Elven script.
Adela's voice was clear and melodious, like the first song of a morning bird; with each syllable she uttered, the statue of Corilon would flash once.
"O supreme god Corellon!"
You are the first ray of sunlight piercing through the forest leaves in the morning mist.
It is the eternal verses whispered by the emerald forest under the moonlight.
You awaken the slumbering forest with your silver leaf scepter.
You allowed the vines to bloom with the first green shoot in the barren land.
You have allowed the stars to trace the trajectory of the Elven race's destiny in the night sky.
From new moon to full moon, from waning moon to new moon,
You safeguard the final resting place of every fallen leaf, and the trajectory of every star.
You safeguard the undying glory of the Elven race throughout the ages.
You write the answers on the ground with bands of light, and reveal prophecies on the dome with star trails.
You guided the elves away from disaster, seized opportunities, and moved forward under the guidance of the stars.
You are the embodiment of the heart of nature, the source of healing and growth!
You take nature as your crown and the stars as your staff!
May we, under your guidance, carry on the ancient wisdom of the elves.
May we walk in your light toward eternal peace and glory.
O supreme god Corellon,
Please accept our deepest praise and prayers!
May your divine light forever illuminate the path of the Elven race!
May your eternal wisdom forever guide our way!
May your compassionate power forever protect our souls!
As Adela prayed, the silver leaf scepter in the left hand of the statue of Trelon suddenly burst forth with seven layers of rainbow light, projecting an extremely large tree projection onto the dome.
The starlight twinkling among its branches seemed to resonate with the distant forest, and Li Si could almost hear the subtle sounds of the trees growing.
Li Si recognized the giant tree projection at first glance.
That's the World Tree, Yggdrasil!
As the prayer drew to a close, Adela spread her arms, and the stardust on her robes seemed to begin to flow, resonating with the bands of light on the temple dome.
As Adela recited the final verse of the prayer, the divine power within the entire temple suddenly surged forth.
The light bands projected from the crystal dome of the ceiling began to sway violently, resonating strongly with the "starlight patterns" on the surface of the statue, creating visible energy ripples in the air.
Suddenly, the right hand of the statue of Corellon rose slightly, and a golden beam of light shot out from the miniature sun model, enveloping the entire temple.
Li Si thought that Corellon was about to descend, but then the radiance on the Corellon statue suddenly dimmed.
At the moment when the statue of Krelon dimmed, the statue of the moon and the guardian goddess Fenriya suddenly shone with a silvery-white light that was purer than the moonlight.
The light was not dazzling, but as gentle as the brightest moonlight on a spring night, yet it possessed a profound depth that could penetrate the soul.
The moonstone on the surface of the statue began to show patterns of the changing phases of the moon.
From the new moon to the full moon, and then to the waning moon, every line shimmers with a mother-of-pearl iridescence, as if the entire cycle of the moon's phases is condensed onto this statue.
As the radiance intensified, the moon disc behind the statue suddenly unfolded automatically, projecting a silvery-white beam of light that shot straight up to the dome, intertwining with the starlight cast by the crystal dome to create flowing moonlight and stardust.
These stardust particles were not static, but rather moved through the air as if they were alive. The stardust patterns embedded in the ground began to glow with a pale blue light, resonating with the radiance of the Fenrir statue.
Just then, a phantom slowly emerged from the Fenrir statue.
The phantom was dressed in a moon-white robe, embroidered with the same moon phase patterns as the statue.
With each step she took, the hem of her long robe rippled with moonlight, as if she herself were the embodiment of moonlight.
The appearance of this phantom instantly filled the entire temple with a sacred and tranquil atmosphere.
Li Si felt a warm power surging from all directions, as if he were enveloped in gentle moonlight.
Wherever the phantom's gaze swept, Li Si felt an involuntary urge to kneel down.
This is not out of coercion, but out of a deep inner longing for protection and peace.
Li Si felt a slight tightness in his heart and quickly dispelled the feeling.
Is he truly a deity?
The mere appearance of his avatar had such an impact on him.
He understood everything that was happening before him.
This is the divine incarnation of Fenriya, the moon goddess and guardian deity.
Although this divine incarnation that descends does not possess much power, it is still the consciousness of a god that has descended here.
However, the moon and guardian goddess Fenriya was a relatively familiar elven deity to Li Si. When Li Si was still a bronze-level mage, he had received the deity's blessing for saving a moon spirit leopard.
Although he became a follower of the World Tree, the elven gods were Li Si's natural and staunch allies.
However, Li Si still felt somewhat close to Fenriya, the moon goddess and guardian deity.
But why wasn't it Corellon who appeared?
Li Si knew about the past of the elves and gods.
Whenever the elves target the dark elves, the elven god Corellon is always present.
After all, Lolth's betrayal caused the greatest damage to Corellon.
The entire elven pantheon suffered a severe blow.
This time, it's clear that the Spider Queen Rose is plotting a huge conspiracy.
This time, however, Corelon did not respond proactively.
Li Si had hoped to witness the arrival of this supreme god once again.
On the other side, when Fenrir's avatar appeared, Adela bowed her head and paid her respects.
The same applies to Li Si.
He still paid due respect to a true deity.
Fenriya, with an indifferent expression, nodded slightly at Adela, then smiled and looked at Li Si:
"I never expected that after so many years, another mother would appear."
"Now it seems that your mother's expectations of you were not wrong."
As a being of divine rank, Fenriya was naturally able to see the special characteristics of Li Si's clone.
"Lady Fenriya, you flatter me."
Li Si was somewhat surprised by Fenriya's easygoing nature.
It was as if we were facing not a deity, but a kind elder.
Although Fenriya's clone was exceptionally beautiful, Li Si had no other thoughts.
Li Si was not surprised by Fenriya's way of addressing him.
Fenriya, the moon goddess and guardian deity, was among the first elves born from the World Tree Yggdrasil, and also among the first elves to achieve godhood.
For Fenrir, the World Tree Yggdrasil is her mother.
As a follower of the World Tree, Fenriya naturally became closer to Li Si.
In fact, due to the World Tree, Li Si's relationship with some elven deities might be "closer" than that with the elven sage Adela.
As one of the first Pokémon in the Pokémon pantheon, Fenrir's strength is naturally extraordinary, having survived for such a long period of time.
As the goddess of the moon and guardians, Fenriya's divine duties include the moon, protection, hunting, and secrecy.
As a deity of medium divine power, Fenrir holds a rather prominent position in the elven pantheon.
Fenriya smiled and glanced at Li Si, then looked at Adela and said:
“My beloved, tell me everything you know, especially the part about the dark elves.”
Is Adela a follower of Fenrir?
Li Si looked at Adela with some surprise.
Upon closer examination, this seems to be a fairly normal thing.
Adela is not only a great sage of the elves, but also the leader of the moon elves.
As the goddess of the moon, Fenriya's relationship with the moon elves was naturally extraordinary.
It's not too surprising that Adela became Fenrir's chosen one.
Adela's respect remained unchanged as she reported everything she had learned from Li Si to Fenriya.
During her prayers, Adela had simply informed the elven gods of the matter.
The solemn prayer ceremony just now was actually a prayer to all the gods of the elven pantheon at the same time.
All the gods could hear Adela's prayers, and the decision on how to deal with her was left to Corilon, the chief god of the elves.
Adela would not use such a ritual to disturb the gods and spirits unless it was something important.
Of course, the matter of the Dark Elves and Lolth, the Spider Queen, was of utmost concern to the Elven gods.
"I know, Rose is planning something again, isn't she?"
Fenriya shook her head slightly and sighed, saying:
"Has He not given up after all these millions of years?"
Did Rose, the Spider Queen, give up?
Li Si raised an eyebrow.
This situation is not mentioned in the historical records of the Elven race.
Could it be a secret among the gods?
Li Si did not ask any questions. His purpose in coming here was simple: to call for reinforcements.
The appearance of Fenriya's avatar means that the elven gods will certainly not stand idly by.
That was enough for Li Si.
"The Dark Elves' actions must be Lolth's doing."
Fenriya nodded and looked at Adela, saying:
“Adela, you can use the power of the elves to help Li Si deal with those dark elves.”
"We will also be monitoring the situation there, and if the Spider Queen Rose takes action herself, we will also step in to stop her."
"Yes, Lady Fenriya."
Adela nodded.
This is equivalent to receiving an oracle from the elven gods.
In this situation, Adela could mobilize the power of the Elven race on behalf of the Elven gods.
Even His Majesty the King of the Elf Kingdom could not stop it.
After Fenriya finished speaking, she looked at Li Si and continued:
"Li Si, the information you brought to the Elven race this time is very important to us."
"The elves will always be your friends."
"Is there anything we can help you with?"
Upon hearing this, Li Si was slightly pleased.
There are even other benefits!
Li Si didn't stand on ceremony and quickly figured out what kind of help he wanted.
“Lady Fenriya, deep within the fortress of Donovan lies the artifact, the ‘Pastrum’s Stomach’.”
"If I can steal that artifact, do you have a way to prevent me from being corrupted by the power of the abyss?"
As soon as Li Si finished speaking, he was stared intently at by Fenriya and Adela.
Not
Are you serious?!
