Super Copy of Great Power Technology
Chapter 730 Manned Mars Landing
"I really envy our friends from China. Their science and technology are developing rapidly, and their aerospace technology is advancing at an astonishing pace. They've even started organizing fleets to explore other star systems. Unlike us in Europe, where each country acts independently, bickering with each other every day for short-term gains. Our aerospace technology is stagnant, and we're still struggling with launch vehicles. We can't even build a spaceplane, let alone a spaceship capable of interstellar expeditions."
"Yes, China has had some incredible developments in recent years. Its economy is growing faster and faster, and its technology is becoming more and more advanced. There are space docks, lunar bases, and interstellar expedition fleets. All kinds of cutting-edge technologies are emerging. It's really enviable."
"Isn't there some speculation online that when Chinese astronauts landed on the far side of the moon, they discovered alien ruins and unearthed a lot of advanced scientific and technological data? I don't know if it's true."
"The moon belongs to all mankind, and the relics on the moon belong to everyone. We firmly oppose China secretly excavating extraterrestrial relics and monopolizing them!"
"To be honest, China's development in the last two years has been quite rapid, but not too outrageous. After all, during the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union at the end of the last century, the technological development of both countries was also at a similarly rapid pace. What is truly suspicious is Qiao Ruida and the Ruida Group he founded. More than 80% of the various cutting-edge technology products that China has put forward come from this company. These include carbon-based chips, lithium-air batteries, holographic projectors, flying cars, controlled nuclear fusion, spaceplanes, spaceships, space docks, and so on."
"You don't know until you calculate it, and then you're shocked. In just two years, this Ruida Group has launched so many cutting-edge technology products. Some of these products and technologies have had a huge impact, even fundamentally changing the landscape of certain industries and our lifestyles. In this light, this Ruida Group does indeed have serious problems. The founder, Qiao Ruida, may have obtained alien technology. I suggest a thorough investigation."
"Is it possible that this Joridah is simply exceptionally intelligent, a genius, which is why he was able to invent so many advanced products and technologies in just two or three years? In human history, there have been genius scientists similar to Joridah. Leonardo da Vinci during the Renaissance, and Newton, Einstein, and Tesla in modern times, were all geniuses of similar stature who single-handedly developed a large number of advanced technologies and products, which to a certain extent promoted the progress of human science and technology."
"I was Qiao Ruida's high school classmate, and I can attest that Qiao Ruida is an absolute genius, one in a century. You know, in his first and second years of high school, Qiao Ruida could easily rank in the top ten of his class with just a little effort. In his senior year, with a little effort, he could top the mock exams. Finally, when he took the college entrance exam, Qiao Ruida achieved an absolute high score of 736, becoming the top science student in our province. I have no doubt that such a prodigy could develop any high technology."
……
News of a Chinese expeditionary fleet discovering alien spaceship wreckage sparked a heated debate online and in the virtual world, with various rumors circulating and attracting widespread attention and participation. However, the discussion gradually veered off course, eventually falling into conspiracy theories that fascinated the public. Among these, the rumor that China had obtained extraterrestrial technological data from the far side of the moon was the most widespread and believed. This was especially true given China's rapid technological advancements over the past two years, leaving other countries far behind – something that seemed far beyond the reach of scientific researchers.
As the source of a host of cutting-edge technologies, the Rida Group, or rather Qiao Rida himself, has become the focus of discussion among netizens both at home and abroad. However, recently, Qiao Rida has been busy with Mars landing and development projects and simply hasn't had time to follow online news.
Among the eight planets in our solar system, Mars is relatively small in size and mass, but it is the closest planet to Earth, ranging from a minimum distance of 5500 million kilometers to a maximum of 4 million kilometers, making it relatively easy to develop. Like Earth, Mars is a rocky planet located within the habitable zone of the solar system. Its average surface temperature is around -63°C, and it has a thin atmosphere, making its surface environment relatively mild. With some protective measures, humans could live and work on it. Furthermore, Mars contains abundant mineral deposits of various types and in vast quantities. Its reddish appearance is due to the high levels of ferrous oxide in its surface soil. Considering all these factors, developing Mars as a habitable planet, a second home for humanity, would be extremely difficult, require enormous investment, and be unprofitable. However, developing it as a mining planet and industrial base would be perfectly feasible.
With the rapid advancement of aerospace technology and the discovery of interstellar channels, the scope of human exploration and development will continue to expand, gradually covering the entire solar system and neighboring star systems. Correspondingly, the demand for various types of spacecraft as interstellar transportation will increase significantly. Furthermore, the discovery of alien spacecraft wreckage amplifies the possibility of interstellar war with unknown civilizations, necessitating the construction of a large number of space warships. Currently, the production capacity of China's two space docks is far from meeting the demand for spacecraft and space warships. Even if the space docks are further expanded, while production capacity increases, the supply of raw materials cannot keep up. Currently, the various ores used by the two space docks mostly come from the Moon and the asteroid belt, with a small portion from Earth. Maintaining current production capacity is not a problem, but further increases in production are beyond our capabilities.
Next, the China National Space Administration and Ruida Aerospace Company plan to build a third, fourth, or even more space docks. They have discussed site selection, and ultimately, their focus has shifted to Mars. Analysis of existing Mars exploration data suggests that Mars is essentially a giant mining field; most of the minerals found on Earth can also be found on Mars. Moreover, Martian mineral deposits have not been developed, with numerous rich open-pit mines, making development relatively simple and cost-effective. Furthermore, Mars is closer to the asteroid belt; if a space dock is built in Mars geostationary orbit, space mining spacecraft can operate and deliver resources nearby, significantly increasing extraction efficiency.
To develop Martian mineral resources and build new spaceports near Mars, a manned mission to Mars has become essential. This manned Mars mission is a joint effort between the China National Space Administration and Ruida Space Company. Each company is contributing two small landing ships and five astronauts to form an advance fleet, which will depart immediately for Mars. (End of Chapter)
