Super Copy of Great Power Technology

Chapter 770 Active Preparations

“I watched the video. The visuals are very detailed and look very real, but it doesn’t make any sense in theory. You have to understand that the closest star system to the Sun is Proxima Centauri, which is 4.2 light-years away. No matter how fast a spaceship travels, it can hardly reach one percent of the speed of light. Even if the alien fleet in the video is real, it would be hundreds of years before they reach Earth.”

"It's obvious that the person upstairs doesn't watch the news often. Several years ago, the China National Space Administration announced the discovery of a star channel connecting neighboring star systems, which could significantly shorten space travel time. If the alien fleet in the video also has access to a star channel leading to the solar system, reaching the solar system and Earth wouldn't take hundreds of years at all, just a few years or even a few months."

"I just want to know, in which galaxy were these alien spaceships photographed? Proxima Centauri, Barnard's Galaxy, or the even more distant Ladland Galaxy?"

"I'll let you in on a secret: these aliens and their spaceships come from the Sirius system. I heard that their home planet's magnetic field disappeared and the environment deteriorated rapidly, so these aliens had to flee their home and seek refuge in the solar system."

"If these aliens came from Sirius, it wouldn't be surprising. In fact, many ancient ruins on Earth contain records related to Sirius. Some archaeologists even speculate that Sirius people visited Earth in ancient times and left behind some megalithic remains."

……

While online discussions are rife, in reality, countries around the world are actively preparing for war, with various new types of space weapons and space warships being finalized and mass-produced. One after another, space warships, having just rolled off the production line and completed their test flights, are immediately put into service, loaded with ammunition and supplies, and heading towards the edge of the solar system to be on the front lines of resisting alien invasion.

To ensure final victory in this battle to defend the solar system, Joridar risked exposure by secretly activating his cheat-like abilities to replicate several Star Destroyers, ships previously only seen in science fiction movies. These behemoths, each tens of kilometers long, were equipped with massively powerful main cannons capable of blasting through the Earth with a single shot. In addition, they possessed numerous secondary and auxiliary cannons of slightly lesser power, and carried thousands of carrier-based space fighters. A single Star Destroyer could form an independent army with full combat capability. With these Star Destroyers anchoring the solar system, no matter how many Sirius ships attacked, they would be easy prey.

A year has passed in the blink of an eye, and the Sirius vanguard fleet is still nowhere to be seen. However, humanity's combat preparations have reached their peak. Thousands of space warships have been assembled at the entrance to the Sirius system's star portal alone, including two colossal star destroyers. These warships have formed a three-dimensional battle formation, virtually sealing off all space and direction near the entrance. Once the Sirius warships cross the star portal and appear within the solar system, they will immediately be subjected to a saturation attack from all directions. This includes missiles, kinetic energy projectiles, lasers, particle beam weapons, high-power microwave weapons, and more—a comprehensive, all-encompassing attack to ensure the alien warships never return.

This is only the first line of defense against the Sirius fleet. A little further away, roughly near Neptune's orbit, lies a second line of defense, also comprised of thousands of spaceships of varying sizes. If the Sirius fleet proves too powerful and its firepower too overwhelming, breaching the first line, the second line will immediately activate to intercept and attack the enemy ships. The goal is to eliminate the enemy at the edge of the solar system and ensure the safety of humanity's rear, especially its home planet, Earth.

It's often said that war is a catalyst for technological advancement, and in the year that humanity has been actively preparing for war, space technology has made leaps and bounds. The artificial black hole reactor technology, derived from the Naga spacecraft, has been successfully replicated, is maturing, and has begun shipboard testing. This entirely new energy technology can convert all matter into energy, propelling spacecraft on interstellar journeys. Compared to the controlled nuclear fusion energy widely used in current human spacecraft, it is cleaner, more efficient, and more convenient; fuel is readily available, and operation is safe and radiation-free, making it the optimal energy core for next-generation spacecraft and space warships.

Significant progress has been made in the research and utilization of gravitational waves. Scientists can now control the magnitude of gravity, or gravitational force, over a much wider range, from zero gravity to hundreds of times the normal gravity. Furthermore, miniaturization of gravity control systems has been achieved; devices previously the size of shipping containers can now be as small as backpacks. This has greatly expanded the application scope of gravity control devices, bringing to life devices such as gravity chambers, anti-gravity flying cars, and anti-gravity skateboards seen in science fiction. One scientist has even developed a groundbreaking space weapon: a gravity projectile. This projectile can be fired from either conventional naval guns or electromagnetic railguns. Upon impact with an enemy spaceship, it triggers an internal mechanism, instantly unleashing hundreds of times the normal gravity, impacting the surrounding airspace. If the enemy warship's structure is not robust enough, it will quickly be torn to shreds by the super-gravity field.

There are many similar technological breakthroughs, covering materials science, mathematics, computer science, communications, navigation, propulsion, weaponry, and many other fields. Once successfully developed, these advanced technologies will undoubtedly be applied to space warships and space weapons to better hunt down alien spacecraft and protect the solar system. As the technology matures further and costs decrease significantly, these advanced technologies will gradually be disseminated and applied to people's daily lives, subtly changing people's lifestyles and living environment.

While humanity actively prepared for war, the development of the Proxima Centauri system never ceased. In the past year, the Human Alliance organized two fleets that crossed the Star Stream Channel to launch expeditions to the Proxima Centauri system. These two fleets brought with them a large amount of supplies, machinery, and equipment, as well as nearly 100,000 humans and a large number of plant seeds and animal cubs.

Human society has now entered the interstellar age. As humanity's exploration continues, the threats from interstellar space will increase. Concentrating the entire population on a small Earth is simply too dangerous. Only by bravely venturing out, beyond Earth and the solar system, can humanity become a true interstellar race. This large-scale migration to the Proxima Centauri system is not only to expand humanity's living space but also to share the risks and preserve a spark of humanity. (End of Chapter)
