Master Jingchen’s meaning is actually very easy to understand.

To put it simply, if you want to kill a poisonous snake, you must lure it out of its hole.

If you are in a state of emptiness, you will not be able to find the location of your inner demons at all.

Even if Master Jingchen has thousands of magic skills, she cannot eliminate the inner demons that cannot be discovered.

This sentence itself is nothing.

Master Jingchen once again recited the Heart Sutra, "When Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva practiced deep Prajnaparamita, he saw that the five aggregates were empty and transcended all suffering..."

However, when he heard the second sentence, he seemed a little dazed, as if he was in a daze.

That kind of confusion makes people feel as if they have returned to chaos, as if they are still in the mother's womb.

I also forgot the purpose of my existence in this world.

It seemed that everything in the world no longer had anything to do with him.

Where you come from, where you are going, what your past was like, and what your future will be like no longer matter.

For some reason, my ears were filled with the sound of Sanskrit.

Chen Yun had an instinctive feeling that he was about to attain nirvana amidst these waves of Sanskrit sounds.

Extinction and Nirvana mean the same thing, except that one is a Sanskrit sound and the other is a translated word.

The Hinayana Buddhism explains "Nirvana" as "the extinguishing of the body and wisdom, the abandonment of form and the cessation of thoughts", meaning that the body and mind are both annihilated and everything exists, which is a state of silence that is opposite to the cycle of life and death.

Theravada Buddhism divides Nirvana into two types, namely, Nirvana with remainder and Nirvana without remainder.

Nirvana with remainder means that all sentient beings have eliminated their afflictions and desires, and their spirits have entered the state of Nirvana, but their bodies still exist and have not yet died.

Nirvana means that both the spirit and body of all living beings have died, and they have completely escaped from the cycle of life and death.

Mahayana Buddhism partially accepts the concepts of Nirvana with remainder and Nirvana without remainder, but in order to adapt to the doctrines of this sect, its interpretation is not exactly the same as that of Hinayana.

The Mahayana Madhyamaka school advocates that "all dharmas are empty in nature" and that nirvana is just a false name and not a real existence.

The Mahayana Tathagatagarbha doctrine believes that "Nirvana" is permanent and unchanging because Buddha nature is an absolutely real existence.

Chen Yun felt that his current state was more like the "eternal and indestructible" nirvana described in the Mahayana Tathagatagarbha school.

It’s as if I’m going to have a sudden enlightenment and achieve Buddhahood in one day!

However, Chen Yun was surprised to find that the plants around him seemed to be nourished by some unknown force and all became bright and dazzling.

The Master Jingchen in front of him looked even more horrified!
Chen Yun didn't understand what was going on. He looked at Master Jingchen with some confusion and asked, "Master, what happened just now?"

"Ah? Oh oh oh." Master Jingchen was awakened, looked over with some doubt, and said in an unbelievable tone: "Brother Chen, you almost achieved the true body of Tathagata just now."

Chen Yun was startled, and asked in confusion: "I almost achieved the true body of Tathagata?"

Tathagata is transliterated as Doda Agada, one of the ten titles of Buddha.

The word Tathagata has two meanings: relying on the true way and through hard work, constantly accumulating good causes, and finally becoming a Buddha, so it is called Tathagata, which means the true body of Tathagata; by introducing the true way, sentient beings can increase wisdom, eliminate troubles, and gain benefits, so it is called Tathagata, which means the response body of Tathagata.

Nun Jingchen's eyes were still filled with doubt and astonishment. "Yes, you almost achieved the true body of Tathagata just now."

Chen Yun laughed dumbly and said, "How could I, a Taoist priest of the authentic Xuanmen sect, attain the true body of Tathagata in your Buddhism?" Speaking of this, Master Jingchen also seemed very puzzled, "Yes, Taoist friend, how could a Taoist priest attain the true body of Tathagata in my Buddhism? Could it be..."

She began to guess cautiously, "Fellow Daoist Chen, you were a great Buddhist in your previous life. Now you have been reincarnated and your wisdom has been obscured. I chanted the Heart Sutra to awaken your true self, and you almost achieved the true body of Tathagata?"

If others say that their past wisdom was obscured and their true self was awakened, then that is more likely.

Chen Yun was very clear about his own situation.

When you come into this world, you already have innate wisdom.

He was just an ordinary person in his previous life, not a great Buddhist figure at all.

Therefore, there is no such thing as obscuration of past wisdom and thus awakening of the true self.

Of course, this possibility exists.

For example, if one was a great Buddhist figure in previous lives and has not yet recovered his wisdom, then it is understandable that the situation just now occurred.

But this possibility is very small.

Because according to the Buddhist practice method, the awakening of past wisdom will not only be in one life, but the past wisdom of every previous life will be awakened.

I now have the wisdom from my previous life, but I don’t have the wisdom from previous lives. Isn’t that a mismatch?

Since this possibility is not very high, then how could I, an authentic Taoist priest of the Xuanmen sect, almost attain the true body of Buddhism, Tathagata?
Chen Yun sat there thinking hard, trying to find the real answer.

Master Jingchen was also thinking about it, but suddenly she thought of something.

She asked tentatively, "Fellow Daoist Chen, have you ever practiced my Buddhist teachings?"

Chen Yun suddenly realized, "I have practiced Buddhism. I once went to Mount Vulture Peak and met Sakyamuni Buddha. He taught me a great Buddhist method."

"Ah?" Master Jingchen was too surprised, "You have actually seen the Buddha Tathagata?"

Chen Yun nodded slightly and said, "Yes."

Master Jingchen looked incredulous, yet envious, "Fellow Daoist, you are so lucky that even the Buddha has seen you."

Chen Yun smiled and didn't respond.

I have seen more than just Sakyamuni Buddha.

Even the current Emperor Ziwei has seen it.

He was even fortunate enough to meet Laozi, one of the incarnations of Taishang Laojun.

Nun Jingchen asked again, "May I ask, fellow Taoist, what Buddhist teachings did the Buddha impart to you?"

Chen Yun told the truth: "A golden body of 10 feet tall."

Nun Jingchen's eyes widened. "Six feet tall golden body?"

Chen Yun said: "Yes."

Master Jingchen exhaled and said, "My Buddha has three bodies, namely the Dharma body, the reward body and the response body, also known as the self-nature body, the enjoyment body and the transformation body. The six-foot-tall golden body is the small body among the transformation bodies. If you practice this great Dharma, then it is natural that you almost became a Buddha just now."

Chen Yun didn't know much about the Buddhist practice system, so he asked curiously, "Can you explain it in detail, Master?"

Nun Jingchen did not answer the question directly, but asked: "Daoyou, what level have you reached in your cultivation of the six-foot-tall golden body?"

Chen Yun knew that the other party's question must have some important meaning.

He said, "I can't tell you what level it is. How about I show you how to do it?"

Nun Jingchen quickly stood up and put her hands together and said, "Namo Amitabha, please show your golden body."

Chen Yun said nothing more and activated the secret method of the Six-foot-tall Golden Body.

A violent thunder exploded from Chen Yun's body.

Immediately, Master Jingchen saw a golden light suddenly shining and spreading.

The golden light shot up into the sky, and suddenly a holy statue rose up.

This holy elephant is covered in golden light as dazzling as the blazing sun. It has eighteen hands and twenty-four heads, holding a garland, an umbrella, a flower string, a fish intestine, a golden bow, a silver halberd, a blessed pestle, a precious file, and a golden bottle. It is sixteen feet tall, and its golden light is as bright as the blazing sun standing in the sky in June!
The moment it appeared, a sacred and inviolable aura suddenly spread across the air, making people want to worship it and feel a sense of awe.

At this time, Chen Yun looked haggard, as if his body had been drained dry.

However, at the top of his door, the golden light turned into golden lotuses and rolled up into Qingyun, and a six-foot-tall holy statue was sitting in it.

Moreover, small white and sacred flowers the size of a thumb are scattered around the icon.

The sky is full of flowers and golden lotuses appear!
Nun Jingchen was stunned by what she saw, and said in astonishment: "The six-foot-tall golden body! It really is the six-foot-tall golden body, one of the three bodies of Buddha!"

Seeing that Master Jingchen had already seen it, Chen Yun took the initiative to ask, "So, can I put away my six-foot-tall golden body?"

Master Jingchen's eyes turned into awe, "Yes, of course."

Chen Yun said nothing more and put away the six-foot-tall golden statue.

His body suddenly became fuller and returned to its original shape.

Chen Yun asked, "Master, what realm do you think my six-foot-tall golden body has reached?"

Master Jingchen smiled bitterly and said, "We are only one step away from perfection."

Oh, just one step away from perfection.

Although Chen Yun had made this judgment before, he was not sure.

Now, after hearing what Master Jingchen said, he realized that he had already cultivated his six-foot-tall golden body to a very high level.

Master Jingchen sighed and said, "I finally understand why you almost achieved the true body of Tathagata just now."

Chen Yun said: "Please teach me, Master."

Master Jingchen said, "The Buddha has three bodies, thirty-two response bodies, and thousands of incarnations. In fact, they all lead to the same goal. That is, the principle and law gather to form the Dharma body, the wisdom and law gather to form the reward body, and the merit and virtue gather to form the response body. Because one Buddha has the merit and virtue of the three bodies, the three bodies are one Buddha. This transformation body is the Dharma body, which is the result of the principle and law. The Dharma body of Sakyamuni Buddha is Vairocana, and the reward body of Sakyamuni Buddha is immeasurably beautiful and solemn, that is, Vairocana Buddha. Sakyamuni Buddha is the response body, which responds to the needs of sentient beings and displays the Buddha's body in response to the needs of sentient beings. Since fellow Taoist Chen has cultivated his six-foot golden body to a state close to perfection, he is indeed only one step away from becoming a Dharma body Buddha like Vairocana Buddha, and from then on he will live as long as the heaven and earth and will be eternal and immortal. It's a pity that my power was not enough to maintain it, and I failed to fully awaken your true self, otherwise you would have become a Buddha."

Uh……

As long as you had enough magical power just now, I would have become a Buddha now?

Chen Yun felt a little regretful, but also a little amused.

Since one possesses the "Daluo Ling Tang", he certainly does not want to become a Buddha.

After all, if you practice inner alchemy unswervingly and combine it with the "Daluo Lingtang", you will achieve greater success in the future.

The Buddha lives as long as heaven and earth, which is indeed extremely supreme.

But the world will be destroyed one day.

Without attaining Daluo, one can never truly transcend.

Chen Yun naturally wanted to truly transcend, so achieving Daluo was the most correct choice.

So although I feel a little regretful, I don’t regret it too much, because it’s my own fault for not taking this path.

He was thinking about something.

Master Jingchen thought that Chen Yun was so disappointed that he remained silent.

She took the initiative to speak to comfort him, "Fellow Daoist Chen, don't be upset. Since your six-foot-tall golden body is already extremely close to perfection, as long as you work hard to practice my Buddhist Dharma, it may not take long before you can achieve nirvana again and truly realize the true body of Tathagata."

Chen Yun smiled carefreely, "Whether I can achieve the state of the true body of Tathagata is not important to me. If the opportunity comes, I will be able to achieve the Tao by eating and drinking. But if the opportunity is not enough, I will not be able to get the Tao fruit even if it is right in front of me. It is just right to be calm."

Nun Jingchen praised him and said, "Your understanding is beyond the reach of ordinary people. No wonder you almost achieved Tathagata. Although you did not achieve Tathagata this time, the sublimation of that realm must have made you feel deeply. If you can comprehend it carefully later, I dare not say anything else, but at least it will drive away the demons in your heart and allow you to cultivate to the immortal realm without any obstacles. I think it is certain. The premise is that you are willing to carefully comprehend the superb understanding of the sublimation of that realm."

Chen Yun was stunned. "Master, do you mean that even if my Dao Heart is not completely restored, I can still enter the Earthly Immortal Realm?"

Master Jingchen smiled, "You have almost achieved the true body of Tathagata, so shouldn't your broken Dao heart have been repaired long ago? The Earthly Immortal Realm is not your end, but... just the beginning!"
