Taoist Myth: I am the last true immortal in the world
Chapter 665 Taishang Laojun
Chapter 665 Taishang Laojun
A complete single world, including the Dharma World, the World Beyond Heaven, the Haotian World, the Dongtian World, the Mortal World and the Netherworld.
Because the Dharma World, the World Beyond Heaven, the Haotian World, the Dongtian World and the Netherworld are somewhat special, the myriad worlds that we usually talk about often refer to the mortal world, but this does not mean that there are no other five worlds in a complete world.
In fact, every single world has the Dharma World, the World Beyond Heaven, the Haotian World, the Dongtian World and the Netherworld, but these five realms are not as "infinitely layered" as the mortal world.
For example, the Dharmadhatu world is the highest dimension of a complete single world.
According to mythology, Yuanshi Tianzun lived in the Dharma World before he incarnated as Pangu to create the world.
So, what exactly is the Dharma world?
The Dharmadhatu world is actually the chaotic part included in a single world.
This place is closest to the Tao. There is neither the existence of time nor any so-called traces of space.
You can say it is "empty" or you can say it really exists.
The second is the world beyond the heavens, which is surrounded by the world of Dharma.
This is the world where the Three Pure Ones live, located below the Dharmakāya world.
There are countless spaces, times, and dimensions in the world outside the universe.
They are mixed together, all transformed by the Great Dao.
The legendary Yuqing Realm, Shangqing Realm and Taiqing Realm are all located here.
In short, the highest level of the Thirty-Six Heavens, Daluo Heaven, is actually the Dharma World, the Three Pure Heavens are the world beyond the heaven, and the remaining thirty-two heavens are the Haotian World.
The mortal world does not belong to any part of the thirty-six heavens.
The Dongtian World can be said to have some origins and connections with the Haotian World.
It can lead to the Haotian world, but it is not included in it.
At the same time, it connects to the mortal world.
As for the netherworld, it is commonly known as the underworld.
It is somewhat similar to the Dharmadhatu world, but is directly connected to the mundane world.
Because of this, although there is a world outside the heavens and all worlds, in fact, the world outside the heavens is the only one in the entire complete world.
The same is true for the Dharma World, the Haotian World, the Dongtian World and the Netherworld.
Only the mortal world is not unique.
In other words, the five realms you see in the parallel world are exactly the same as those you see in your own world.
The God of Nothingness that Chen Yun is looking for is in the world outside the sky.
Since the world outside the sky is the Three Pure Realms, he certainly cannot go there casually and needs to report it first.
After leaving Penglai Fairyland, Chen Yun returned to Damen Peak of Qingcheng Mountain, bathed, changed clothes, paid homage to the Three Pure Ones, burned incense and reported his request to go to the world beyond the sky.
After getting permission, he traveled through the thirty-two heavens and arrived at Taiqing Heaven among the Three Pure Heavens.
Taiqing Heaven, also known as Dachi Heaven, Lihen Heaven, and Huochi Heaven, is located in the 33rd heaven and is the dojo of the Lord of Daode.
The Lord of Dao and Morality is Laozi.
Chen Yun had come here once when he followed his mentor to pay a visit to Zhang Tianshi.
The place where Taishang Laojun lives is called Bajing Palace, also known as Xuandu Zifu, and it is not the "Tushita Palace" described in "Journey to the West".
Chen Yun came here to look for treasure, so naturally he would not go to the Bajing Palace.
Under the guidance of the Taiqing Tianxian official, he came to the intersection with the Dharma world.
Here, traces of chaos can be vaguely seen.
It is in stark contrast to the ethereal music and fragrant incense of the Taiqing Heavenly Fairy.
Chen Yun was just about to search around to see if there was any Void God Ganoderma.
Suddenly, a mythical beast the size of a rhinoceros and looking a bit like a green bull slowly emerged from the chaos.
Chen Yun looked closely and saw that there was no one on the back of the flat-horned green bull.
However, he knew that the flat-horned green ox that appeared here must be the mount of Taishang Laojun, that is, the ancient auspicious beast "Si".
In ancient times, "Si" was interpreted as a rhinoceros, but Taishang Laojun's mount was not a rhinoceros, but a auspicious beast.
Although it is only Laojun's mount, it has a very high status in Taoism.
Chen Yun was preparing to bow.
Suddenly, the blue ox with flat horns seemed to break through layers of space and time and appeared in front of Chen Yun.
Not only that, on the empty back of the ox, a nine-foot-tall god suddenly appeared, wearing a five-colored cloud robe, a crown on his head, and holding a precious fan.
This deity has white hair and beard, kind eyes, and a halo on his head, giving people a feeling like a spring breeze.
Chen Yun knew immediately when he saw it that it must be the Jade Emperor who appeared.
He immediately knelt on the ground, bowed three times and kowtowed nine times, saying: "I am Chen Pu, a disciple of Zhenren Zhengyang from the Ningyang Cave in Zhongnan Mountain. I pay my respects to the Grandmaster Taiqing."
The blue ox stopped in front of Chen Yun.
The Taishang Laojun, who was sitting on the ox's back, said kindly, "Please stand up."
After hearing this, Chen Yun dared to stand up and stood aside awkwardly.
To be honest, he really didn't expect that he would meet Laojun when he came here today, which made him a little excited.
Taishang Laojun is one of the most supreme gods in Taoist mythology.
Ge Xuan's "Preface to Laozi's Tao Te Ching" states: "Lao is the title of the head of the place, Jun is the title of the ancestor of the monarch. As Laojun is in heaven and on earth, his experience is endless. He was born billions of kalpas ago, and lived for billions of kalpas later. He is worshipped every day and passed down from emperor to emperor, so he was given the title of Taishang Laojun".
Du Guangting's Annotations to the Book of the Supreme Lord Laojun on the Scripture of Eternal Purity and Tranquility states: "Tai means great. Shang means respected. There is no one higher than the Supreme Lord Laojun, and all saints respect him. That is why he is called the Supreme Lord Laojun. Lao means longevity. It is clear that Laojun cultivated heaven and earth, so he naturally lived a long life, so he is called Lao. Jun is a title of respect. His Tao is pure and his virtue is extremely high, so he is called Jun. It is clear that Laojun is the ancestor of all saints and the ancestor of true gods. All things are created by Laojun, so he is the ancestor of the clan."
Taishang Laojun means the supreme deity who is supreme, before heaven and earth, and beyond life and death.
It is stated in "Yunji Qi Qian" that the Tao is Laojun, and Laojun is the manifestation of the Tao.
Therefore, Tao and Laojun are not two independent categories and therefore cannot be discussed separately.
Therefore, Laojun also possesses the attributes of the Tao that can be perceived by humans.
"Yunji Qi Qian" states that Laojun "arised from no cause", was "natural", and was "ineffable", and that Laojun was one with the Tao.
Laojun is the physical manifestation of the Tao. When it gathers into a shape, it becomes Laojun, and when it disperses, it becomes Qi.
Therefore, the rotation of the Great Dao is also the rotation of Laojun;
The Great Way nurtures the heaven and earth, and in the same way Laojun nurtures the heaven and earth.
But the pure Tao itself cannot be seen, heard, or touched, so it manifests itself as the tangible Laojun to broadcast its teachings.
It is because Laojun is the manifestation of the Great Way.
Therefore, even though Chen Yun was in such a state of mind, he couldn't help but feel very excited when he saw the real person for the first time.
The old man rode on the ox's back and did not get off. Instead, he said with a kind look, "Did you come to Taiqing Heaven for the God of Nothingness?"
Chen Yun knew that Laojun was omniscient and knew everything, so he said without hiding anything: "My disciple wants to make a spiritual soup recently, but he is still lacking two spiritual roots of heaven and earth. One of them is the God of Nothingness, which happens to be at the junction of the outer world and chaos. Therefore, my disciple dares to come to Taiqing Heaven to look for it." Laojun smiled and said: "The God of Nothingness is easy to find. Look, isn't it there?"
As he spoke, he stretched out his treasured fan and pointed casually.
Chen Yun looked in the direction the treasure fan pointed.
As expected, I sensed the presence of an invisible divine ganoderma.
He was about to say something.
Laojun Treasure Fan waved lightly, and the Void God Zhi automatically flew over and hovered in front of Chen Yun, "Take it."
Chen Yun quickly said, "Thank you, Grandmaster Taiqing."
After saying this, he carefully put away the God of Nothingness.
Laojun looked at Chen Yun's face for a moment and said something very strange, "You shouldn't have this wisdom."
what?
Shouldn't I have this wisdom?
Chen Yun didn't understand the meaning of this sentence.

One's wisdom comes from experiences in past and present lives.
He believed that Laojun, as the manifestation of the Great Dao, must know that he was a reincarnated person who had not forgotten the memories of his past life.
There is no secret at all about this matter in front of Master Taiqing.
Chen Yun even had enough reasons to believe that he possessed the "Daluo Lingtang" and Laojun knew it very well.
Therefore, what Laojun meant by this sentence is definitely not as simple as saying that he has reincarnated and brought his wisdom with him.
Chen Yun pondered over it, but still couldn't understand what the "wisdom" Laojun was talking about.
He asked cautiously: "Grandmaster, what is wisdom?"
Laojun showed an unfathomable smile, "Interesting, interesting."
Chen Yun looked at Laojun's expression and became more and more confused.
Just as he was puzzled, Laojun said softly: "Have you heard the story of the two ghosts fighting Jing Ke?"
Chen Yun responded, "I have heard that Yang Jiaoai and Zuo Botao were friends of life and death. They hit it off right away and became brothers. They wanted to go to the capital of King Chu Yuan to serve the country. Halfway through the journey, it was snowing heavily. The two had thin clothes and insufficient food, so only one of them could travel alone. In order to ensure that Yang Jiaoai could reach the capital of King Chu Yuan smoothly, Zuo Botao voluntarily took off all his clothes and froze to death. Later, Yang Jiaoai finally arrived at the capital and was valued by King Chu Yuan. Who would have thought that one night he dreamed of Zuo Botao crying and complaining that he was bullied by Jing Ke in the underworld. Yang Jiaoai was unwilling to see his brother being bullied, so he committed suicide and went to the underworld to fight Jing Ke side by side with Zuo Botao. That night, there was a heavy storm, thunder and lightning, and the sound of shouting and killing could be heard for dozens of miles. In the morning, someone came to the side of the tomb and saw that Jing Ke's tomb was shaking like hair. Therefore, the story of the two ghosts fighting Jing Ke was left behind."
"Yes, that's the story." Laojun nodded slightly, "Then you know, this story is made up by people, it's not true."
Chen Yun said: "I know. This story comes from the seventh volume of Feng Menglong's "Stories to Enlighten the World" in the Ming Dynasty. It is called "Yang Jiaoai Sacrifices His Life to Keep His Friendship"."
Laojun said something inexplicable again, "Then do you think that Yang Jiaoai and Zuo Botao in the story know that they are the characters in the story?"
Chen Yun laughed and said, "People in the story have no consciousness, so how can they know that they are the people in the story?"
Lao Jun asked in return: "How do you know they have no consciousness?"
Chen Yun originally wanted to say how it was possible for the people in the story to be conscious.
But on second thought, this is a Taoist mythological world, what could be impossible?
He was speechless and couldn't answer.
Laojun changed the subject and said, "Many things, if you think they are true, then they are true. If you think they are false, then they will never become true. The same is true for cultivation. The truth and falsehood are all in your own mind. If you think cultivation is true, you can also gain enlightenment by observing a flower or a grass. If you think cultivation is false, even if I give you the 'Daluo Lingtang', it is nothing but an illusion."
know!
Laojun really knew that he possessed the "Daluo Ling Tang"!
Although Chen Yun had guessed it long ago, he still couldn't help but be shocked when he heard Laojun say it with his own ears.
In addition, after chatting with Laojun for so many sentences, he finally realized that the other party was not telling him a story, but talking about cultivation.
Patriarch Taiqing personally talks about cultivation, but ordinary people do not have the blessing to listen.
Chen Yun finally came across this opportunity, how could he let it go?
He quickly asked respectfully, "May I ask if the 'heart' in the master's words is my will?"
Lao Jun did not answer this question directly, but said lightly: "The heart is the heart, you can regard it as your great way. If you can clear away the clouds and mist, you will surely be able to realize the great way."
Chen Yun still didn't understand and was about to ask for more advice.
Laojun continued, "People only last for a few decades, like passing clouds and smoke. When they disappear, maybe someone will still remember them within one or two generations, but no one will remember them after a long time. When all traces of their existence have completely disappeared, do you think they still existed?"
Chen Yun was stunned. "Of course it existed."
Laojun asked: "How to prove it?"
Chen Yun smiled bitterly and said, "It cannot be proved."
If all traces of existence have completely vanished, how can we prove that it existed?
Lao Jun said: "Will, or the so-called spirit, can last forever in the world."
Hearing this, Chen Yun vaguely understood, "What the Grandmaster meant is..."
"Don't ask me, ask yourself."
Laojun shook his head, slapped the head of the horned green ox and left without answering any more questions.
Chen Yun did not dare to ask any further questions, so he could only kowtow three times and nine times and watch Laojun leave.
Wait until Laojun and Qingniu disappear.
Chen Yun stood there and carefully thought about the conversation just now.
He only had a vague understanding of what Laojun said to him and did not grasp the essence of it.
Chen Yun knew that Laojun was the manifestation of the Great Dao, and every word he said must be filled with extremely profound meanings.
The reason why I couldn't figure it out was most likely because my cultivation level was too low.
"Perhaps when my cultivation level reaches a higher level in the future, I will be able to understand the meaning of these words."
Chen Yun did not feel discouraged and a smile appeared on his face.
He originally thought that he would have to search for a long time in the outer world before he could possibly obtain the Divine Ganoderma of Nothingness.
Unexpectedly, he met Laojun by chance, and he was given the magic ganoderma directly.
Yes, Chen Yun did not believe that there was any divine fungus in the place where the divine fungus grew just now.
He had already reached the immortal realm, so it was impossible for him not to sense the divine fungus at such a close distance.
So there is only one possibility, that there is no sacred fungus around here.
The reason why it suddenly appeared was because Laojun "transformed" it.
Laojun is the Tao. Let alone creating a divine ganoderma of nothingness, even if he could create the 108 spiritual roots of heaven and earth required for the "Daluo Lingtang" it would not be surprising.
Chen Yun understood these principles, so he didn't worry about anything.
As for what Laojun had just said, Chen Yun couldn't figure it out for the time being, and he didn't dwell on it too much.
He now had some idea in his mind. He had originally planned to go to the Abyss Demon Realm if he could obtain the God of Nothingness, but not go there if he couldn't.
According to normal development, if he had not met Laojun, he would most likely not have been able to obtain the Divine Ganoderma of Nothingness, so he should not have gone to the Abyss Demon Realm to collect the Four Symbols Fruit of Tongtian.
However, Laojun is the Great Dao, and he gave the Divine Ganoderma of Nothingness, which meant that his "destiny" had been changed. He could go to the Abyss Demon Realm to see if he could obtain the Four Symbols Fruit of Tongtian.
Okay, then let’s go to the Abyss Demon Realm to collect the Soul Refining and Returning to Emptiness Soup!
