Therefore, Volume 3 of Yunji Qiqian also says: "Yuchen Daojun is the incarnation of the Great Dao. It is said that what exists cannot be welcomed, and that what does not exist no longer exists in the vagueness. Therefore, it exists without existence and does not exist without non-existence. It has no image when seen and no sound when heard. Between the wonderful existence and the wonderful non-existence, the Great Dao exists. Daojun examines the origin of the Dao and penetrates the origin of the Dao. He is the Qi of the Dao."

The Yunji Qiqian quoted Ge Xuan's Preface to the Five Thousand Words Sutra as saying: "Laojun's body is natural. He was born before the Great Nothingness, and he started from no cause. He experienced the heaven and earth, and his beginning and end cannot be measured. He is infinite and his limit is infinite. He is transformed with the Great Dao, and he establishes the roots for the heaven and earth. He spreads his energy to all directions. He holds the purest morality, and his power is so great that it cannot be named."

It is stated very clearly here that Lingbao Tianzun and Taishang Laojun are the manifestation of the Great Dao; they themselves are the Great Dao.

Of course, above "being in harmony with the Tao", there is a higher realm.

Chen Yun once heard Lu Dongbin say that there was a Daluo who transcended the Great Dao.

For example, Yuanshi Tianzun is very likely to have surpassed the Tao.
