Taoist Myth: I am the last true immortal in the world
Chapter 876 Singularity
Chapter 876 Singularity
Quiet room.
Chen Yun closed his eyes and continued to unravel the mystery.
He is doing something very groundbreaking.
If this is accomplished, then he will have an energy source within his body that defies the Three Thousand Great Daos and countless laws.
Most importantly, this energy source will continuously generate True Qi.
Although possessing True Qi does not guarantee the attainment of Great Luo status—for example, he currently possesses True Qi but remains at the half-step Great Luo level and has not yet broken through to Great Luo—True Qi is the key and core to attaining Great Luo status.
Only by accumulating enough True Qi can one create their own Dao.
Most people who witness the Great Luo (a Taoist master) choose to align themselves with the Tao.
Simply put, it means gaining the approval of the Great Dao and becoming a part of it.
Of course, there are also unique Ronaldo players.
The Three Pure Ones, Three Realms, and Three Treasures Heavenly Venerables are examples of this.
The Three Pure Ones, Three Realms, and Three Treasures Heavenly Venerables are the Great Dao itself.
They are simply personifications of the Great Dao.
Most importantly, the Three Pure Ones, Three Realms, and Three Treasures Heavenly Venerables are the true Great Dao, not the so-called Three Thousand Great Daos.
If a comparison must be made, the Three Thousand Great Paths are more like "subordinate departments" of the true Great Path, belonging to the "branch" of the true Path.
What Chen Yun needs to do now is actually to become an existence like the Three Pure Ones, Three Realms, and Three Treasures Heavenly Venerable.
He wants to create his own great path with great perseverance and wisdom.
The foundation of all this is having enough True Qi.
It was enough for him to evolve into the vast amount of True Qi, equivalent to the Three Thousand Great Daos, after he became a Great Dao.
Imagine how difficult it would be for Chen Yun, who is currently only half a step into the Great Luo realm and far from any of the Three Thousand Great Daos, to try to create a powerful True Qi capable of evolving the Three Thousand Great Daos.
He knew it would be extremely difficult, but he already had a plan in mind and had successfully completed the first two steps.
Therefore, Chen Yun felt that the chances of his plan succeeding were very high.
"As long as I can complete the concept, my strength will advance by leaps and bounds, quickly catching up with Maitreya Buddha and Dipankara Buddha, and even reaching the level of the Jade Emperor, Ziwei Emperor and Shakyamuni Buddha. Surpassing them is not impossible."
Chen Yun pondered silently, “The Dao arises from nothingness and gives birth to Qi, from which Yin and Yang are produced. Yin and Yang combine to give birth to the Three Bodies, and the Three Bodies give birth to all things and bring prosperity.”
This poem, written by Zhang Ziyang, actually contains profound truths about the Dao and reveals how the Dao came to be.
Nothingness is the fundamental nature of the Great Dao. All forms of the world are born from nothingness and ultimately return to nothingness. "Reality" and "existence" are merely temporary variations of the Great Dao in certain local spaces.
The void is not limited by time and space.
Real things have form and appearance, have a beginning and an end, but cannot remain forever.
The void contains infinite possibilities and permanence precisely because of its voidness.
Therefore, Taoist classics describe the Tao as follows: "It is something that is not something, something that is not something, something that is not something, something that is not something, something that is not something, a void that is not a void, the Great Tao is profound and mysterious, the wondrous Tao of nothingness."
Furthermore, Lao Tzu describes it as follows: "What cannot be seen is called Yi; what cannot be heard is called Xi; what cannot be grasped is called Wei. These three cannot be questioned, therefore they are blended into one. Its upper part is not bright, its lower part is not dark. It is continuous and cannot be named. It returns to nothingness. This is called the formless form, the imageless image. This is called the indistinct. When you face it, you cannot see its beginning; when you follow it, you cannot see its end. Only the Dao is great and resembles nothingness. It has been like this for a long time. How subtle it is!"
This means that although the Dao is vast, it has no concrete form. If it had a concrete form, then the Dao would be described in a trivial way.
Chen Yun's current cultivation level only allows him to temporarily evolve into innate nothingness using the "Four Swords of Zhuxian". To be honest, he has no ability to make himself a being like innate nothingness.
However, nothing is absolute.
Although he cannot do it directly, he can indirectly create primordial nothingness, thereby giving himself the possibility of becoming the Great Dao itself.
"All forms of the world arise from nothingness and ultimately return to nothingness."
Chen Yun seemed to be reciting these words silently.
That's right, this statement is the prerequisite for his attempt to indirectly create primordial nothingness.
Chen Yun's idea was that since he couldn't directly become the primordial nothingness, why couldn't he become all things in the universe? Once he returned to nothingness, wouldn't he then possess the conditions for the birth of the Dao—the primordial nothingness?
Therefore, he had been creating "nebulae" within his body and was also working to unravel the evolution of the "universe".
Nebulae and the universe are all stable structures composed of the true Qi.
Once this structure is completely stable, Chen Yun will attempt to evolve this universe composed of True Qi into a myriad of worlds identical to this world, and then continuously accelerate it so that it returns to nothingness.
It all sounds simple, but it's actually very difficult to do.
So far, Chen Yun has only managed to evolve a nebula using his True Qi; he hasn't even successfully evolved a complete "star system," let alone a "universe."
Progress was slow, but he was very patient.
If success were that easy, Ronaldo would be worthless.
In fact, up to this point, Chen Yun only knows that the Three Pure Ones, Three Realms, and Three Treasures Heavenly Venerable is a Great Luo Immortal.
Furthermore, his future successor is very likely to also attain the Great Immortal status.
Speaking of the future successor, he had seen the person appear twice before, but had not seen him since.
To be honest, Chen Yun was extremely curious about this future successor with immense supernatural powers, and he really wanted to know what other earth-shattering identity the other party possessed besides the name Fang Yi.
Curiosity is useless when it comes to this.
Chen Yun knew that he would never be able to fathom the mysteries until he reached the transcendent realm of the Great Luo.
"I'm not going to think about these things anymore. I'll continue to unravel the mystery and hope to evolve a 'star system' as soon as possible so I can verify whether it can eventually evolve into a 'universe' as I envisioned."
Chen Yun cleared his mind of all distractions and began to concentrate on his cultivation.
He did not evolve according to the "universe" of this world, but instead tried to replicate and evolve according to the universe in his memories of his previous life.
The reason for this is that the "universe" of this world is too mysterious, and he has not yet found the "rules of evolution" in a true sense.
Although Chen Yun could create countless small worlds, even vast worlds, single worlds, and temporary myriad realms with a flick of his finger, he didn't really understand why he could create all of these.
Many people may not understand what I mean by that.
If we compare the creation of the world by sheer power to an assembly line, and Chen Yun to the ordinary operator who does the hard work, then many people will understand.
That's right. He only created the world using his own power within the framework of the Great Dao's rules. Everything could only be accomplished under the operation of the Great Dao. If he were to deviate from the Great Dao, no matter how powerful he was, he would not be able to create the world.
Therefore, if Chen Yun chooses to use this world's universe as a template, he will most likely fail miserably.
So, what was so special about that universe from his past life that made him feel it could be used as a template to increase his chances of success?
Because the universe in my past life memories was "asymmetrical".
In short, it is full of uncertainty, but everything is within the "rules".
"I'm just trying it out right now, and it's hard to say whether I'll succeed in the end." Chen Yun didn't have high hopes at first, but the success of the first two steps boosted his confidence, making him feel that success was not impossible.
Well, that's all there is to it—the possibility of success.
Chen Yun continued to unravel the mystery, while time flew by.
one day……
Five days…
Thirty days...
Soon, another month had passed.
Chen Yun, who was in seclusion, suddenly opened his eyes.
"No, this is too slow."
He couldn't help but frown. "I can only extract a wisp of true qi each day. If I follow my original plan, I will evolve the entire universe. If I continue like this, even with an indestructible body, I may not be able to complete it until the world is reborn."
He hadn't realized this before, simply because he thought that since the first and second steps had been successful, he could just continue in this way.
Despite his efforts so far, he has only managed to extract a small amount of true Qi.
With just a little calculation, you can see how slow your progress is.
To put it simply, what he's doing right now is like trying to build an entire universe by taking grains of sand.
This is theoretically possible, but in reality, who the hell has that much time and patience!
Chen Yun had no shortage of patience or time, but attempting this method of enlightenment was extremely resentful.
Most importantly, there is no guarantee that it will succeed in the end. If there is any mishap in the next step, all the previous efforts will be wasted.
He was hoping to attain the Great Luo Realm when the Song or Yuan dynasties established their rule over the world.
Based on the current pace of progress, let alone when the Song or Yuan dynasties established their rule over the world, he would not be able to attain enlightenment even billions of years later.
What will the outcome be then?
Everyone around Chen Yun was dead.
“This approach may be correct, but it’s not suitable for me.”
He finally realized that this approach was unsuitable.
"So, what exactly do I need to do to accumulate enough True Qi in the shortest amount of time, and then launch an attack on the Great Luo Realm?"
Chen Yun fell into deep thought.
He had a vague premonition that this period of contemplation might be the most important turning point in his cultivation career.
Once one can successfully comprehend the Dao, then attaining the status of a Great Immortal will be just around the corner.
"No rush, think it over slowly."
Chen Yun did not delve any further into the matter.
This is not to say that this path is necessarily wrong. In fact, the success of the first two steps means that this path may be successful. However, since it is not suitable for your current situation, why waste time on it?
He felt that he would rather use that time to calm down and seriously comprehend the Tao.
The enlightenment achieved through single-minded concentration is different from the enlightenment achieved by multitasking, unraveling the mystery while trying to understand it.
Chen Yun either doesn't do something at all, or if he does, he goes all out.
Therefore, he must put aside everything he is doing to ponder and find a path that suits him.
Although he decided to abandon the previous approach, he believed that the basic "template" could still be applied, only the way to achieve the "template" needed to be changed.
Enlightenment is not an easy thing. Although some people can achieve sudden enlightenment, the Dao fruit of such enlightenment cannot compare with the Great Luo Dao fruit.
Therefore, it is extremely difficult to comprehend the true Great Luo Dao Fruit.
Chen Yun closed his eyes and pondered, "How can I quickly create a 'universe' composed of True Qi?"
He tried his best to think while also constantly experimenting within his body.
Time slipped away quietly once again.
one day……
Five days…
Twenty days...
To date, Chen Yun still hasn't come up with a better solution.
Even so, he continued to try and think, trying to sort out those thoughts.
Around the sixty-third day of enlightenment.
Suddenly, Chen Yun seemed to realize something. "That's right, the Dao arises from nothingness and gives rise to Qi. What if I myself am the Dao?"
Upon realizing this, he immediately felt as if he were seeing things through a fog, as if he was about to understand.
Chen Yun had previously considered that, with his current strength, it was impossible for him to achieve the state of "the Dao arises from nothingness and gives rise to Qi".
Therefore, this is just an inspiration, not a real solution.
“I need to find a medium that can replace ‘primordial nothingness’ to act as the ‘Tao’ before I can solve this problem.”
Chen Yun pondered what other way, besides the Dao, could evolve all things in the universe.
To be honest, even if the natives of this world thought about it for a hundred billion years, they might not be able to figure it out.
Chen Yun was not a native of this world. The universe in his past life was very special and very different from this world.
Because the universe in his past life memories was very different from this world, the inspiration he could gain was not limited to the Great Dao rules of this world.
This time, he didn't think for long before suddenly thinking of something that might be able to replace the "Tao that arises from nothingness and gives birth to Qi" in the evolution of all living things.
He thought of the famous hypothesis about the birth of the universe—the Big Bang singularity.
"What would happen if I compressed my own true Qi into a 'singularity' and then let it 'big bang'?"
Chen Yun knew that the so-called Big Bang singularity was just a conjecture and could not prove that the universe in his past life memories was born in this way. However, this conjecture was actually of great help to him in his desire to use True Qi to evolve the universe within his body.
Under normal circumstances, it would take him an infinite amount of time to gradually unravel the mystery and form a universe composed of the true Qi. However, if he could achieve the "Big Bang of the Singularity," a complete "universe" could be formed in an instant.
Although he didn't know if it would work, he felt it was worth a try.
If successful, one can save billions of years and obtain an energy source that can continuously provide True Qi in advance.
At that time, this energy source will continuously provide true qi, and one's own strength will also experience a rapid increase, and one may even be able to attain the Great Luo Immortal realm!
