I'm trapped in a block
Chapter 1226 User Manual
Chapter 1226 User Manual
This was a very detailed instruction manual, but the steps on it were a bit strange. Mo Ling glanced at it a few times and immediately became very confused.
What good will this do?
The instruction manual clearly outlined each operating step:
"The first step is to pick up the kimchi jar from the table."
"The second step is to turn on the machine labeled 'Kimchi Maker' on the right."
"The third step is to place the kimchi jars below the kimchi machine's outlet, the specific location of which is marked with a red circle, and wait for 5 minutes."
Every step is very clear, as if it assumes that the person looking at the manual is an "idiot," and all actions must be taught clearly without any mistakes.
Looking at this strange instruction manual, Mo Ling curiously followed along with the instructions.
He took the kimchi jar off the paper, found the kimchi maker, pressed the switch button marked on it, and placed the kimchi jar in the red circle area. The bottom edge of the jar fit neatly against the circle, and Mo Ling nodded in satisfaction.
After confirming that everything was correct, he looked at the next step.
"Fourth step, after waiting for 5 minutes, take the jar that has been filled with kimchi to the work surface and place it on the work position indicated by the blue circle."
"Fifth step, open the freezer directly in front of the control panel."
"Step six: Put the ingredients from the freezer into the kimchi jars one by one..."
Upon seeing this, Mo Ling inspected the control panel of the experimental table and indeed found a control position marked with a blue circle. The size of the blue circle was exactly the same as that of the red circle, indicating that it had been prepared in advance.
But at this moment, a question popped into Mo Ling's mind:
"What if the person performing the operation is colorblind?"
It seems that this user manual is not perfect.
Just as this thought crossed Mo Ling's mind, another idea popped into her head: "Could it be that the creator of this instruction manual knew that the person performing the operation wasn't colorblind?"
He knew it was me!
Mo Ling didn't know why he had such a strange thought, but the idea just jumped out of his mind on its own, just like those passively triggered memories, and naturally appeared in his mind.
"He knows me?"
"Is it someone you know? A friend?"
Mo Ling recalled the scene he had seen when he peered into the house with his vision. The pixelated human figure did indeed feel incredibly familiar to him.
Could it be that person who wrote the formula?
"He knew I was coming, so he wrote out an instruction manual and told me to follow the instructions in the manual?"
"But why me? Why not someone else?"
Thinking about this, Mo Ling became even more curious about what would happen if she followed the instructions...
The stopwatch on the lab bench ticked away, and five minutes passed quickly. Mo Ling kept her eyes glued to the outlet of the kimchi machine.
Just as the countdown was about to end, the seal on the exit suddenly opened automatically, and a strong smell of kimchi wafted out. Then, sticky kimchi began to fall from the exit, and the red numbers on the kimchi machine started to jump. It was originally 0, but it began to rise after the kimchi started falling.
Once the red number turned 500, the kimchi stopped falling from the outlet, and the seal closed instantly. The kimchi jar was only about half full, not completely filled.
Mo Ling then realized that the red number must be the weight in grams.
"Only 500 grams?"
While weighing the kimchi jar in her hand, Mo Ling moved it to the worktable, aligning it perfectly with the blue circle.
"Next, open the freezer in front of you and put the ingredients inside into the kimchi jars one by one..."
Mo Ling checked the operation manual and opened the freezer directly in front of her.
A wave of icy mist hit me; the contents inside seemed to have been sealed for a long time, and the inner walls of the freezer were covered with ice crystals.
Each item had a small tag with a number on it. Number 01 was a cloudy ice cube in a small bowl.
Number 02 consists of some small, black, fragmented objects packaged in a sealed bottle, which are difficult to see.
Number 03 is a small sample of yellowish powder.
Number 04 is an empty bottle...
“No, there seems to be something in the bottle.” Mo Ling looked inside with her vision and saw three tiny hairs.
Number 05 is a piece of hardened skin flakes.
Number 06 is the four corners of a piece of paper. You can vaguely make out that it is a leaflet, or rather, a religious leaflet, with words like "believe," "understand," "join," and "protect" written on it. But because there are only four corners, you can't see the specific content...
After inspecting the materials in the freezer, Mo Ling was even more confused.
"Is this some kind of magic potion recipe?"
"What if, after it's all done, it summons some kind of demon and destroys the world?"
Despite his thoughts, he still took action and picked out the ice block numbered 01.
Should we add this bowl in as well?
Mo Ling tried to fit the bowl into the jar and found that it wouldn't fit, so she could only pour the ice in.
"How could I possibly think about such a thing? Who adds materials and includes the container as well..."
Although the instruction manual is written as if it were for an idiot, he is not actually an idiot.
Mo Ling nodded confidently.
After filling the ice cubes, he picked up the sealed bottle numbered 02.
He tried it, and the small, sealed bottle could actually be passed through the mouth of the jar.
Mo Ling hesitated. He put the sealed bottle in and took it out again, repeating this several times. Finally, having no other choice, he looked at the instruction manual again and noticed a line of small print below "Step Six," which was barely visible unless you looked closely.
"Warning! Do not put the containers in together!"
There were indeed corresponding hints; it seemed the person who wrote the manual had guessed that Mo Ling would do this.
After confirming it once, Mo Ling decisively opened the sealed bottle and poured all the black bits inside into the kimchi jar...
"I was right, I'm smart enough after all."
Mo Ling operated with confidence, completely unaware that she had almost caused a major disaster.
And so, after all the ingredients in the freezer were used up, the kimchi jar was filthy and dripping with a sticky black liquid, looking incredibly eerie.
"Seventh step, transfer the kimchi jar to the 'light-shifting temperature controller' on the right side of the worktable and place it in the position of the yellow circle."
A light-shifting temperature controller? Mo Ling shifted her gaze to the right and indeed saw the machine, which was marked with a prominent tag.
It was a very large machine, big enough for a person to stand inside, with a small yellow circle neatly drawn in the center of its interior.
"Step 8: Go back to the outside of the machine and press the switch."
"Step nine: move away. When the machine is running, step back to a distance of more than two meters."
"Step ten: Wait."
