Chapter 1228 Pixel Reunion

Chapter 1228 Pixel Reunion
The glass jar has returned to its original state, but the machine has not stopped running.

A robotic arm extended from above the machine, grabbed the can, and lifted it to the top of the inner cavity, while the platform that had been supporting the can slowly fell back to the ground.

Every now and then, colorful pixels would appear intermittently inside the jar, as if emitting some kind of signal...

"Di!"

A machine noise startled Mo Ling.

He suddenly felt a chill behind him, so he immediately looked away from the machine and looked behind him.

It seemed as if a gust of wind blew in from outside the laboratory. The testing equipment at the door emitted a red light and a sharp warning sound, but it quickly calmed down, as if it had been suddenly turned off.

The cleaning robot placed by the door also started moving on its own, and came to an open space near the lab bench to begin cleaning diligently.

There was clearly nothing dirty there, but the robot stubbornly kept cleaning there, over and over again, without going to any other places.

The freezer door in front of the control panel suddenly slammed shut with a "snap," as if blown by the wind, or perhaps controlled by a smart system.

The piece of paper that was placed on the table slowly floated up and came to Mo Ling's side in a strange flying posture, circling around him.

After circling around a few times, it flew to the location of the light-shifting temperature controller and landed next to the machine.

The familiar smell of kimchi appeared again, and the kimchi machine started humming again, even though Mo Ling didn't touch it.

The red numbers on the kimchi machine suddenly started jumping strangely. They were originally 0, then jumped to 500, then to 1000, 2000, 4000... and kept doubling until the display screen could no longer show anything and the numbers returned to 0.

The kimchi machine kept humming, and Mo Ling could smell the kimchi, but there seemed to be no kimchi inside. When the red numbers started flashing, the seal on the machine's outlet suddenly opened, but the inside was pitch black, with not a single piece of kimchi inside.

These weren't the only strange phenomena in the lab. Many pieces of equipment started moving on their own, and some bottles and jars were making clanging noises. When Mo Ling turned her gaze, she discovered that they had switched places and appeared in other locations.

Not only that, but there were also sounds of people moving around in the laboratory, and as the wind blew past Mo Ling's side, he could even hear some rustling and muttering.

"Is this way of writing okay?"

"It should work. It's so simple, even a fool could understand it."

"I just don't know how long it will take before we get to see it..."

"We cannot find the time period in which he was located."

"Of course you can't find him, he's the only one."

"The only thing... I really have no confidence in, everything is unknown."

"At least we can control things other than the one thing, so don't worry."

“I’m not worried at all; on the contrary, I trust him completely.”

“We all trust him.”

...That voice sounded very familiar just from hearing it.

Even though it was all blurry and she didn't know what they were saying, Mo Ling felt incredibly at ease after hearing it.

His memories surged again, and the pixelated figure slowly emerged in his field of vision.

The figure walked in from the entrance of the laboratory. Mo Ling watched him walk around the laboratory, sometimes running to the experimental table to pick up the bottles and jars, sometimes checking the equipment in the operating area, sometimes tidying up the instruments after the experiment, and sometimes sitting in the rest area in a daze.

He casually tossed a piece of kimchi he had just taken out of the kimchi machine onto the ground, and the cleaning robot automatically came over and began cleaning up the trash on the ground. However, the kimchi juice stuck to the ground, so the robot had to clean it repeatedly...

Everything was repeating itself. Sometimes the figure would split into many, each looking exactly the same. They talked and cooperated, carefully arranging the laboratory and placing each piece of equipment exactly where it needed to be.

They drew circles on the control panel, adjusted the machine's position, and repeatedly performed the operation with the instruction manual in hand. Finally, they placed the thin instruction manual on the table and weighed it down with an empty glass jar.

When everything was done, the pixelated human figures shattered, like an exploding rainbow, becoming individual, floating pixels that filled the entire laboratory before gradually fading away.

The laboratory fell silent, just as it had been when Mo Ling had arrived, with only the machine still making a faint sound. A sense of familiarity suddenly rose in Mo Ling's heart, as if an old friend had appeared beside him.

He immediately and intuitively peered into the machine. After passing through the inner wall of the machine, he saw countless flashing pixels that were gathering into the glass jar. The colorful tentacles inside the glass jar also became active, emerging from the cracks and swaying excitedly.

The pixels first formed a human-shaped outline at the bottom of the glass jar, and then the outline became clearer and clearer. The flickering pixels gradually settled and took on their own colors.

The person only had a body; the head was a kimchi jar suspended in mid-air.

Upon seeing such a strange "person," Mo Ling showed no surprise whatsoever. It seemed that he had long been accustomed to this scene, and his heart began to race, as if he had met a long-lost friend or relative, and he could no longer suppress his excitement.

Mo Ling clutched her heart, desperately trying to grasp this familiar feeling and recall the person's identity, but the clarity of her memory was always just a little lacking.

After all the pixels in the machine shrank into the humanoid shape, Mo Ling smelled kimchi again. Suddenly, some kimchi that hadn't been there before appeared out of thin air in the previously empty kimchi jar. The colorful tentacles, as if they had expected it, grabbed the kimchi and dragged it into the crack...

After the tentacles received the "food," the fully restored "humanoid" twitched, the mechanical arm above slowly released, and he stood steadily inside the machine.

The machine stopped making noise, and the outermost fasteners began to slowly open. But the man did not wait for the machine to fully open. He walked forward directly, and when his body touched the inner wall, a long, colorful wavy line appeared at the point of impact. He walked out of the machine as if there was no impact volume.

Following the instructions in the manual, Mo Ling stood two meters away. His vision went through the figure, but he saw nothing.

The inside of that humanoid figure was empty, consisting of only a thin layer of modeling.

This didn't surprise Mo Ling at all. These scenes that should have shocked him didn't stir up any waves in his heart. He just calmly watched the person walk up to him.

"haven't seen you for a long time."

"haven't seen you for a long time."

They said the same thing to each other at the same time.
