Chapter 1046 Shakyamuni's Considerations: The True Opportunity for the Great Resurgence of Budd

Chapter 1046 Shakyamuni's Considerations: The True Opportunity for the Great Resurgence of Buddhism!

"This situation is getting more and more interesting!"

Inside the Moyun Cave, the Bull Demon King looked at the banquet that was still being set up and the guests who were still rushing to his banquet, and immediately burst into laughter.

Originally, the Bull Demon King was increasingly annoyed by the successive changes that occurred in the world during his own Great Luo Banquet.

After all, he had just announced to the world that he had achieved the Great Luo realm, but then one after another, unexpected events occurred, which overshadowed his achievements.

Especially at this time.

He achieved the Great Luo here—but in the blink of an eye, a Buddha in Buddhism passed away.

For the Bull Demon King, who had just achieved the Great Luo status, this was an ominous sign no matter how you looked at it.

But at this moment, looking at Ao Bing on the Execution Platform, who threw the seven cursed arrows from the Seven Arrows of Nailhead directly into the killing formation, turning them into part of the killing formation and into a ritual tied to Xuanzang, the Bull Demon King suddenly felt that after he had achieved the Great Luo, these inexplicable changes that followed were nothing.

The brilliance of the Great Luo illuminates heaven and earth—when a powerful figure achieves the Great Luo status, the entire world must make way for him. This moment can be said to be the most glorious and strongest time for this Great Luo.

At this stage, this Great Luo is the absolute protagonist of the world!
Just like the Bull Demon King, when he achieved the Great Luo status, during his Great Luo Banquet, the entire world should only consist of his Great Luo Banquet!
However, in reality, this is not the case.

The glory he brought to the throne of Ronaldo was far too short.

Before his grand banquet was even fully prepared, a series of unexpected events overshadowed his glory, making his grand banquet seem insignificant.

The Bull Demon King was originally a powerful demon who liked to show off—it's easy to imagine how dissatisfied he must have been under these circumstances.

But at that moment, all the dissatisfaction vanished.

At this moment, the Bull Demon King realized that the situation before him was different from the ordinary one.

Right now, we are in the midst of an unprecedented catastrophe!
Under normal circumstances, the existence of the Great Luo is the ultimate state between heaven and earth, the end of cultivation.

However, in this calamity, the existence of the Great Luo is merely one of the many calamities within it!

In the midst of such a calamity, the brilliance of the Great Luo was not as dazzling as one might imagine—especially now, the Niu Mo Wang Buddha's Nirvana made the Bull Demon King clearly realize that in this calamity, the Great Luo beings were the true 'consumables'.

However, although he realized this, it did not affect the Bull Demon King's original dissatisfaction. The struggle for the Holy Throne, a calamity that would determine the course of the Five Great Worlds, was a matter of course to use the Great Luo as a consumable.

In addition, during the Southern Heaven period, clashes between the Great Luo were commonplace.

Therefore, the fall of the Buddha of Compassionate Light did not alert the Bull Demon King. Instead, it made him, in his rage, want to personally intervene and ask the Buddhist sect what they were doing—whether they were deliberately trying to disrupt his grand banquet.

But now, the seven arrows falling from the sky have calmed down the somewhat agitated Bull Demon King!

Indeed, the fall of the Buddha of Compassionate Light overshadowed the commotion of his attainment of the Great Luo realm, and even added a touch of misfortune to the joyous occasion of his attainment of the Great Luo realm.

Even so, it shouldn't be the Bull Demon King who's in a hurry!
The one who died was a Great Luo Immortal of Buddhism, not a Great Luo Immortal of the demon race!
The ones who should be anxious are the Buddhist monks!
At this moment, my choice should be to sit on this Moyun Cave, watching the excitement while holding my own banquet, and then pointing fingers at Buddhism!
Thinking about all this, the Bull Demon King immediately sat back down in his original spot.

Seeing that the guests in the Moyun Cave were all absent-minded, looking like they wanted to go to the Iron Fork Temple to watch the excitement, but were afraid of offending him, the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, and dared not leave, the Bull Demon King immediately burst into laughter.

"Everyone, look here." The Bull Demon King clapped his hands and twirled them into the void.

That ethereal space seemed to be folded up in that instant.

The situation inside the Iron Fork Temple was directly revealed in this Cloud-Piercing Cave.

Sitting in the Moyun Cave, everyone felt as if they had personally stepped into the Iron Fork Temple.

Immediately afterwards, the scene before everyone's eyes was split in two again.

The left side shows the situation inside the Iron Fork Temple, with the focus of the image on the monk Xuanzang.

The scene on the right, however, shows the activity taking place in the Great Thunderclap Temple from afar.

It was the Bull Demon King who projected the scene inside the Great Thunderclap Temple, which he saw from his Great Luo realm, directly into everyone's eyes.

Thus, everyone clearly saw the undulating Buddha light within the Great Thunderclap Temple, and clearly discerned the changes in the minds of the Buddhas within the temple through that light.

Beneath that contracted Buddha light, what was reflected was the incredibly suppressed state of mind of the countless Buddhas within the Great Thunderclap Temple.

"Even so, do the Buddhas in the Great Thunderclap Temple have no intention of killing Xuanzang?" In the Moyun Cave, the Taiyi disciples who came to attend the banquet all had extremely subtle expressions.

With the support of the human emperor, Xuanzang attempted to reform Buddhism, to restore its traditions, and to expound its scriptures—for which, a Buddha himself passed away.

For Buddhism, such hatred is as high as the sky and as deep as the sea.

This is a complete and utter upheaval that will shake the very foundations of Buddhism.

The Taiyi masters present asked themselves: if they were in such a situation, they would undoubtedly take immediate action, first eliminating the culprit to awe the heavens and earth, and then set things right... As for the potential consequences of taking immediate action... no matter how great the consequences, they would have to wait until after they had taken action!

After all, no matter how great the consequences, they could not be greater than the consequences of Xuanzang's decision that shook the very foundations of Buddhism.

But strangely enough, the Buddhist light of the Great Thunder Temple had all fallen silent.

It is clear that the Buddhas of the Great Thunder Temple are not prepared to take action!

"Does the Buddha of Buddhism have such strong selfish desires?" In that instant, almost all the Great Luo Immortals in the world, and even the Taiyi Immortals in the Moyun Cave, saw the weakness of Buddhism.

Although the number of Great Buddhas among them was the largest in the world, these Buddhas were far too 'selfish'.

In their eyes, their own existence is greater than that of Buddhism!

Even the current Buddha, Shakyamuni, with his formidable and masterful methods, could not force any particular Buddha to make a sacrifice for the overall benefit of Buddhism.

Even with the seven cursed arrows cast down by the righteous dragon god on the execution platform as a deterrent...

However, this cannot conceal the fact that Buddhism is currently weak and disorganized.

"Ah……"

"Is this the Buddhist sect that has gained great momentum?" In that instant, countless powerful figures in the world began to have designs on the Buddhist sect and started to have designs on it.

Originally, Buddhism, as a whole, was a colossal entity with the most Great Luo beings in the world. Whether inside or outside Pantian, powerful figures would frown when they mentioned Buddhism, not daring to easily provoke the Buddhas of Buddhism, nor daring to easily touch anything of Buddhism.

To avoid a mishap where all the great Buddhas of Buddhism swarmed at him—a situation no one could withstand.

Among the five great worlds, the largest group of Great Luo beings gathered together. Even though the Jade Emperor initiated the calamity and attracted many powerful beings from outside the realm, few of those powerful beings had any intention of targeting Buddhism.

After all, the risks and benefits of such a decision are far too mismatched.

But now...

But now...

When the disarray within Buddhism became apparent to everyone, everyone's mindset changed!

The Buddhist community today is no longer the powerful and influential one that everyone fears!
Instead, it is a 'fat pig' that has gained the momentum of the flourishing of the Daoist tradition and occupied the infinite creation between heaven and earth, but is not united enough internally and cannot join forces to protect this creation!
They are the most cunning targets in this world!

"Buddhism... ah..."

Especially those Taiyi in Moyun Cave.

After realizing the disarray within Buddhism and the suppression of the Seven Arrows of Nailhead on the Great Luo, even these Taiyi cultivators began to covet a share of the Buddhist fortune.

After all, even when the Buddha Ci'en Guangwang passed away, and Xuanzang wanted to reform Buddhism—such a momentous event—the Buddhist monks were unwilling to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of Buddhism…

If these Taiyi beings were to suffer a minor bite in the Buddhist realm… no, in the realm of a particular Buddha, then naturally the other Buddhas in the Buddhist realm would not take action against the Buddha who was bitten.

As for the Buddha who was bitten... under the threat of those seven curse arrows, would he dare to make a move?
……

"Amitabha." At the Great Thunderclap Temple, Shakyamuni looked at the Buddhas who had suddenly fallen silent before him and couldn't help but close his eyes as well.

When the Bull Demon King used his divine powers to expose the 'weakness' of Buddhism to those Taiyi, did Shakyamuni consider taking action to cover it up?

In the end, however, he still chose to give up!
"The Buddhist community has indeed reached a point where change is imperative."

"That's it."

"Even if Cheng Tian and I join forces, and even with the support of the Human Emperor, our existence is still far too weak and isolated."

"Given our size, it would be too difficult and too slow to completely eradicate the rotten flesh within Buddhism!"

"Even after this calamity ends, it may not be possible to accomplish it."

"The current situation, although it has greatly disgraced Buddhism... has also turned other Great Luo Immortals in the world, and even Great Luo Immortals beyond the heavens, into knives to cut away the rotten flesh of Buddhism."

"fair enough!"

"fair enough!"

Shakyamuni calmed his mind and turned his gaze to the monk Xuanzang.

He suddenly realized that, given that most of the great masters of Buddhism were destined to perish, Master Xuanzang's decision to reorganize Buddhist teachings and interpret Buddhist scriptures in a way that made them more relevant to human affairs was the right one!
That was a brilliant move!

The human world is an incredibly mysterious place.

The beliefs and emotions of ordinary people are even more mysterious.

Even gods who have fallen into the realm of humanity and achieved the Great Luo realm are still subject to the constraints of humanity—this reveals the profound nature of humanity.

But the Great Luo is immortal and indestructible.

Even if one perishes in the midst of a bloodbath, returning is an easy task—completely annihilating a Great Luo Immortal is far too difficult!
Therefore, even if Buddhism had removed the rotten flesh of Brahmanism, and even if their fruits of enlightenment had been taken away by Dipankara Buddha after their fall, it would still be extremely easy for them to return—Buddhism would need to expend a great deal of effort to prevent their return.

But what if they entrust their Buddhist teachings to the human world?

In this situation, it is not the Buddhist sect that suppresses the return of those rotting flesh, but the vast human realm!
Moreover, the speed of human reform and iteration is the fastest in the world!

The Buddhist teachings were modified very quickly after they entered the human world!

This is enough to ensure that even if those 'rotten flesh' return, when they return, the influence originating from the human world and the influence originating from faith will already be an inseparable part of their foundation—their existence will no longer be that of the Buddha of Mount Ling, but the Buddha of the human realm.

"That's exactly right!" In an instant, more and more inspirations appeared in Shakyamuni's mind.

The flourishing of Buddhism in the world is both an opportunity and a crisis for Buddhism.

After all, the audacity and arrogance of ordinary people are beyond imagination.

If Xuanzang had the idea of annotating Buddhist teachings, then other monks would certainly do the same!

At that time, the same Buddhist teachings will be interpreted by you and me—and then that influence will spread along the human path, and even the Great Buddha will inevitably be affected.

Although this is the price that must be paid for the great prosperity of the human world, such a price is indeed far too heavy.

But now... Shakyamuni suddenly had a new idea, a better idea!

What if we divide Buddhism into two parts, the inner and the outer?
The part that is 'table' is the normal, circulating Buddhist teachings in the world, which are influenced by the world and even devoured by it—this part is carried by the rotting flesh in various places.

The "inside" part, however, represents the inner workings of Buddhism, its secret teachings.

They formed the framework for the flourishing of Buddhism, yet they did not spread it among the people—they were transmitted in the world in a secretive manner, as a form of 'true Dharma,' just like those other practices, thus controlling the operation of Buddhism.

In this great opportunity for the flourishing of Buddhism, wouldn't Buddhism only benefit from it and avoid the harm?

"This is the true sign of the great rise of Buddhism!"

In that instant, Shakyamuni was absolutely certain of his idea.
