Chapter 1103 Possession
In reality, he just needed to personally harvest those high-quality nutrients.
After arranging everything, Wu Heng said nothing more and turned to walk towards the garage.
Before starting the engine, he sent a short message to Dean and Sam via an encrypted channel:
"The Witcher forums' been buzzing lately. I heard some people's become public enemy number one? Should we send some coffee and donuts to your hiding place in the sewers?"
At the end of the message were the coordinates of the area in Colorado with the highest concentration of demonic activity.
This is both a satirical remark tinged with dark humor and a clear signal:
'I'm here, ready to clean up your mess!'
Meanwhile, the Winchester brothers were filled with worry.
After the gates of evil were opened, the air in Colorado seemed to be stained with a layer of sulfur and despair.
Dean was now using a rough tree branch he had found as a crutch, limping behind Sam. His left thigh was roughly bandaged, and the blood seeping out had turned dark brown.
Sam's right sleeve was also torn, and the abrasion stung painfully.
The two brothers were exhausted, having just dealt with a witch's lair that used living human hearts to concoct youth-preserving potions.
"Damn it, this place is like a sieve, all sorts of monsters and demons are popping out here." Dean spat, carefully avoiding his injured leg, and leaned against a rusty pickup truck to catch his breath.
Just then, an old car covered in mud sped up and screeched to a halt in front of them. A middle-aged man with a flustered expression jumped out of the car; it was their old friend, Allen, the Witcher.
"Dean, Sam, thank goodness we found you!" Allen gasped for breath, his face filled with urgency. "Something's happened in the old industrial area on the west side of the city. At Bob Carter's house, his girlfriend Lisa seems to be possessed by something. She's incredibly strong and attacks anyone she sees. Bob barely managed to escape and called me, but I can't reach him now. I need help!"
The Winchester brothers exchanged a glance. Despite being covered in wounds, their witcher instincts and sense of responsibility for the incident made it impossible for them to refuse. Without a word, the three of them immediately got into the car, with Sam, who was less injured, driving, and sped off in the direction Allen had pointed.
When they arrived at Bob's somewhat secluded detached house, they heard smashing and a woman's frantic screams coming from inside.
The three burst through the door and found the room in complete disarray. A woman named Lisa, who was originally slender, was using a strange force to overturn a heavy sofa. Her eyes were filled with a completely black color, and she was letting out a low growl.
"Subdue her!" Dean growled, enduring the pain in his legs as he, Sam, and Allen pounced on her.
After a series of skillful struggles, the three of them used their finesse and demon-hunting techniques to finally subdue the incredibly strong Lisa, tie her up with a special rope, and drag her to the center of the living room.
Sam quickly drew a standard exorcism circle on the ground with salt and paint, then tied the woman's hands to the back of a chair, fixing her in the center of the circle.
Bound, Lisa struggled and cursed wildly, attacking the three men with all sorts of foul language.
Soon, Bob, the male protagonist who received Allen's message, ran in from his hiding place outside, saw his girlfriend tied up, and burst into tears.
Sam examined her for a moment, then looked at Bob with a grave expression: "She's possessed by a demon, and a very deep one at that. This demon's corruption is extremely powerful. A conventional exorcism might be able to expel the demon, but Lisa's soul has been corrupted too much; she might be dragged down to hell with it."
Bob was struck dumb. He looked at his girlfriend, who was struggling in pain, and a resolute look flashed in his eyes. "I want to ask, is there any other way?" he said hoarsely. "For example, instead of banishing the demon back to hell, I can use myself as a vessel to draw the demon out of her body into myself, so that Lisa can be saved."
“Bob, that’s too dangerous. No, not just dangerous, you’ll die,” Allen exclaimed.
Bob understood the meaning behind those words: it was acceptable!
“There’s no other choice. Besides, I’m already ill. It’s better for me to die than for her to die,” Bob roared, his eyes filled with a frantic and determined look. “Please help me! Time is of the essence!”
Dean and Sam's attempts to dissuade him were unsuccessful, so they had no choice but to quickly draw another teleportation array next to Bob's request.
Bob resolutely walked into the center and sat down.
The complex transfer ritual began, with flashes of light and energy flows invisible to ordinary people. Lisa let out a shrill scream and collapsed, while Bob's body stiffened abruptly and he lowered his head.
After a moment of silence, Bob slowly raised his head, a tired but clear smile on his face: "Success! I've got it under control! Quick, help me untie it and see how Lisa is."
Dean and Sam hesitated for a moment, but seeing that Bob seemed to have really regained his senses, and that Lisa had also slowly woken up, looking weak but normal, they relaxed their vigilance slightly.
But it's impossible to untie Bob's bonds; everything has to start with the devil.
Sam went over to check on Lisa.
Just then, Bob suddenly shouted urgently to Lisa, "Lisa, run! They're kidnappers who want to use us as sacrifices in an evil ritual. I was just lying to them!"
Lisa, who had just woken up and was still not fully conscious, saw herself tied up, her boyfriend calling out anxiously, and then she saw Dean and Sam, two strange, burly men, and Alan, who had a beard and didn't look like a good person. She immediately believed it was real.
Fear and the instinct to protect her boyfriend gave her a burst of strength. She suddenly broke free from the ropes that had loosened due to the ceremony, lunged at the coffee table next to her, pulled open a drawer, and took out an old-fashioned revolver.
"Don't move! Let go of my boyfriend!"
Lisa raised her gun with trembling hands and first aimed it at Dean, who was closest to her and had difficulty walking.
“Lisa, calm down! Look into his eyes! That’s not Bob, that’s a devil!” Sam shouted urgently, spreading his arms to indicate that he was not a threat.
Bob yelled, "Lisa, shoot! Don't listen to these cultists! Do you remember how stupid I was when I secretly put salt in your coffee on our first date?"
Upon hearing this, Lisa's resolve hardened, and her grip on the gun tightened even more.
"No, it's Bob!" Lisa screamed. "Only the two of us know this! Who are you people?!"
This extremely private detail became the final straw that broke Lisa's trust, and also completely cleared her of suspicion as 'Bob'.
Dean and Sam cursed the devil's cunning in their hearts.
Dean took a deep breath, enduring the pain in his leg, and slowly moved forward, spreading his hands: "Listen, ma'am, put the gun down, it's dangerous. Let's untangle this slowly." (End of Chapter)
