"Burn this useless body, and we'll let you go. You can walk out alive, and even think about avenging us later. It's a very good deal, isn't it?"

It paused, its voice suddenly turning cold, filled with an undeniable threat: "Or... you can die with him right now, choose one."

The other demons gathered around, letting out excited growls and urging, "Burn him! Burn him! Burn him!"

The woman held the light-looking lighter, yet it felt as heavy as a thousand pounds.

She looked at her husband, who was covered in gasoline and lay motionless on the bar, seemingly lifeless, and tears streamed down her face like broken beads.

She believed her husband was dead. How could he possibly still be alive after suffering such torment and drinking so much gasoline?

"Revenge. Live to take revenge." This thought swirled in her mind like a demon's whisper. She looked at the hideous demons around her, and intense hatred and a sliver of desire to survive twisted her heart.

“Rick, I’m sorry,” she murmured, her eyes becoming empty and desperate, as if she had made some kind of decision.

Then the trembling thumb moved toward the lighter's roller.

The demons' laughter grew even more rampant, anticipating the next "show".

chap!
A tiny, weak flame flickered up from the lighter.

The woman closed her eyes, as if using all her strength, and threw the flame at her husband, who was soaked in gasoline.

boom--!

The flames burst open instantly, and Rick's body was immediately engulfed in orange flames!
"Ah ah ah ah ah--!!!"

The very next second the flames rose, a shrill, inhuman scream of extreme pain suddenly erupted from the fire!

Rick, who was supposed to be 'dead,' suddenly opened his eyes amidst the extreme pain of being burned alive.

Those eyes were filled with indescribable pain, shock, and disbelief.

"Madam, your husband was burned alive by you, hahahahahahaha!" The demons laughed so hard they could barely breathe.

They played a cruel trick, using force to keep Rick alive until his last breath and creating the appearance of a suspended animation, all for the sake of this ultimate torture.

Rick instinctively opened his mouth to scream, but...
boom! !

The flame that rushed into his mouth instantly ignited the high concentration of gasoline remaining in his stomach.

A fatal explosion occurred inside his body.

puff--!

Like a balloon bursting at its limit, his stomach exploded, and burning flesh, entrails fragments, and unburnt gasoline shot upwards like a miniature flesh-and-blood firework, splattering the ceiling and the surrounding demons.

Instantly, an indescribable, nauseating smell of burnt meat and gasoline filled the air!
Rick convulsed violently a few times in the flames, then finally fell silent, becoming a truly charred, burning corpse.

It all happened so fast!

The woman's expression froze instantly.

From resolute despair to astonishment, and then to utter, boundless shock, fear, and despair, she witnessed her husband 'resurrected' and experience the most agonizing death in the world in the flames she herself lit.

She even indirectly caused the explosion within her body. Especially after hearing those demonic words, my God, what did she do!
"Hehehe," the woman opened her mouth wide, her eyeballs almost bulging out of their sockets, but it was as if an invisible hand was tightly gripping her throat, and she could only make suffocating, meaningless gasps.

Boundless regret, guilt, self-loathing, and utter desolation instantly overwhelmed her soul.

She killed her husband, who loved her most and was even willing to die for her. This spiritual shock and pain was far more deadly than any physical injury.

The aura of utter despair and self-destruction emanating from her was nothing short of the sweetest and most fragrant dessert to the seven deadly sins demons who feed on human negative emotions.

The demons around them took a deep, ecstatic breath, their faces displaying satisfied and cruel smiles.

"Now, charge!"

The back door of the bar was kicked open, and Dean and Sam rushed in after hearing the explosion.

Dean hurled a large bag of salt at the nearest group of demons like a net, while Sam precisely threw the few remaining bottles of holy water at the demons holding the woman.

Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!

The sounds of salt burning the demons' bodies and holy water evaporating into black smoke rang out instantly. The demons roared in anger and pain, and their formation was briefly thrown into disarray.

"Go!" Sam seized the opportunity to rush forward and grab the woman who had completely lost her mind and was like a puppet, while Dean brought up the rear, using his iron dagger to force back the low-level demons that rushed at him.

The three stumbled and rushed out of the bar's back door, plunging into the streets and alleys outside.

"Quick, get in the car!" Dean shouted, pointing to the impala parked at the alley entrance.

However, their actions had already alerted more demons, and figures with pitch-black pupils kept emerging from the bar, neighboring buildings, and even from manhole covers.

They let out excited shrieks and swarmed in from all directions.

Dean and Sam, dragging their injured bodies and with a mentally broken woman in tow, couldn't move very fast.

To make matters worse, their hastily inventoried equipment was nearly depleted; the salt bags were empty, the holy water was used up, and the bullets were almost gone.

Finally, after several hasty turns, the road was blocked by car accidents controlled by the demons, and the three who abandoned their car and tried to escape were completely trapped in a dead end by the demons.

The demons grinned maliciously as they approached step by step, clinging to the walls and blocking their way. Their dark pupils gleamed coldly, and their mocking laughter rose and fell.

This woman is their carefully crafted dessert; how could they just let her be taken away like this?

Dean and Sam leaned against the cold brick wall, shielding the woman behind them, panting heavily.

Their leg and arm wounds reopened from the intense running, and blood stained their clothes. Despair crept into their hearts little by little.

At this critical moment—
puff!puff!
Two short, muffled thuds came from the back of the alley, followed by the dying screams of a demon!
The two demons blocking their path suddenly collapsed without warning, their throats slit open by sharp blades, the wounds gleaming with a strange crimson light.

Instead of going through the usual complicated exorcism ritual, emitting black smoke, and being sent back to hell, these two demons turned into ashes and vanished!
Real death?!
This unexpected turn of events stunned all the demons!
A figure appeared like a ghost at the gap in the path behind them. It was a woman.

She was tall and slender, wearing a black, tight-fitting leather outfit, with a few messy blonde hairs sticking to her cool and aloof face.

She held a uniquely shaped dagger in her hand, its blade gleaming with a faint silver light; it was this weapon that had easily killed the two demons. (End of Chapter)
