Unexplained earthquakes tore apart roads, torrential rains caused flooding without warning, and numerous vaguely reported, extremely brutal 'mass incidents'.

It was as if disasters had suddenly appeared all at once.

"Damn it!" Dean slammed the TV off and threw the remote on the table. "They're everywhere, there's no way to stop them!"

Sam was curled up on another bed, pale-faced, staring silently at the ceiling.

The demonic power within him was stirring under the stimulation of the apocalyptic aura, but fortunately, the medicine given to him by Wu Heng suppressed it.

But what's even more terrifying than this bloodlust is the mental exhaustion and confusion.

Just as he was losing consciousness and drifting into sleep, the scenery around him changed.

He was no longer surrounded by dilapidated hotel rooms; he stood in a boundless field blooming with pale flowers.

The sky was the color of dusk, and there was no warmth around.

A figure stood with his back to him, dressed in simple casual clothes and with short blond hair.

The figure turned around, revealing the face of a middle-aged 'Nick'.

But those eyes contained endless darkness, wisdom, and a profound sorrow that seemed to be misunderstood by the whole world.

“Sam.” Lucifer’s voice was gentle and magnetic, like a kind and understanding old man calling out, “We can finally see each other as we truly are.”

Under Sam's wary gaze, Lucifer began to tell his story.

He recounted how he was banished from Heaven by the 'dictatorial' Father God for pursuing free will and truth, and how he was condemned to eternal loneliness and stigma.

He claimed that he did not want to destroy humanity, this "crude creation," but only wanted to correct the "mistakes" God made when creating humanity and give humanity a real chance to break free from its constraints.

“He says you have ‘original sin,’ but that’s just an excuse he’s made for his flawed creations. He gives you desires, yet forces you to abstain; he gives you thoughts, yet demands blind obedience. This isn’t creation, it’s torture.”

“I’m not trying to destroy you, I’m trying to help you tear off these shackles. What he’s afraid of is not that you make mistakes, but that you learn to take charge of yourselves. Wake up! Your ‘flaws’ are all shackles that he deliberately left to control you!”

Lucifer's words were infectious and carried a genuine sincerity.

“Look at the power within you, Sam.” Lucifer took a few steps closer, his voice filled with temptation. “That’s not a curse, it’s a gift, a key to a higher level!”

"It shares the same source as my power. We are a match made in heaven. Only in my true vessel, within your body, can I fully unleash my power and lead this world into a new era."

"And only I can help you completely control this power, freeing you from its backlash and troubles, and granting you true freedom."

Sam struggled in his dream. Reason told him it was the devil's lie, but he felt like he was sinking in a quagmire, his consciousness gradually becoming hazy, as if he were about to continue sleeping in the dream.

My resolve gradually softened.

"Sam, wake up! Sam!!"

Dean shouted anxiously and shook the phone repeatedly.

Sam remained motionless, still fast asleep, his expression constantly changing, looking extremely unpleasant.

Dean hurriedly ran out of his room and knocked on Wu Heng's door next door.

"what's up?"

"Nightmare...?" Wu Heng calmly opened the door. He listened to Dean's story as he entered the room, his gaze immediately falling on the sleeping Sam.

Castio was using his divine power to help Sam, but sweat was also pouring down his forehead as he felt a terrifying obstacle.

“Infiltration at the spiritual level is difficult to completely defend against using conventional methods.” Wu Heng walked up to Sam, stretched out his hand, and held a black object about the size of a fingernail and as thin as a cicada’s wing in his palm. Its surface flowed with a faint light like the texture of a circuit board.

But it's not a product of technology.

“I’ll wake him up, you put it on him.” Wu Heng handed the item to Dean.

"This is a psionic disturbance amulet that I made using a portion of the essence of that network evil spirit, combined with soul defense runes. It cannot completely block Lucifer, but it can greatly interfere with and block his direct dream invasion, buying Sam time to wake up and react."

Dean took the amulet, its cool touch feeling strange and capable of absorbing the restlessness deep within his soul.

He did as he was told and put it on Sam, close to his heart.

A faint, shielding coolness spread out, seemingly isolating Sam from the jumble of whispers and temptations in his mind.

At the same time, Wu Heng summoned the evil spirit puppet. The electronic tentacle representing 'internet addiction' emerged from its massive body and actually pierced directly into Sam's head.

It's like it's transparent.

The brain's nerves themselves rely on the electronic transmission of neurons, which is also the reason why some human behaviors can be controlled by 'electronic chips'.

This tentacle possesses far more sophisticated capabilities than technology.

Sam opened his eyes quickly.

"Thank you," Sam said sincerely, panting, feeling his breathing become easier.

“Lucifer’s power is indeed very strong.” Wu Heng turned to Dean, his tone grave. “In a direct confrontation, even I am not confident at the moment. I need to find some additional ‘assistance’.”

"Assistance?" Dean frowned, his face full of confusion. "What assistance could the human world possibly offer in the fight against such a hellish behemoth? The military, nuclear weapons? Don't be ridiculous!"

Wu Heng shook his head slightly: "It's not the conventional power you understand."

"The waters of this world run far deeper than you can see. Besides the active witchers and hidden supernatural creatures, there are some older and more powerful beings who, whether they are asleep, living in seclusion, or restricted by the rules, are hiding in the 'gutters' and 'corners' of reality, barely surviving."

His gaze seemed to penetrate the wall, looking towards some distant place.

“Now that the Apocalypse has begun, the rules are in chaos. They will either be destroyed by Lucifer’s power while they are asleep, or they will be awakened and face an even more dangerous world.” Wu Heng’s voice carried an icy tone. “I just intend to ‘integrate’ these forces.”

"Rather than disappearing without any value, or being crushed by Lucifer, it's better to let me use it."

Wu Heng paused for a moment, without explaining in detail what integration and utilization meant.

But the underlying meaning beneath that calm tone sent a chill down Dean and Sam's spine.

Dean opened his mouth, wanting to ask another question, but Wu Heng raised his hand to stop him.

“Time is of the essence.” Wu Heng’s gaze swept across Dean and Sam’s faces with unprecedented seriousness. “Remember, it’s not just Sam who needs to guard his heart and resist temptation; Dean, you do too.”

He glanced specifically at Dean, his tone emphasizing, "Michael's gaze is also fixed on you. Lucifer will likely continue to employ unconventional methods to achieve his goals." (End of Chapter)
