Chapter 1261 Repeating the same trick

Throughout the entire process, Wu Heng remained stationed within the Demon Hunter Guild.

He would only occasionally raise his gloved right hand, and a faint flash of grayish-white 'balance' power would fill the urgent communications between the angel and demon commanders on the battlefield with noise and distortion, further exacerbating their misunderstandings and confusion.

When Dean returned in triumph with his squad and threw a captured, half-burnt Red-Eyed Demon Guard Legion flag onto the ground of the 'Alliance' command post, the atmosphere inside the tent completely changed.

The fairy elder Ellana looked at Dean, her doubt replaced by shock and a hint of awe.

"How did you guys do that?" she couldn't help but ask.

Wu Heng simply raised his head from the video and said calmly, "The enemy is not monolithic. They are adept at exploiting contradictions, which is sometimes more effective than overwhelming force. Now, we can talk about the subsequent defense deployment."

The crisis here has been temporarily averted. The people or 'monsters' in this alliance are not witchers themselves. Although they do not usually attack humans, they are not on good terms with witchers, which makes it impossible for them to join the Witcher Guild.

However, these guys can at least 'guard the house' and defend the area, which is something David values.

For strategic planning purposes, he personally sought out Wu Heng, which led to the scene we see today.

The extraordinary demon hunter team can't stay here forever, so they need to provide these guys with some 'supplies and equipment'.

It was impossible to take them for free. After seeing the tools that the demon hunters had to kill demons, these guys were naturally envious. They took out all the extraordinary and supernatural materials they had accumulated and exchanged them for other items.

For them, it was just a matter of taking out some unused materials, but they obtained 'enchanted' weapons that could kill demons.

For the Witcher Guild, the ratio of these dialogues was almost three to one. They could offer one unit of support under the guise of assistance and still make two units of profit for free, so they didn't lose money.

Thus, a Witcher supply convoy consisting of three modified trucks, fully loaded with newly crafted 'Balance' and 'Enchanting' items, as well as some regular supplies, was en route.

However, bad news soon reached the alliance command: the supply trucks were attacked after entering the defensive range and completing the handover.

The location was in a canyon one kilometer in front of Iron Anvil Fort, where the supply vehicle was ambushed with precision.

However, the ambushers were not demons, but a group of well-equipped and tactically skilled low-ranking angels from Raphael's faction.

They clearly knew the convoy's route, guard strength, and weaknesses like the back of their hand. The escorting fairy squad fought desperately but still suffered heavy losses, with most of the supplies destroyed or seized.

"There's a mole inside!" Dean slammed his fist on the table after receiving the news, sending splinters flying.

Wu Heng did not get angry; instead, he ordered the 'internet addiction' investigator to thoroughly investigate those who knew about the route.

The results quickly pointed to a small witch clan within the alliance called the Nightwhisper Sisterhood.

This group of witches has been wavering, yearning to regain the 'approval' of Heaven to atone for the sins their ancestors bore for studying black magic, and they are extremely skeptical of human resistance.

In order to secure a place in the future human 'Eden', they made a choice.

'Internet Addiction' intercepted encrypted communications between the leader of the Night Whisper Sisterhood and an angel, confirming their promise to forgive their people's past in exchange for leaking information about the transport team and for Heaven's success.

If the alliance is eradicated, they will be redeemed and able to survive as believers of the angels. "I'm going to smash those traitors' cauldrons!" Dean roared, heading to gather his men.

“No rush.” Wu Heng in the video stopped him, a cold glint in his eyes. “They want a promise of acquittal, so let’s give them an even bigger one.”

He had 'Internet Addict' forge a secret order directly issued by Raphael and sent it to the Angelic Punishment Team responsible for receiving the order. The content was aimed directly at the Night Whisper Sisterhood:
"After the mission is completed, in order to avoid revealing the stain of Heaven's cooperation with lower beings, the angelic disciplinary team is ordered to eliminate all witches in the area and cleanse the traces."

Wu Heng used the same trick again and anonymously sent the forged secret order to the private crystal ball of the leader of the 'Night Whisper Sisterhood'.

Although the plot is old-fashioned, the angels and demons have probably just finished their battle and haven't even had a chance to react yet.

Once they finish their post-battle analysis, this tactic will probably no longer be effective.

This wasn't because Wu Heng's scheme was particularly clever, but because the angels, demons, and these witches had completely opposing stances and were inherently distrustful of each other.

Just like a normal person suddenly forced to cooperate with some 'fraudsters' in northern Myanmar, knowing the other party's identity, one would probably be suspicious of whatever the other party says.

If you suddenly receive a message that someone is planning to kidnap you, and that it's all planned, you'll definitely be suspicious, not trusting.

After all, anyone who still trusts the other person under such circumstances and expresses no doubt would be a fool, risking their life.

Wise people never risk their lives; those who can become angels are wise people.

At least they've lived long enough to see more; even pigs that live that long will become smarter.

Therefore, Wu Heng believed that the angels would also have doubts about this.

According to the location and time agreed upon by the witch and the angel for the next intelligence exchange, Dean and Sam led an elite squad to ambush the exchange point, which was located in an abandoned monastery cemetery.

Night falls.

When the leader of the Night Whisper Sisterhood arrived at the cemetery with two trusted confidants, nervously preparing to exchange new intelligence for a certificate of immunity, they were met not with promises, but with the cold gazes of the Angel Squad and the silently raised Angel Blades.

"What...what do you mean by this?" The witch leader sensed something was wrong and retreated in fear.

"By order of Lord Raphael, you are to be returned to eternal silence. Evil should be eradicated, not embraced!" the angel squad leader said expressionlessly.

Just as tensions were running high, and suspicion and fear reached their peak, the angel made his move, and the witch panicked and tried to fight back. The battle was at its most intense, and the moment when the outcome was about to be decided was approaching!

The team of witchers lying in ambush nearby moved.

Dean imitated Wu Heng, activating the angelic power within his body as an energy source. He raised his right hand, which was wearing a replica glove, mimicking Wu Heng, and a faint green 'plague' light flickered.

An invisible, corrosive force targeting the energy core swept across the battlefield like a gentle breeze.

The angels, preparing to unleash their holy light, suddenly felt a stagnation in their power, causing the condensed holy light to become unstable; meanwhile, the protective spells and counter-attack magic the witches were preparing to chant inexplicably dissipated before they could even take shape.
