Chapter 1298 Adam
Graz raised his head, spat out a mouthful of black saliva mixed with blood, which landed at Eve's feet, and sneered: "Who do you think you are, monster? We serve the great."
Eve reached out her hand, her fair hand gently pressing it against Graz's forehead, which was covered in short horns.
"Ah—!!!" Graz's curse turned into an extremely shrill scream.
Dark gold, seemingly alive energy surged from Eve's palm and entered Graz's head.
Its body began to expand violently like an inflating balloon, its skin stretched until it became transparent, revealing the flesh and blood tissue underneath that was proliferating wildly and twisting and mutating.
The scapula on its back 'plop' pierced the skin, but instead of unfolding into wings, it grew wildly, forked, and turned into several wildly flailing, sharp-tipped bone spurs.
Its face melted and reformed, three yellow eyes of different sizes squeezed open on its forehead and cheeks, and its mouth was torn horizontally, growing several layers of interlocking fangs.
A thick, scaly tail suddenly shot out from the tailbone, slamming into the ground and cracking the floor tiles.
The entire process was accompanied by chilling sounds of bones cracking and reforming, and flesh writhing, and it continued indefinitely.
The other three demons, who were being held down, watched helplessly as their companion was transformed into a grotesque, indescribable mass of flesh, radiating a chaotic and malevolent aura, within seconds.
The screams stopped.
The thing stood up unsteadily, nearly twice its original height.
Fragments of Graz's leather vest still remained on it. It turned to Eve, and all its eyes lost their original demonic cunning and ferocity, leaving only empty obedience.
Then, with a thud, it knelt down at Eve's feet like a mountain of flesh, bowing its head.
There was dead silence.
The other three demons were deathly pale, and they loosened their grip on their hybrid bodies, seemingly awaiting orders.
Eve's gaze slowly swept over them.
“Choose,” she said.
The Witcher Guild, Western Command Center.
Bobby stared at the monitor screen, cursing incessantly.
"She took control of half the city in just two days, converting at least five thousand humans and hundreds of demons. That's incredible speed."
“She’s looking for Crowley,” Wu Heng’s voice came through the communicator. “They have a grudge. Crowley captured her progenitor’s offspring, and she wants revenge.”
"Wouldn't it be better to let them fight like dogs?"
Dean's voice broke in; he and Sam had returned to the safe house and were dealing with the Phoenix Ashes.
“Not good.” Sam shook his head. “Crowley wants to open the Gates of Purgatory, and Eve wants to reclaim all the monster bloodlines. No matter who wins, they will become even more difficult to deal with in the end. Moreover, they are fighting in human cities, and it is ordinary people who will die.”
Dean stopped talking; he hadn't thought of that at all.
A new image appears on the screen:
A team of witchers attempted to infiltrate the city to rescue survivors but were discovered by hybrid monsters, leading to a battle. The witchers were able to kill the monsters, but their numbers were too great, forcing them to retreat and leaving behind the corpse of one of their comrades.
“We need to take the initiative,” Sam said. “Use Phoenix Ashes against Eve, and stop Crowley at the same time.”
“Crowley’s latest location has been found.” Wu Heng pulled up a map with a red dot flashing deep in the Rocky Mountains. “The internet addiction tracked his energy flow. He’s still in that castle, but preparing to move. Eve’s search team is closing in, and he won’t last much longer.”
“Then let Eve go find him,” Dean said. “We’ll pick up the pieces when they start fighting.”
“The risk is huge,” Bobby said. “If Crowley really opens the gates to Hell, or Eve absorbs more power, we’re all doomed.”
There was a moment of silence on the communicator. Then Wu Heng gave the order: "Dean, Sam, you continue to wait for the Phoenix Ash weapon to be successfully forged. Bobby, organize the Witcher squad, establish a defensive line on the outskirts of the city, and try to rescue the survivors, but don't go too far. Eve is too strong now, and we will suffer heavy losses in a direct confrontation."
"Where are the angels?" Sam asked. "They've been watching the whole time."
“They won’t interfere.” Wu Heng’s voice turned cold. “For them, it’s a good thing for demons, monsters, and humans to consume each other.”
As soon as he finished speaking, another communication channel requested access. Bobby glanced at it and frowned: "Unknown signal, but the encryption level is very high."
"Bring them in," Wu Heng said.
The screen flickered, revealing the face of a young man. He was in his twenties, with brown hair and blue eyes, and his appearance seemed somewhat familiar.
Dean stared at the face, his brows furrowing. The person's features were familiar, yet he didn't recognize them at all.
“Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester,” the young man began, his voice steady. “I’m Adam Milligan, and I think we should talk.”
When the young man finished speaking, Dean dropped the tools in his hand, and Sam's expression froze.
“Adam,” Dean repeated the name, “the Adam of John?”
“Yes, we are half-brothers.” Adam nodded. “My mother is Kate Milligan. I know you exist, but you may not know me.”
“We know,” Sam said, his voice dry. “Father mentioned it, but why are you contacting us now?”
Adam's expression was complex, a mixture of hesitation, determination, and a barely perceptible hint of resentment.
“Because the angels found me, they gave me a choice: join them or die, and I chose the third option, which is to come to you.”
"Why is the angel looking for you?" Dean asked.
“Because of my blood,” Adam said. “Winchester blood. The angels said I have the potential to be a ‘vessel.’ They can’t influence Dean, so they want to use me against Lucifer or Michael to see who gets the right body first.”
Dean swore.
Sam pressed down on his shoulder and continued, "Where are you now? Are you safe?"
“I’m safe for now, but angels are looking for me, and demons might be too.” Adam paused. “I don’t want to be used as a tool.”
On this side of the screen, Dean and Sam looked at each other.
Years of demon-hunting experience had instilled in them a sense of vigilance that made them suspect it was a trap, but the face and the stubbornness in the eyes that belonged to the Winchester family were too real.
"Send me your coordinates," Wu Heng suddenly said, his voice coming through the speaker. "We'll send someone to pick you up."
Adam nodded: "Understood. Coordinates sent."
Communication ends.
The room was quiet for a long time. Dean picked up his tools and continued to process the ashes, but his movements were a bit rough. Sam looked at Adam's face frozen on the screen and frowned.
"A brother suddenly appears." Dean chuckled, but there was no warmth in his voice. "Daddy really is... a womanizer everywhere."
“He’s from the Winchester family,” Sam said. “That’s family.”
“Family,” Dean repeated the word, shaking his head. “Fine, bring him back for a visit, but if he dares to cause any trouble…”
He didn't finish speaking, but the knife in his hand clearly scraped the bullet head hard, sparks flying everywhere.
Outside the window, the sky was gradually darkening. (End of Chapter)
