Over the next eight hours, all three forces worked intensively to prepare.

The guild mobilized all available demon hunters except those defending Hell and the Balance Zone, dividing them into seven squads, each equipped with borax weapons and special explosives. Crowley also dispatched three hundred mid-level demons from Hell, who were unafraid of the Leviathan's split infection.

The nature of demons is incompatible with Leviathan, so the infection rate will be much slower.

Using the remaining angelic power, Castio drew a precise energy node map. The seven secondary nodes marked were located at: the Grantspass waterworks, the basement of Sulforth Hospital, the food processing centers of three large supermarkets, and two underground reservoirs.

The main node is the top floor of Dick Roman's corporate headquarters.

A ceremony is being held there.

The operation took place at 1 a.m.

The sky over Granzpass was overcast, with no moon and no stars in sight; only the city lights shone dimly beneath the clouds.

The air humidity was high, and the muggy heat, carrying the imminent threat of a downpour, made pedestrians restless and hurried along, no longer strolling or lingering.

The company headquarters is a 48-story glass curtain wall building, and the top floor is brightly lit at this moment.

Through a high-powered telescope, it can be seen that the top floor has been transformed into an open-air ritual site. A huge pale yellow magic circle is carved on the ground, and a satellite signal transmitter stands in the center of the magic circle. Around it stand twelve human figures dressed in black robes. Their skin is transparent, and you can see the yellow substance wriggling inside.

Dick Roman stood beside the launcher, holding a fragment of a stone tablet in his hand. It was a replica of the Divine Words Tablet, engraved with the instruction codes for the enhanced extract.

He planned to send instructions to 27 food processing plants around the world at 3:00 a.m., when a specific satellite passed overhead.

Once completed, the contaminated food will be distributed to three continents within 24 hours.

"Two hours to go." Wu Heng's voice came through the communicator. "All squads, take your positions and follow my instructions. Attack simultaneously."

Dean and Sam were hiding on the rooftop of the building opposite the main building, dressed in all-black tactical uniforms and with camouflage paint on their faces.

Dean examined the triple-bloodline silver blade in his hand. The blade was coated with mixed blood, giving it a faint silvery-white sheen in the darkness, like ice formed from moonlight.

Castio was on the other side, his eyes closed, his hands pressed against his temples.

His angelic power spread out like an invisible net, interfering with the building's monitoring system and energy sensors. Beads of sweat slid down his forehead; it was strenuous, but he persevered without making a sound.

Crowley and his demonic forces lay in ambush in the sewers and underground parking lots, tasked with clearing out the Leviathan guards on the perimeter.

Time passed by minute by minute.

At 2:50 a.m., Wu Heng's voice rang out on everyone's communicators: "Seven squads, report status."

"Team One, in position."

"Second team, in position."

……

"Seven teams are in position."

“The demon legion is in position.” Crowley’s voice carried its usual languidness. “By the way, the smell down here is disgusting. Leviathan’s slime has corroded my fine leather shoes.”

"Air forces in position," Renault said solemnly. "All air routes have been blocked, and the borax spraying system is ready."

"Water supply cutoff complete." David's voice came from the municipal control center. "The city's water supply system has been shut down, and borax solution is being injected into the main pipelines."

Wu Heng paused for three seconds, then decisively uttered two words: "Action!"

Instantly, all seven secondary nodes were attacked simultaneously. Explosions, gunshots, demonic roars, and Leviathan screams echoed from seven different directions across the city.

The firelight illuminated the night sky, and thick smoke rose.

On the top floor, Dick Roman turned around abruptly, looking around with a grim expression. He could feel the collapse of the node, and the pale yellow energy flow was rapidly diminishing.

“They’re here.” His voice was hoarse, no longer human, but more like the low growl of some kind of amphibian. “Activate the defenses, buy time. Just three minutes, and the signal can be sent.”

The glass curtain wall around the top floor suddenly shattered inwards, not by external force, but by pale yellow tentacles that surged out from inside.

The tentacles, like giant vines, waved in the air. Each one was as thick as an adult's waist, and its surface was covered with slime that corroded the ground and emitted blue smoke when it dripped down.

The twelve Leviathan hosts in black robes turned around simultaneously, their eyes glowing yellow from under their hoods.

They opened their mouths, and energy balls gathered deep in their throats.

Just then, Castio's power interference reached its peak.

All the monitoring screens were flashing static, the energy sensors were malfunctioning, and even the rooftop lights were flickering violently.

In the instant between light and darkness, Dean and Sam leaped from the rooftop of the opposite building, bounding towards the exterior wall of the building across the street. They fired grappling hooks, hooked onto the glass curtain wall frame, and climbed upwards like spiders.

The enormous tentacles lashed out at them.

At this moment,
From the shadows cast by the building, a completely different, enormous tentacle with a metallic sheen emerged, blocking the Leviathan's tentacle.

The wind howled on the top floor of the building, where two tentacle monsters faced each other on the rooftop helipad.

The puppet spirit's metal tentacles gleamed coldly. The silver-gray alloy tentacle was as thick as an arm, with a rapidly spinning tungsten steel drill bit at the tip, and its joints exuded a ghostly green aura of death.

Leviathan's fleshy tentacles were sticky, and its ten pale yellow, thick tentacles were covered with barbs and suckers, their surfaces slippery. It dared not leak much energy out.

The two attacked simultaneously, and the dull thud of metal striking flesh echoed through the air.

The puppet spirit's alloy tentacles pierced straight ahead, and the drill bit grazed the Leviathan's tentacles, only scraping off a layer of slime; it didn't dare to explode it with force.

The Leviathan's tentacles immediately wrapped around it, their barbs hooking onto the gears of the metal tentacles, while its suckers spewed corrosive liquid, but only caused some rust on the surface of the metal scales, without breaking the core.

The puppet evil spirit pulled back its metal tentacles, the gears grinding together harshly, trying to sever them, but was stopped by three Leviathan tentacles that suddenly appeared.

The two energies hissed at the point of contact, tightly confined to the battleground, not letting a single drop escape.

The building houses both demon hunters and energy cores, and neither dares to fight openly.

The puppet demon's drill swerved around the fuel line, leaving only shallow trenches in the ground; Leviathan's tentacles dodged the helicopter wreckage, and corrosive liquid dripped onto the edges, corroding chunks of cement.

The sounds of metal striking flesh and blood mingled together, each strike stopping just short of the mark.

Both sides feared the energy being violently unleashed and wanted to buy time, so they could only look for opportunities within the balance of power, with the killing intent hidden in every restrained clash.

Meanwhile, Sam, who had entered the building on the other side, gripped the wall with his left hand and pulled out a shotgun with his right, bombarding the tiny tentacles that had split off at close range.

The borax bomb exploded, corroding large holes in the surface of the tentacles, but they were still moving.

Dean was faster; he swung his blade directly, the triple-bloodline silver blade slicing through the tentacle like a hot knife through butter. The severed tentacle hissed and died rapidly. (End of Chapter)
