Infinity: Kill your way through the movie world.
Chapter 1364 Lock
He raised his head and looked at Wu Heng, his golden eyes filled with desperate pleading.
"Guild Master, the Demon Hunter Guild is our last hope. We beg you... to protect those angels who have fallen to earth, and even... if possible, please help us reclaim Heaven."
"If Uriel were to gain complete control of Heaven, he would restart the Apocalypse and turn the human world into a battlefield for cleansing demons, which would kill countless innocent humans."
Wu Heng listened quietly, his expression remaining unchanged.
“Castio is still alive,” he said softly.
Elijah was stunned: "What?"
“He’s in Purgatory, trapped there with many of our Witchers.” Wu Heng stood up, walked to the wall, and pulled up the surveillance footage. “As for aiding Heaven… the Witcher Guild just went through the Leviathan War and suffered heavy losses. Most of our elite forces are missing. We don’t have the strength to launch an expedition to Heaven, let alone the ability to fight against an archangel who has unified the factions.”
Elijah's face turned from hope to despair.
“But we can do two things.” Wu Heng turned around. “First, we will take in the angels who have fallen to earth, as long as they abide by the guild’s rules, do not harm humans, and do not cause chaos. Second, we will find Castio and bring him back. He is the spiritual leader of your faction, and only he can regroup.”
“But time…” Elijah said urgently, “Uriel won’t wait. He’s probably already cleaning the prisoners in the confessional. They are all loyal warriors.”
“Haste won’t solve anything,” Wu Heng interrupted him. “You need to rest and recover your strength. As for the matter of Heaven…”
Just then, the office door was pushed open.
Renault rushed in, his face filled with rare excitement: "Guild Master, they're back! The nine people who returned from Purgatory just teleported to the Guild Square!"
Wu Heng's eyes narrowed, and he immediately walked outside.
Elijah struggled to get out of bed and followed him.
In the guild's main square, nine people stood in the center of the teleportation array, their clothes tattered and covered in blood, but their eyes held a mixture of ecstatic joy at surviving a catastrophe and a deeper sorrow.
Hundreds of witchers gathered around, holding their breath as they watched the 'missing' return.
Wu Heng strode over, his gaze sweeping over the nine faces: "Where are the others?"
The woman leading the group, whose training records indicated her name was Sarah, stepped forward. Her voice was hoarse but clear: "Reporting to the Master, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Castio, and ninety-six other Witchers have chosen to remain in Purgatory to continue searching for other potentially surviving Witchers and to establish a temporary camp awaiting rescue."
Suppressed gasps rose from the crowd.
"They... stayed behind voluntarily?" a young witcher asked incredulously.
“Yes.” Sarah nodded, tears welling up suddenly, but she gritted her teeth to keep her voice from trembling. “My twin brother, Alan… he chose to stay and let me come back to take care of my child. He said… he said the child is too young to lose his mother.”
Behind her, a middle-aged man named Tom choked up as he added, "Dean asked us to tell them that they won't give up, that they will fight to the last moment. He also said... he also told you, President, not to rush to save people, but to deal with the mess in the human world first."
Wu Heng remained silent for a few seconds.
Then he calmly asked, "What are the coordinates? The coordinates of the passage you came out of, remember them?"
All nine people nodded in unison.
Sarah pulled a dark red crystal from her bosom. It was given to them by Benny and contained the spatial anchor points of the passage.
Wu Heng took the crystal and held it in his palm.
The crystal was slightly warm, with tiny specks of light flowing inside. He closed his eyes, channeling his mental energy into the crystal to read the coordinate data.
A few seconds later, he opened his eyes. "The coordinates are valid, but too blurry," Wu Heng said. "The spatial structure of Purgatory is constantly changing. Coordinates alone are not enough; we need a more precise positioning beacon."
All eyes turned to Sarah.
She is one of the twins and is related by blood to her brother Allen, who remained in Purgatory—a connection more fundamental than any magical mark.
Sarah wiped away her tears and straightened her back: "President, what do you need me to do?"
Two hours later, on the third basement floor of the guild, in the advanced ritual room.
In the center of the room, on the floor, was a complex magic circle with a diameter of ten meters. The patterns of the magic circle were drawn with a mixture of silver powder and mercury, and under special lighting, they gleamed with a cold luster.
Sarah stood in the center of the magic circle, wearing a specially made sensory suit, a tight-fitting black fiber material, the surface of which was embroidered with runes to enhance mental connection.
Elijah stood outside the magic circle. Although his angelic power had not fully recovered, it was enough to sustain the energy supply for the ritual.
Wu Heng stood in front of the control panel, his fingers moving rapidly across the virtual interface.
"The principle of bloodline tracing is quantum entanglement," Wu Heng explained while adjusting the parameters, his voice as calm as if he were explaining a weather forecast. "Twins have a genetic similarity of over 99 percent, and their soul fluctuations have a natural resonance. When one of them emits a strong will to survive in a certain dimension, the other can sense it, like a reflection in a mirror."
He looked at Sarah: "You need to recall your most profound memories with your brother, the more intense the better—happiness, sadness, anger, fear, any strong emotion will do; emotions are the fuel of the soul."
Sarah closed her eyes.
She remembered when she was seven years old, she and Allen got lost in the forest, and a torrential rain started after dark.
Allen took off his coat and gave it to her, shivering from the cold, but kept holding her hand and saying, "Don't be afraid, your brother is here."
They hid in a tree hollow, listening to the howling wolves outside. She was so scared that she cried, so Allen sang to her, though he was terribly off-key, but she eventually fell asleep.
She remembered the night she was fifteen, after her parents died in a car accident. She and Allen sat in the empty house, neither of them speaking. Finally, Allen stood up and said, "From today on, I will take care of you." He dropped out of school to work odd jobs to support her through high school.
She remembered telling Ellen a year ago that she was pregnant.
The man, who always had a serious expression, was stunned for a long time, then suddenly jumped up and laughed like a child. He said, "I'm going to be an uncle!" and then started planning what toys to buy for his nephew.
Tears rolled down from the corners of my eyes.
The magic circle lit up, a soft, pale blue glow, like moonlight shining on the water.
A beam of light rose from beneath Sarah's feet, coalescing above her into a blurry image: a crimson sky, undulating earth, and a makeshift camp built from bones and metal debris.
There were figures moving around in the camp, one of whom had his back to the screen and was using a bone knife to dispose of a monster's corpse.
Sarah recognized that figure immediately from behind.
It's my older brother, Allen.
"Lock." Wu Heng uttered two words and typed the final command on the console.
The image freezes, the coordinate data scrolls wildly, and finally settles into a series of complex spatial parameters.
At the same time, Sarah felt a sharp headache, as if a needle were piercing deep into her brain from her temple. She groaned and knelt on one knee. (End of Chapter)
