Chapter 759 Seris's Martial Arts

Chapter 759 Seris's Martial Arts
-
"Who?!"

"I."

As a slightly languid, deep voice entered everyone's ears, the tall, dense, grayish-white grass stalks in front of them parted neatly to both sides like harvested wheat, revealing a silver-gray deity surrounded by several silver-gray giants taller than ordinary Astartes.

Thor Tavitz had once had the privilege of being close to the Primarch and was thrilled by his unparalleled perfection and splendor. He was by no means a man who did not understand etiquette. However, at this moment, he and his brothers were stunned into standing there, astonished by the person they were seeing.

“Ah, Lord of Steel. Salute to you.” Lucius was the first to react, the swordsman sheathing his sword and saluting the other.

“Oh, Lucius, to be honest, you look better the way you are.”

The swordsman looked up in confusion, his face showing surprise and a hint of smugness.

"Thank you, sir. I had no idea my reputation had spread so far?"

"Hmm, it's definitely you."

Both sides smiled at the same time, despite their completely different understandings.

Tavitz mentally reviewed the situation and did not believe that Lucius had ever had the opportunity to meet the Primarch of the Iron Warriors before, let alone the fact that Lucius seemed to know him so well in his words.

So what is this? His mind was a complete mess.

“Company Commander Thor Tavitz.” The giant with ice-blue eyes nodded at him. “What company commander are you now?”

What kind of question is this? But at least the conversation has begun, and it is not proper for the son of an emperor to leave a Primarch's inquiry unanswered.

"Company Commander, sir."

"Almost all the tenth company commanders are interesting, aren't they, Gavial?"

Upon hearing this call, Tavitz and his men finally noticed the pearl-white power armor hidden by the tall, muscular silver-gray figures. The wolf heads and the number XVI on the armor indicated the legion to which they belonged.

An Astartes with a crescent moon mark on the right eyebrow of his helmet stepped forward as the Primarch spoke.

They knew before their arrival that the Shadowmoon Wolves would be coming to their aid soon, but why was it Lord Peturabo himself...?
“Company Commander Tavitz.” Gavial Locken walked up to them and gave an eagle-scented salute, which Tavitz returned. “Perhaps I shouldn’t say I’m happy, but it is certainly comforting to see you and your men still alive.”

They chatted for a while, and Tavitz was surprised to find that the Steel Lord was much more approachable and even friendly than he had heard, though he would occasionally utter some strange remarks, such as, “It’s been so long since I’ve seen Lucius’s creativity with desserts, it’s really nostalgic.”

After learning what these people had been assigned to by Commander-in-Chief Eldoron, the Lord of Steel immediately said that he would send several of his warriors to assist the Sons of the Emperor.

Tavitz accepted this situation with a mixture of gratitude and confusion, while also finding the composition of the team and the allocation of command even more perplexing: the five Shadowmoon Wolves' company commanders were under the command of the Iron Warrior Primarch, and he wondered what the new Warmaster's intention was in making such an allocation.
They quickly found some relics: fragments of armor with a vermilion paint coating, bloodstained uniforms of the Imperial Army, a Blood Angels helmet with paint almost completely eroded by a sharp object, and fragments of the Emperor's Sons' blood-stained power armor.

“That should be enough,” said the Lord of Steel, somewhat absentmindedly. “It’s time to make preparations.”

He beckoned, and the guards, clad in the latest equipment, began to remove the large shields from their backs and equip them to their left hands.

"grown ups?"

"Listen, what's that noise?" Lucius suddenly said, and the swordsman straightened up, looking alertly in a certain direction.

"It's really sensitive." The Lord of Steel praised inexplicably, and then the six Terminators simultaneously plunged their large shields into the ground and raised their weapons.

"Activate the stealth field generator and recorder," the Lord of Steel commanded, while simultaneously calling to the other Astartes present, "Everyone, retreat behind my guards."

"Are you insulting us, Lord of Steel?" Azekel Abaddon's voice was brimming with the prelude to an explosion. "Shadowmoon Wolves need to cower and hide behind Iron Warriors? Absolutely not!"

He strode forward, reaching the very front, and pounded his breastplate. "Brothers, follow me! Wolf pack! Wolf pack!"

"Now you're putting on airs again!"

Before Loken could even speak up to stop him, the Lord of Steel—and none of the Astartes present, including Lucius—saw how he did it—step over the Terminator's shield wall, then grabbed the massive Abaddon by the scruff of his neck and tossed him back into his comrades with ease, as if the hundreds of pounds of metal and muscle were nothing.

"Alright! Be quiet! I need to record this valuable biological observation video! I'll clean them up after I'm done recording!"

The “them” that the Primarch spoke of are now gradually revealing their true forms to everyone. They are a vast army of giant spider monsters, with the most variant types that Tavitz has ever seen.

Hundreds, perhaps even thousands, of these monsters were approaching in orderly formation from afar. Among them were the types they had seen before, which were four-legged creatures that walked on their bellies and attacked with four legs on their heads and chests, as well as those flying creatures that were clearly of a higher level and had sharp crests on their heads. But there were also many types that they had never seen before.

The mouthparts transformed into flat shovels, and other super-heavy monsters of various shapes were guarded in the center by the combat species. After arriving at the ruins of the destroyed white thorn trees, they began to flatten and devour the remains. Then, they spat out the melted white gelatinous filaments from the silk sacs at their tails. Smaller variants, only a third the size of the combat monsters, then poured in and used their forelimbs, which turned into shovels and other tools, to scrape off the white substance and begin rebuilding on the leveled ground.

Throughout the entire process, no insects noticed the Astartes just tens of meters away, which was clearly thanks to the force field generator mentioned by the Lord of Steel.

“These are…”

"They are rebuilding the thorny giants you destroyed, platoon leader. Clearly, this architectural style is very important to them," said the Lord of Steel. "Orderly reconstruction, practical differentiation, the ultimate evolutionary achievement of gregarious creatures."

Abaddon, still agitated despite being calmed down by his three companions, spat out, "Such a high opinion of the Xenomorph is not something a Primarch should say, sir!"

"...You know what? If you said that to me at a different time, your head would be ripped off and hung on the bow of the Vengeance ship, and no one could plead for it. Abaddon, you should be secretly happy that your name is Abaddon. —Alright, that's all for now, time to kill them all."

The Astartes were immediately filled with fervor, drawing their weapons and waiting to be ordered to the battlefield, but a figure was faster than them once again.

Someone appeared at the front of the formation, raised his leg, and then the giant spider monster's metal exoskeleton made a crisp cracking sound as it was trampled and burst.

"Try the Seris Traditional Martial Arts Slipper Technique, you bugs!"

The Iron Lord stomped through the swarm of insects with abandon, as if those naturally ferocious creatures were nothing more than tiny, fragile insects.

“So,” Luke Sadiri quietly asked Loken again, “we came here to…?”

“Don’t ask so many questions,” Loken said, his voice echoing through all the Astartes helmets. “The Warmaster knows his brothers better than we do. We just need to make him happy.”
